Development of FSW for use in lap joint production would expend the number of applications that could benefit from the technique. In the study, an extensive investigation was carried out on FSW lap joints, including interface morphology and mechanical properties. Welding variables included welding speed, rotation speed and, of particular importance, lap joint a methods. Examination of metallographic cross sections and failure locations showed a critical sheet interface present in all welds. Results indicates FSW lap joints may potentially replace other joining processes like resistance spot welding and riveting.
E2(t=2.411, p=.027) E4(t=2.388, p=.029)시점에서 발목 관절의 각도는 테이핑 처지 전에 비해 처치 후 발목의 각도가 통계적으로 적은 수치를 나타내었고, E2(t=-2.343, p=.032) E3(t=-4.531, p=.000)시점에서 힙 관절의 각도는 통계적으로 크게 나타났다.
Objective: This study was designed to compared the effect of general acupuncture on degenerative arthritis of knee joint with 8 constitution acupuncture by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Methods: VAS was used for this research, with the pain indicator of 10 and 0 which represents a pain of first visit and a status of no pain respectively. Two groups, consisting of 40 patients, was randomly allocated for this research. SPSS(Statistic Program for Social Science) 10.0 for window was used for a statistical analysis. Independent T-test and Mann Whitney U test was performed to evaluate the improvement of each group by the treatment number and to compare that of two groups. Results: As a result of the comparison analysis between two groups after 20th treatment, the improvement of subjective symptoms in 8 constitution acupuncture group was shown more effective than that in general acupuncture group, while, After 10th treatment, there was no significant difference between two groups in VAS. Conclusion: It is suggested that the effect of 8 constitution acupuncture should be significantly different from that of general acupuncture on degenerative arthritis of knee joint. Further study is needed to confirm the effectiveness of 8 constitution acupuncture.
In the early stage of sacroilitis, it is'difficult to detect sacroiliac(Sl) abnormalities by conventional plain X-ray even though there are characteristic symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis. 3 dimensional volume rendering from the CT image was performed to make an early de tection of the structural changes of Sl joint. 2 cases who had clinical impression of ankylosing spondylitis without sacroilitis in plane X-ray and 1 case of typical ankylosing spondylitis as well as 1 case of normal control were studied. The Sl Joints were separated and each joint surface of sacrum and ilium was independently reconstructed by a special 3D manipulation program. All 2 patiant who complained of inflammatory lower back pain with no abnormal findings in the plain X-ray showed structural changes in 3 dimensionally reconstructed surface Image of the Sl joint compared to the normal control. Authors tried several parameters, such as fourler analysis of each surface and the mean and variance of Sl joint gap. We couldn't tell the statistical significance because of the limited number of cases. However, the parameters showed difference according to the progression of disease.
Human body balances right and left leg centering around pelvis and spine. Therefore, imbalance of lower extremity means disequilibrium of the body. The difference of lower extremity length can cause a number of clinic symptoms including scoliosis, low back pain, sacroiliac pain, and sports injury. In this study, we tried to analyze low back pain and joint stiffness resulting from the difference of lower extremity length. The subjects were 80 male students who are 20-25 years old. The results of this study were as following: 1. Low back pain depending on the difference of lower extremity length One group which the difference of lower extremity length is above 12mm showed average different length as 18.0mm, the other group which one is below 12mm showed as 6.3mm. A group of above 12mm had more severe low back pain than a group of below 12mm. 2. Joint stiffness depending on the difference of lower extremity length A group of above 12mm had more severe joint stiffness than a group of below 12mm.

This paper highlights results of some experimental work that deals with strengthening of bolted shear joints in thin-walled ferrocement structure where steel wires, bent into U-shape are considered as simple inserts around the bolt hole. The parameters investigated include the number of layers of wire mesh, edge distance of bolt hole, size and location of the inserts. Test results have shown that for small edge distance, failure occurred either in cleavage or shearing mode, and the strength of the joint increased with an increase in the edge distance. This continued up to an upper limit set by either tension or bearing failure. The experimental study further revealed that for a given edge distance the strength of a joint can significantly be enhanced by using U-inserts. The equations developed for predicting joint strength in ferrocement composites can also be modified to include the effects of the inserts with a good level of accuracy.
In this paper, the effect of non-persistent joints was determined on the behavior of concrete specimens subjected to biaxial loading through numerical modeling using particle flow code in two dimensions (PFC2D). Firstly, a numerical model was calibrated by uniaxial, Brazilian and triaxial experimental results to ensure the conformity of the simulated numerical model's response. Secondly, sixteen rectangular models with dimension of 100 mm by 100 mm were developed. Each model contains two non-persistent joints with lengths of 40 mm and 20 mm, respectively. The angularity of the larger joint changes from $30^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$. In each configuration, the small joint angularity changes from $0^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$ in $30^{\circ}$ increments. All of the models were under confining stress of 1 MPa. By using of the biaxial test configuration, the failure process was visually observed. Discrete element simulations demonstrated that macro shear fractures in models are because of microscopic tensile breakage of a large number of bonded discs. The failure pattern in Rock Bridge is mostly affected by joint overlapping whereas the biaxial strength is closely related to the failure pattern.
Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture on microtraumatic injuries of the knee joint. Methods : Among the outpatients with knee joint pain who visited to Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, National Medical Center from February 2000 to September 2000, we selected 15 cases that showed normal finding in both X-ray and neurological examination, and that were categorized into microtraumatic injuries by the physical examination based on the Cyriax's orthopedic medicine. During acupuncture therapy, the patients were ordered to move involved side actively. The effect was assessed through questionnaires of CNRS(Cincinnati Knee Rating System). Results : We investigated 11 female and 4 male patients. The most common distribution of age was 30's(40%). The most commom duration of symtoms was from 3 to 5 months(40%). The most common microtraumatic injury was pes anserinus bursitis(33.3%), and followed by iliotibial band friction syndrome(20%), and patellar tendinitis(20%). In the CNRS, the mean number of before treatment was 60.6 and after was 66.5. 10 cases among the 15 patients were improved(66.6%). Conclusions : These results suggest that the acupuncture therapy combined with active movements of involved side was effective treatment modality on microtraumatic injuries of the knee joint.

Previous studies on joint optimization of computation offloading and service caching policies in Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) have often neglected the impact of dependency-aware subtasks, edge server resource constraints, and multiple users on policy formulation. To remedy this deficiency, this paper proposes a many-objective joint optimization dependency-aware task offloading and service caching model (MaJDTOSC). MaJDTOSC considers the impact of dependencies between subtasks on the joint optimization problem of task offloading and service caching in multi-user, resource-constrained MEC scenarios, and takes the task completion time, energy consumption, subtask hit rate, load variability, and storage resource utilization as optimization objectives. Meanwhile, in order to better solve MaJDTOSC, a many-objective evolutionary algorithm TSMSNSGAIII based on a three-stage mating selection strategy is proposed. Simulation results show that TSMSNSGAIII exhibits an excellent and stable performance in solving MaJDTOSC with different number of users setting and can converge faster. Therefore, it is believed that TSMSNSGAIII can provide appropriate sub-task offloading and service caching strategies in multi-user and resource-constrained MEC scenarios, which can greatly improve the system offloading efficiency and enhance the user experience.
