This is a study of reputation from the perspective of evolutionary psychology. To start a theory building process in PR, Tall Puppy scale is examined using dominance hierarchy and reputation hierarchy. Tall Puppy scale is a measure toward highly successful, thus famous people. when they fall. The result showed that Koreans have negative attitude toward famous people 8times more and prefer their fall than Austrailians. The number one variable to explain the psychology of reputation hierarchy was self-esteem. It was strongly correlated with reputation hierarchy attitude. People with higher self-esteem were more generous about famous figures when people with low self-esteem prefer more the fall of tall puppies. A discussion for reputation hierarchy theory is followed.

The rapid growth of e-business market makes new online companies to start and existing offline companies to join in this area. As the number of players of this market grows rapidly, the competition among them is very intense. Many companies invest huge resources to online marketing including search advertisement, email advertisement and banner advertisement. Because these traditional online marketing activities mainly focus on how to invite visitors to their web sites, ROI of these marketing activities are getting lower. Many companies are looking for a new marketing method to escape this situation. In this paper, we propose ROMS (Realtime Online Marketing System) which supports tools to improve conversion ratio of e-commerce sites, ROMS gathers behavioral data of visitors and analyzes it in realtime. ROMS supports live chats, visitor profiling, context analysis, event detection, and live marketing. With ROMS, personalized offers based on visitors' realtime context can be made for each visitor.

PLS(Pohang Light Source) will begin the PLS-II project that has been funded by the KOREA Government in order to further upgrade the PLS which has operated since 1992. The control system of the PLS-II has distributed control architecture, with two layers of hierarchy; operator interface computer (OIC) layer and machine interface computer (MIC) layer. The OIC layer is based on SUN workstation with UNIX. A number of PC-based consoles allow to remotely operating the machine from the control room. PC-based consoles use the Linux or Windows operation system. Similar consoles in the experimental hall are used to control experiments. The MIC layer is directly interfaced to individual machine devices for low-level data acquisition and control. MIC layer is based on VMEbus standard with vxWorks real-time operating system. Executable application software modules are downloaded from host computers at the system start-up time. The MIC's and host computers are linked through Ethernet network. It should enable the use of hardware and software already developed for specific light source requirements. The core of the EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System)[1] has been chosen as the basis for the control system software.

Vitis vinifera thaumatin-like protein (VVTL1) is a fruit-specific and ripening-related protein in grape. In order to isolate VVTL1-homolog gene and fruit-specific promoter from Campbell cultivar, we isolated a genomic clone containing VVTL1-homolog gene from grape genomic library through plaque hybridization. VVTL1-homolog gene has an intronless genomic structure, which the pattern is matched with those of other PR5 genes such as osmotin and osmotin-like protein genes. Transcription start site was determined by primer extension analysis. The promoter region of VVTL1-homolog gene contains a sequence or structure, especially the location and number of TCA box and ABRE (abscisic acid-responsive element), distinct from other reported plant PR5 genes, though with several known functional elements such as a TATA box and CAAT box. These results suggested that VVTL1-homolog gene may be regulated by a plant hormone, abscisic acid, and one or several stresses such osmotic pressure and pathogen infection. The isolation of fruit-specific promoter may be helpful to breed a genetically modified grape with valuable phenotype or materials in fruits.

This paper is concerned with the single vendor single buyer integrated production inventory problem. To make this problem more practical, space restriction and lead time proportional to lot size are considered. Since the space for the inventory is limited in most practical inventory system, the space restriction for the inventory of a vendor and a buyer is considered. As product's quantity to be manufactured by the vendor is increased, the lead time for the order is usually increased. Therefore, lead time for the product is proportional to the order quantity by the buyer. Demand is assumed to be stochastic and the continuous review inventory policy is used by the buyer. If the buyer places an order, then the vendor will start to manufacture products and the products will be transferred to the buyer with equal shipments many times. The mathematical formulation with space restriction for the inventory of a vendor and a buyer is suggested in this paper. This problem is constrained nonlinear integer programming problem. Order quantity, reorder points for the buyer, and the number of shipments are required to be determined. A Lagrangian relaxation approach, a popular solution method for constrained problem, is developed to find lower bound of this problem. Since a Lagrangian relaxation approach cannot guarantee the feasible solution, the solution method based on the Lagrangian relaxation approach is proposed to provide with a good feasible solution. Total costs by the proposed method are pretty close to those by the Lagrangian relaxation approach. Sensitivity analysis for space restriction for the vendor and the buyer is done to figure out the relationships between parameters.

