Different injection angle에 따른 자동차 전면 유리 제상성능 연구 (The study of defrosting performance on automobile Windshield through different injection angle)

  • The objective of this paper is to find out the most effective injection angle for the purpose of deicing through SC/Tetra, a commonly used CFD software. Nowadays, vehicles are developed giving priority to an improved interior which emphasizes a pleasant environment and thermal comfort without decreasing the basic performance. Clear visibility is one of the most important phenomenon. The primary factors which affect the efficiency of deicing are 3D geometry of Defrost Nozzle, the inlet velocity and temperature of the flow and the injection angle. However in this paper, all these parameters are optimized by changing the injection angle. A wide range of injection angle from 5 degree to 50 degree have been considered for analysis. A very good defrosting performance has been achieved with 45 degree injection angle which can satisfy the condition of NHTSA.

세라믹 화이버 버너의 CO 배출과 복사강도 특성 (Carbon Monoxide Emission and Radiation Properties in Ceramic Fiber Radiant Burner)

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of mixing quality, inlet pressure, nozzle diameter on CO emission and radiation characteristics in porous ceramic fiber radiant burners. Observations of combustion characteristics occurring inside the burner system which was insulated fiber mat, were investigated by measuring temperature, CO emission and radiation characteristics. Combustion was achieved at the firing rate of $88{\sim}99$ kcal/hr, inlet pressure of $100{\sim}250$mm$H_2O$. CO emissions were found to be strongly dependent on the operating conditions. There was a tendency that CO concentration increased as the firing rate increases. The reason for rise of CO concentration is that it becomes the relatively rich condition. The fiber burner exhibit significant both spectral intensity peaks in the bands at 2.5${\mu}m$ and 4.0${\mu}m$ relatively, There is a small difference in the variable mixing tube. However spectral intensity increased with the firing rate.

  • 일반적으로 다단 축류 터빈은 높은 압력비에서 유동 가속으로 인하여 특정 단에서 초킹 현상이 발생하게 된다. 초킹의 경우 유량 변화 없이 압력비만 증가하게 되며, 이러한 특성을 입구 유량 경계조건을 사용하는 일반적인 평균반경해석법을 이용하여 예측하는데 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 초킹 영역에서의 성능을 예측하는 알고리즘을 재안하였다. 초킹 지점 이후에는 초킹이 발생하는 노즐 혹은 로터 출구 유동이 팽창하는 특성을 반영하여 고정된 유량 조건에서 압력비가 변할 수 있도록 알고리즘을 구성하였다. 이러한 결과를 다단 축류 터빈 전산해석 결과 및 실험결과와 비교하여 신뢰성을 확인하였다.

KALIMER 고온풀 자유액면 거동 해석 (Analysis of free surface motions in the hoot Pool of KALIMER)

  • An analytic methodology was developed for free surface motions between liquid metal coolant and cover gas in order to calculate the phenomena of gas entrainment in hot pool surface through IHX EMP and reactor core. The methodology was setup by applying the first order VOF convection model to CFX4 general purpose fluid dynamics analysis code. The methodology was validated by applying it to an experimental apparatus designed for free surface motions of KALIMER reactor. The distributions of free surface calculated by the present methodology were almost coincident with the experimental data. The developed methodology was applied to the KALIMER reactor of full power operating condition. The shapes of the free surface were nearly uniform. From the results, it was found that the altitude of the free surface from the IHX inlet nozzle of KALIMER reactor is high enough not to affect to free surface motions of generating gas bubbles from the turbulent shear flows such as hydraulic jump and water falls.

  • Transition sequence of rocket to ramjet was simulated numerically for a two-dimensional axisymmetric can-type ramjet engine. Multi-species preconditioned Navier-Stokes equations with $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model and finite-rate chemistry model was employed. To calculate transition sequence, initial flow-field conditions for inlet diffuser with closed port-cover was computed first, and then that result was applied as initial conditions after port-cover opened. Terminal shock was developed as a result of increased pressure in a combustor due to combustion and ramjet operated at supercritical condition. For a smaller nozzle throat area, buzz instability was occurred. Strong pressure oscillations were observed as a result of forward and backward movement of terminal shock and those oscillations were not damped out.

