급기구 유입각도에 따른 실내 환기효율 (Indoor Ventilation Efficiency Depending on Diffuser Inlet Angle)

  • In this study, numerical simulation has been conducted to investigate dispersion of a pollutant released from a new furniture, a kind of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). A sofa which generates formaldehyde is implemented by using an immersed boundary method. Large Eddy Simulation (LES) is employed to obtain time-dependent velocity and concentration fields. It is shown that the ventilation efficiency in this room can be improved by changing inlet angle of diffuser, even though other conditions still remain unchanged. Both active diffusion near a sofa and air flow pattern are important parameters to enhance the ventilation efficiency.

아파트단지 환기경로 파악을 위한 주풍향별 바람장 분석 (An Analysis of Wind Field According to the Prevailing Wind Directions for Understanding of Ventilation Passages in an Apartment Complex)

  • A numerical study with Envi-met model is experimented to investigate the characteristics of wind pattern in apartment complex. In all case, most conditions such as wind speed, temperature, and surface features are considered as the same, but wind direction is the only different factor. The wind directions considered in this study have a meaning of prevailing wind direction. When the prevailing wind with the direction of $170^{\circ}$ blows into the complex, the ventilation passage toward the outside of complex is formed and the stagnation of air is not expressed. In case of having the direction of $300^{\circ}$, most evident ventilation passages are composed. When the inflow wind direction is the northeast, $30^{\circ}$, there is some possibility of stagnation phenomenon. This is because the arrangement of buildings makes a right angle with the inflow wind direction.

선박용 주방후드 환기시스템에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of the Kitchen Hood Ventilation System for Marine Environment)

  • This study regards distributions of flow in the ventilation system used in the kitchen hood in a ship. In this study, for describing the flow in the ventilation system, three-dimensional steady-state turbulence was assumed for the governing equation. When the plume was formed, three gases, CO, CO2, and HCL, in the flow field of the hood were considered as the plume, and it was assumed that the sum of concentrations of the gases was 100%. As a result, it could be confirmed that the plume was smoothly discharged when the flow rate of the supply was ten times lower than that of the exhaust.

  • This study aims to evaluate performance of ventilation and thermal about breathing wall by flowing air to indoor on appropriate conditions that is effective aperture area in the Central region(20, 50, $80cm^2/m^2$). The result is as follows : 1) Sectional temperature distribution of inflow and outflow out under the constant ventilation was reviewed. In the case of inflow, outside temperature increase effect was confirmed. 2) The more differences of temperature between outdoor and indraft of air was high, the more heat recovery was high.

  • This study analyze indoor thermal comfort properties such as PMV, PPD and fluid variables when the cooling loads are light, occupant and ventilation. There are 6 cases to study for the indoor unit installation conditions and ventilation rates. Numerical method is used to study the indoor environmental properties and experimental study is adapted to analyze reaching time by variable cooling load conditions.

  • The temperature and moisture distributions in a dry room with a heat and moisture source -i.e., workers- are studied numerically by using a standard $k-\varepsilon$ turbulence model. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of heat and moisture ventilation inside the room, the heat removal capacity and the moisture exhaust efficiency are introduced. The effectiveness of ventilation control is analyzed by evaluating the temperature and humidity distributions in the room quantitatively. It is found that the mean absolute humidity inside the room is almost constant regardless of the models and the heat generation rates in this study range. This results from the fact that the moisture generation by the workers was relatively small. Through the modification of the design, 40% improvement in critical decay time was achieved.

통풍에 의한 휘발성 유기화합물의 실내 거동 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on Behavior Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compound Caused by Ventilation in a Room)

  • Recently, volatile organic compound(VOC) has been noted as a main cause of air pollution. VOC, with its toxic and offensive odor, is hazardous to health. Furthermore indoor, underground and hish-rise buildings are preferable living spaces. People spend more than 80% of the day indoor, so indoor air pollution is a matter of importance. In Korea, from 2004, 10 types of indoor pollutants in public facilities have been identified. However, there is no standard for individual VOC, so the regulation has not yet effectively been carried out. In this study, we have studied on the diffusion of Benzene in a room using a numerical analysis for various air-controlled conditions consisted of door, window and ventilation system. This study investigates spatial concentration distribution and time-history of room-averaged benzene concentration for several cases. The results of this study show that when the room is ventilated by a small fan only for 30 minutes, the average concentration of benzene is decreased a very little, thus the impact to human body would be serious compared to the case of natural ventilation by window and door, In the case of natural ventilation by window and door, if the wind speed is higher than 0.5m/s, it takes small than 4 minutes for benzene to spread to the target concentration of $1.2mg/m^3$.

도로터널 횡류환기방식의 환기특성 및 시스템 설계 관한 연구 (A study on the ventilation characteristics and design of transverse ventilation system for road tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로터널의 횡류환기 및 반횡류환기 방식의 설계 방안을 도출할 목적으로 수치해석적인 방법에 의해서 환기특성을 고찰하고 소요환기량과 환기 시스템 용량의 관계를 검토하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 급 배기 횡류환기방식에서 환기시스템의 급 배기풍량은 이론적으로 소요환기량과 자연환기량의 차가 되나, 해석결과에 의하면 환기시스템 용량은 소요환기량과 자연환기량의 차보다 약 10%정도 증가하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 또한 제트팬을 설치하여 종방향 풍속을 증가시키는 경우, 환기시스템의 급배기 풍량은 감소하나, 터널풍속이 증가할 수록 터널 내 농도가 감소하기 때문에 오염물질에 대한 배기효과가 감소하여, 횡류 환기시스템의 용량 감소효과는 감소하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 급기만 하는 반횡류식에서는 터널입구 풍향이 차량진행방향과 반대인 경우에는 환기시스템의 급기풍량은 소요환기량과 동일하나, 해석결과에서는 약 13.3% 이내의 범위에서 증가하는 것으로 나타나고 있으며, 터널입구 풍속이 음수인 상태에서는 제트팬 댓수를 증가하여 도 환기효과는 기대할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다.

초고층 건물에서 연기이동 복합력에 의한 환기계획 (The Ventilation Plane Due to Smoke Driving Combined Forces in Super High-Rise Buildings)

  • 초고층 건물의 환기계획에서 설비의 효율적인 운영을 위해 환기설비는 제연설비 겸용으로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지하 4층 지상 59층의 초고층 건물을 분석모델로 선정하고 수치해석을 통해 연기이동력에 의한 층별 압력분포를 검토하였으며, 분석모델 건물에서의 연기이동력이 환기 및 제연에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 또한 이들 결과를 바탕으로 분석모델 건물의 환기계획에서 주방용 환기댐퍼를 환기-제연 겸용으로 설계할 때 연기이동의 복합력과 요구되는 댐퍼의 개폐력과의 관계를 운동해석 시뮬레이션을 통해 결정하였고, 그 결과로부터 적합한 댐퍼의 구동장치를 선정하였다.
