우리별 인공위성의 지상 촬영 장치에 쓰여진 렌즈의 MTF 측정 (MTM MEASUREMENT OF THE LENS ON THE KITSAT-1 EARTH IMAGING SYSTEM)

  • 한국과학기술원 인공위성 연구센터에서는 1992년 8월과 1993년 9월에 마이크로 위성인 우리별 1호와 2호를 발사, 운용중이다. 두 위성 모두에는 지표면을 촬영하기 위한 CCD 카메라가 실려있다. 이들 카메라에 쓰여진 렌즈(촛점거리: 50mm)를 평가하기 위해 MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) 측정을 하였다. 실험을 위해 표준과학연구소의 MTF 측정장치를 사용하였으며, f-number와 field angle을 변화시켜 가면서 측정하였다. 측정 결과로부터 f-number가 4.0 보다 작을때, 점광원으로부터 나온 빛이 CCD 칩의 한 화소(pixel) 안으로 들어 간다는 사실을 알 수 있었으며, field angle을 변화시켜가면서 tangential MTF와 sagital MTF를 측정한 결과, field angle이 증가함에 따라 MTF 값이 떨어짐을 알 수 있었다.

정밀농업을 위한 트랙터-작업기의 최적 경로계획 (Optimal Path Planning of a Tractor-implement for Precision Farming)

  • Path planning for field operation of agricultural machinery is an indispensible part for precision farming or autonomous field operation. In this study, two algorithms (I, II) of generating a time-based shortest operation path were suggested to plan an optimal operation of an agricultural tractor-implement in a rectangular shaped field. The algorithms were based on modification of a minimum spanning tree algorithm, and applied for tractor-implement operations. the generated path was consisted of round operation and returning operation sections. The number of round operation was determined from the condition that a tractor can turn smoothly at headlands. The performance of the algorithms was evaluated by the calculation number for path generation and the total path length generated. Their stability was affected by the number of returning operation, but the algorithm II was considered to be more stable. In addition, the performances of the developed algorithms were compared with those of the conventional field operations at selected field sizes and shapes. The results showed that the algorithms could reduce field operation time greatly. For a 100m$\times$40m field, the reduced path length was 78m. The study also included an user interface program for implementing the algorithms and generating GPS coordinates that could be used in GIS softwares for precision farming.

경계 배치법(Boundary Collocation Method)에 의한 근거리 음장 자료로부터 원거리 음장의 예측 ; 최적 측정점 개수의 결정 (Far-Field Sound Field Estimation from Near-Field Sound Field Data Using Boundary Collocation Method ; Decision of Optimum Points of Measurement)

  • 본 논문은 근거리 음장 측정 자료로부터 원거리 음장 예측을 위한 기술에 대한 것이다. 음원의 음장 분포 특성은 원거리에서 측정된 자료의 해석으로 이루어지는 것이 일반적 방법이나, 음향수조 또는 무향실과 같은 제한된 공간에서는 근거리 영역에서 측정이 이루어지는 경우가 발생한다. 따라서 근거리 영역에서의 측정으로부터 원거리 음장이 예측되어야 한다. 이 경우 음원을 둘러싼 근거리 음장의 측정점수는 원거리 음장 예측치의 정확도와 자료 처리의 계산량과 상관된다. 기존 연구 결과는 최적측정점수는 음원의 kL에 비례하고 음원의 기하학적 형태 또는 지향특성에 따라 kL의 의존성이 다르게 나타난다고 되어 있으나 정확한 기준이 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 최적측정지점수에 대한 기준을 유도하기 위해 Helmholtz 적분식과 Green 함수를 근간으로 한 원거리 음장 예측 기술인 경계배치법(Boundary Collocation Method)을 분석하여 최적측정점수는 kL이 증가함에 따라 0.54kL로 수렴한다는 결과를 얻었다. 기존의 연구 결과 보다 최적측정점수를 1/2 정도로 줄였다.

소리의 공간 제어를 위한 구형 다채널 스피커 어레이 설계 (Design of Multichannel Spherical Loudspeaker Array for the Spatial Sound Manipulation)

  • The objective of this paper is to design multichannel spherical loudspeaker array by considering various positioning methods such as Gaussian grid, Lebedev grid and packing method. For the spatial sound manipulation, which is to make desired sound field by controling multiple sound sources, the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral states that sound fields can be reproduced in terms of infinite control sources on the integral surface. But since we cannot control infinite number of sources for the implementation, we have to allocate finite number of sound sources which can approximately act as infinite number of sources. To manipulate sound field inside of a sphere (which is typical example of three dimensional array) by controlling sound sources on the surface, three methods of allocating sound sources, which are Gaussian grid, Lebedev grid and packing method, are reviewed. For each geometry, the performances of manipulation rendered by time-reversal operator and higher-order ambisonics are compared.

