BOS법을 이용한 함산소 연료들의 충돌분무특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation of Impinged Spray Characteristics of Oxygenated fuels Using BOS Method)

  • This paper describes the effect of DME, biodiesel blended fuels on the macroscopic spray characteristics in a high pressure diesel injection system using Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) method. The BOS method for visualization of impingement evaporation sprays to analyze macroscopic spray properties and evolutionary processes. In this work, the blending ratio of DME in the blended fuel are 0, 50, 100% by weight ratio. In order to investigate the macroscopic impinged spray characteristics under the various injection parameters and blending ratio. In this work, a mini-sac type single-hole nozzle injector with nozzle hole was length 0.7 mm and diameter of 0.3 mm was used. According to the result, the spray area of the collision wall increased as the DME mixing ratio increased, and the evolutionary pattern showed a stepwise increase due to the collision effect of the wall. Also, results of impinged spray area were increased according to increasing injection pressure.

  • Modification of injector, oil ring tension reduction and oil pump rotor re-matching with optimization of relevant engine control parameters could drive fuel consumption reduction of HSDI diesel engine. A 5 holes injector was replaced with a 6 holes with smaller nozzle hole diameter and 1.5 k factor, and evaluated in a view of fuel economy and emission trade-offs. With introducing smaller nozzle hole diameter injector, PM(Particulate Matter) was drastically decreased for low engine load and low engine rpm. Modification of oil pump and oil ring was to reduce mechanical friction and be proved to better fuel economy. Optimization of engine operating conditions was a great help for the low fuel consumption. Influence of the engine operating parameters· including pilot quantity, pilot interval, air mass and main injection timing on fuel economy, smoke and NOx has been evaluated with 14 points extracted from NEDC(New European Driving Cycle) cycle. The fuel consumption was proved to $7\%$ improvement on an engine bench and $3.7\%$ with a vehicle.

Urea-SCR 단홀 Injector 노즐형상 변화에 따른 비정상유동특성의 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on Unsteady Flow Characteristics of Urea-SCR Single Hole Injector depend on Nozzle Shape Change)

  • In this paper, a study of Urea-SCR System for Dosing Injector for responding to enhanced environmental regulations has been conducted. There is a limit to the experimental approach due to the structural characteristics of the injector. In order to overcome this problem, The analysis was performed assuming unsteady turbulent flow through computational fluid analysis and the internal flow characteristics of the injector were analyzed. By changing the nozzle shape of the injector, the performance factors of the swirl injector by shape were selected and compared. The design parameters were modified by changing the diameter of the nozzle at a constant ratio compared to the base model. Swirl coefficient, outlet mass flow, and sac volume were selected as performance parameters of the injector. The Conv. model to which the taper was applied showed the dominance in mass flow rate, discharge coefficient and swirl because of the smooth fluid flow by shape. Swirl coefficient, outlet mass flow, and sac volume were selected as performance parameters of the injector. As a result of the comparison coefficient derivation with those performance parameters for comparing the performance of the model-specific injector, the Conv-140 model with the nozzle diameter expanded by 140% showed the best value of the comparison coefficient.

이중 콘형 부분 예혼합 GT 노즐의 연료 분사구 형상 변화에 대한 연소특성 (Combustion Characteristics of a Double-cone Partial Premixed Nozzle with Various Fuel hole Patterns)

  • 산업용 혹은 발전용 가스터빈에 사용되는 이중 콘형 예혼합 연소기의 연소 특성을 이해하기 위하여 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 노즐의 여러 연료 분사 방식에 대하여 NOx와 CO의 배출 특성, 화염 안정성 및 연소실 온도 분포에 대한 연소특성을 비교하였다. 주 연구 결과로는 연료홀 개수가 동일하고 연료 홀 직경이 감소하는 경우와 연료 홀면적이 동일하고 연료 홀 수가 감소되는 경우 연료의 연소용 공기층 침투가 커지기 때문에 NOx의 배출은 감소하지만 화염 안정성은 감소하게 된다. 그리고 동일 연료 홀 면적을 이용하는 분사방식에 있어서 연료 홀을 교차 변경하는 경우 연료의 평균 침투거리 증가로 NOx의 배출이 감소되며 연료 침투거리가 적은 연료가 화염을 안정화시키는 역할을 한다.