This case study focuses on the market for used products, and introduces the case of the start-up company, SELL-IT, a company that has made great efforts to solve the problems commonly facing their customers and has been rewarded by improved customer satisfaction. Focusing on improving communications between buyers and sellers, the root of many problems in any market, SELL-IT has introduced a number of new systems to solve the problems that plague the secondhand market. This case study provides marketers with practical implications to improve customer satisfaction in the secondhand market.

Linux was developed by Linus Torvalds at University of Helsinkyi, Finland. Today Linux becomes to compete with windows operation of Microsoft. and is adopted worldwide on IBM products. The British government is viewing Linux as a desktop operating system. In Tunisia, Linux is under consideration as the governmental operating system. Even Sun Microsystems, the powerful supplier in workstation and sewer market, is working on developing ways in using Linux. is now getting further attentions on governmental level in several countries. The growing interests in adopting Linux in computer operating systems are not on a personal preference level any more. A number of companies and organizations, even some governmental administrations start to see its potential capabilities and are looking for ways for its applications. The necessity of teaching Linux in university is, therefore, imminent and should be discussed in course development without delay. The purpose of this paper is showing the things to be considered, problem analysis and some solution as grafting Linux in university education.

Universities have been investing in their information systems to keep their management functions working efficiently and effectively. Thanks to these efforts, faculty members and other university employees can perform their tasks efficiently almost anywhere and anytime. Several universities embarked upon information systems projects to take advantage of emerging information technologies in their administration and management. Only a limited number of universities have achieved their objectives; some others have been even tinkering with the idea of abandoning their newly developed academic information systems. The development of academic information systems often start with a relatively high risk of system failure. Sometimes, these systems encounter unforeseen obstacles or fail in systems development. These universities with problems also can overcome these issues by collecting their wisdom. The mindfulness theory is suitable for dealing with implementing academic information systems. This research analyzes an academic information systems development case from a mindfulness perspective, and also addresses its research implications and theoretical contributions.

There are a number of factors affecting the continued airworthiness of composite structure. Unlike metal structure, damages made in manufacturing processes or maintenance repair procedures need to be considered. The different levels of degradation and damage, which may occur, must be considered for structural substantiation of static strength, stiffness, flutter, and damage tolerance. This can start with an evaluation of environmental effects for the particular composite material. Matrix-dominated composite properties, such as compressive strength, are most sensitive to moisture absorption and temperatures. Static strength substantiation includes the smaller damages that will not be detected in production or maintenance inspection while damage tolerance addresses larger damages that need to be repaired once discovered. In this paper, we intend to list the airworthiness regulations and advisory circular that are deemed closely related to the certification of composite airplanes.

It seems crucial for entrepreneurship researchers to study how individual creativity is influenced by a number of entrepreneurship related traits. This is because individuals aiming to become entrepreneurs by launching their own start-ups need to enhance their creativity level to compete successfully in the target market. In the field of entrepreneurship studies, however, there is no literature about exploring the relationship between individual creativity, and entrepreneurship related constructs such as intrinsic motivation, parasocial interaction, prosocial motivation, and perspective taking. In this sense, our proposed research model focuses on filling the research void like this. To verify the proposed research model. we collected valid data from college students. To add rigor to our study, we allowed participants to view a talk show content where a successful entrepreneur was telling his story. Empirical test results were robust statistically enough to prove the validity of our proposed research model.