Gaussian process approach for dose mapping in radiation fields

  • In this work, a Gaussian Process (Kriging) approach is proposed to provide efficient dose mapping for complex radiation fields using limited number of responses. Given a few response measurements (or simulation data points), the proposed approach can help the analyst in completing a map of the radiation dose field with a 95% confidence interval, efficiently. Two case studies are used to validate the proposed approach. The First case study is based on experimental dose measurements to build the dose map in a radiation field induced by a D-D neutron generator. The second, is a simulation case study where the proposed approach is used to mimic Monte Carlo dose predictions in the radiation field using a limited number of MCNP simulations. Given the low computational cost of constructing Gaussian Process (GP) models, results indicate that the GP model can reasonably map the dose in the radiation field given a limited number of data measurements. Both case studies are performed on the nuclear engineering radiation laboratories at the University of Sharjah.

농가포장에서 재배양식별 앵미(잡초성 벼)의 발생정도 및 입치 (Weedy Rice Occurrence Rate and Position in Transplanted and Direct Seeded Farmer's Field)

  • 우리 나라 농가포장에 현재까지 잡초성 벼인 앵미가 잔존하게된 경로를 추정하고자 앵미 발생이 극심한 농가포장을 선정하여 전체 개체에 대한 앵미 발생비율, 단위면적당 앵미 개체수, 이앙재배와 직파재배 포장에서의 앵미 발생 위치 등을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 이앙재배 포장에서 앵미 발생율이 가장 높았던 것은 5.5%였다. 2. 직파재배 포장의 앵미 발생이 이앙재배 포장보다 많았다. 3. 이앙재배 포장에서는 앵미가 대부분 재배벼 주내에 혼입되어 있었으나, 골뿌림 직파재배 포장에서는 골 사이에 발생한 앵미 개체가 많았다. 4. 비장려품종 재배 포장에서의 앵미 발생이 장려품종 재배 포장보다 많았다. 5. 이앙재배에서 앵미는 대부분 재배벼 종자에 혼입되어 잔존하였고, 극히 일부는 자연탈립에 의하였으며, 직파재배에서는 자연탈립에 의한 앵미 발생이 종자혼입에 의한 발생보다 많았다.

Imaginary Bicyclic Biquadratic Number Fields with Class Number 5

  • An imaginary bicyclic biquadratic number field K is a field of the form ${\mathbb{Q}}({\sqrt{-m}},{\sqrt{-n}})$ where m and n are squarefree positive integers. The ideal class number hK of K is the order of the abelian group IK/PK, where IK and PK are the groups of fractional and principal fractional ideals in the ring of integers 𝒪K of K, respectively. This provides a measure on how far is 𝒪K from being a PID. We determine all imaginary bicyclic biquadratic number fields with class number 5. We show there are exactly 243 such fields.

  • Flow field and near-field noise of a centrifugal fan has been studied with an efrcient compressible method and STAR-CD. The flow field of the centrifugal fan is assumed two-dimensional. Most of the compressible studies has been done by inviscid solver because viscous simulation shows little difference. The near field noise is estimated in term s of sound pressure level in frequency domain transformed from the computed pressure fluctuations using FFT. The simulation has been done on various design elements such as impeller blade shapes, the number of blades and cut-off clearance. The comparison shows that the number of blades has a significant effect on near-field noise without losing aerodynamic performance.

Block Filtering과 QFT를 이용한 실시간 음장 효과구현 (Real-Tim Sound Field Effect Implementation Using Block Filtering and QFT)

  • It is almost impossible to generate the sound field effect in real time with the time-domain linear convolution because of its large multiplication operation requirement. To solve this, three methods are introduced to reduce the number of multiplication operations in this paper. Firstly, the time-domain linear convolution is replaced with the frequency-domain circular convolution. In other words, the linear convolution result can be derived from that of the circular convolution. This technique reduces the number of multiplication operations remarkably, Secondly, a subframe concept is introduced, i.e., one original frame is divided into several subframes. Then the FFT is executed for each subframe and, as a result, the number of multiplication operations can be reduced. Finally, the QFT is used in stead of the FFT. By combining all the above three methods into our final the SFE generation algorithm, the number of computations are reduced sufficiently and the real-time SFE generation becomes possible with a general PC.