Design of the Main Nozzle with Different Acceleration Tube and Diameter in an Air-Jet Loom

  • The air-jet loom represents a major step in the development of shutterless weaving due to its ability to weave a wide range of yarns at high speeds. The air-jet weaving involves inserting a pre-measured length of yarn through the wraps, which is shed by means of compressed air. The analysis of air flow characteristic of the main nozzle and acceleration tube is required for improving the loom performance. In this paper, we examined the effects of the main nozzle with different acceleration tubes as well as diameters. Also, we compared the performance of a straight-type tube with a Laval-type tube and the effect of installing a suction hole on the acceleration tube.

  • This paper is studied on the Junctiion of the large tank and the cylinderical outlet such as a pressure vessel attached a pipe or nozzle theoretically. It is assumed that the diameter of tank is much larger than that of the nozzle, so it can be approximated that nozzle is attached to plate. The analysis procedure can be viewed as the solution of interdependent subproblems: (a) the stress analysis of the cylinderical shell(nozzle), (b) the plane-stress analysis of the plate membrane problem, and (c) the analysis of the transverse bending deformation in the plate. On the procedure of (a), the Flugge formula are used, and the variables are the length and the ratio of the thickness to the radius of cylinderical shell. The solutions of thess problems are interrelated in the total solution through continuity and equilibrium conditions at the interface of middle planes of the plate and cylinderical shell.

직접분사식 디이젤의$NO_x$에 관하여 (On the $NO_x$ in Direct Injection diesel engine)

  • To investigate the relation of $NO_x$ emission and consumption rate in a direct injection diesel engine with a multihole nozzle under same fuel consumption and rpm, a naphthyl ethylenediaming method on NO, emission and Tektronix oscilloscop on the indicator diagrams have been used. Comparisons of the $NO_x$ emission and fuel consumption rate made on various conditions have led to the fllowing results. 1. The higher the injection pressure in the later injection time the lower $NO_x$ emission and the fuel consumption rate have been attained. 2. By the change of nozzle hole diameter under the same injection pressure, the $NO_x$ emission was much more lowered in the small diameter than large one, but fuel consumption rate was in inverse proption to the $NO_x$ emission. 3. The effect of injection spray angle, $\frac{1_n}{d_n}$ on $NO_x$ emission, fuel consumption rate under same injection time and injection pressure was neglectable.

오리피스 형상에 따른 단공노즐 액체제트의 유동특성 (Effect of Orifice Geometry on Flow Characteristics of Liquid Jet from Single Hole Nozzle)

  • 본 연구에서는 원형 노즐과 타원형 노즐을 이용하여 공동현상과 수력튀김 현상이 유동특성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 오리피스 길이 대 직경비(L/d)와 타원형 노즐의 종횡비(a/b)가 서로 다른 분사기들을 제작하여 분무실험을 수행하였다. 분사압력 증가에 따라 공동현상이 발생할 경우 유량계수가 서서히 감소하였으나 수력튀김 영역에서는 유량계수가 급격히 떨어진 후 일정한 값을 유지함을 확인하였다. 하지만 타원형 노즐에서 장축지름(a)과 단축지름(b) 대비 오리피스 길이의 비인 L/b가 8 이상, L/a가 8 이하인 경우, 유량계수 및 액체제트 형상은 기존의 원형 노즐과는 상당히 다른 결과를 나타내었다. 정상유동 상태인 경우 타원형 노즐에서 분사된 액주는 원형 노즐과는 달리 하류로 가면서 장축에서는 분무각이 감소하였으며 단축에서는 분무각이 커지는 모습을 보였다.

  • A fuel injection system has an important role in the performance and emission gas in a diesel engine. In this paper, an experimental study has been performed to verify the effect of the performance and the emission gas with the factors such as diameters of an injection nozzle hole, diameters of an injection pipe, and injection timing in the fuel injection system. We have obtained the results that the fuel consumption ratio is reduced and NOx concentration is increased as the smaller diameter of injection nozz1e hole, the smaller diameter of injection pipe, and more advanced injection timing. They show that optimizing the factors of fuel injection system is significant to enhance the performance of the engine system and consumption ratio of fuel, smoke, and NOx.