이차목을 갖는 초음속 이젝터 작동압력에 대한 연구 (Study of Starting Pressure of a Supersonic Ejector with a Second-Throat)

  • Starting pressure of a supersonic ejector with a second-throat was investigated. In case of mixing chamber length longer than a critical length, starting pressure is in proportion to length of the mixing chamber. In this study, we assumed that the ejector starts when the primary supersonic flow reaches inlet of the second-throat and the distance of the supersonic flow traveling can be expressed by multiplying an empirical factor to the first diamond shock length of overexpanded flow. To calculate the overexpanded supersonic flow, a mixing model was employed to compute secondary flow pressure and the result was applied to back pressure condition of overexpanded flow calculation. In the result, for three cases of primary nozzle area ratio, we could get accurate model of predicting the starting pressure by selecting a suitable empirical factors around 3.

초고속 비행체용 소모성 터빈엔진 사전연구 (Prestudy on Expendable Turbine Engine for High-Speed Vehicle)

  • 초고속 비행체에 적용 가능한 소모성 터빈엔진 개발을 위한 사전연구를 수행하였다. 엔진 요구도 결정을 위한 가상 운용임무형상을 선정한 후, 유사급 엔진과 참고문헌 등을 통해 확보된 설계변수 값을 활용하여 설계점 해석을 수행하였는데, 해면고도, 마하수 1.2 조건에서 터빈입구온도 3,600 R에 대한 설계점 계산결과, 비추력 2,599.4 ft/s, 비연료소모율 1.483 lb/(lb*h)이 예측되었다. 두 가지 임무형상에 대한 엔진 성능해석결과로부터 엔진 최대 순추력을 결정하는 설계변수는 천음속 및 낮은 초음속영역에서는 터빈입구온도, 높은 초음속 영역에서는 압축기 출구온도임을 확인하였다. 이밖에도 단순, 저가, 경량의 터빈엔진형상으로 축류형 다단압축기와 직류형 연소기, 1단 축류터빈, 고정 수축팽창 노즐이 적용된 단순터보제트엔진을 제시하였다.

다구찌 방법을 이용한 시로코 홴의 최적설계에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Optimum Design of Sirocco Fan by Using Taguchi Method)

  • This paper is studied to find the optimum condition of double-inlet Sirocco fan installed in an indoor PAC for low noise operation by the Taguchi method. The goal of this study is to obtain the best combination of each control factor which results in a desired flowrate of Sirocco fan with minimum variability. In this study, the parameter design of the Taguchi method is adopted for robust design by the dynamic characteristic analysis using orthogonal arrays and S/N ratios. The flowrate measurements are conducted by using a multiple-nozzle-type fan tester according to the orthogonal array L9($3^4$). The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (i) The optimum condition of control factor is a set of where A is an inner to outer diameter ratio($D_1/D_2$), B is a width to outer diameter ratio($L/D_2$), C is a blade attachment angle(${\theta}$) and D is a number of blade(Z), (ii) The flowrate under the optimum condition satisfies the equation $y=0.0384{\cdot}M$ where M is a signal factor, namely number of revolution. The flowrate performance improves about 7.3% more largely as compared with the current condition, which results in about 35RPM reduction of number of revolution for the target flowrate $18.5m^3/min$, and (iii) The sensitivity analysis shows that the major factors in contribution to flowrate performance are A, B, and D ; the percentage contributions of each control factor are 44.01%(Z), 26.77%($D_1/D_2$) and 20.42%($L/D_2$).

분기관파단이 노심지지배럴의 쉘응답에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Tributary Pipe Breaks on the Core Support Barrel Shell Responses)

  • 본 논문은 원자력발전소의 배관설계에 파단전 누설(leak-before-break : LBB) 개념이 적용됨에 따라 새롭게 해석대상이 된 분기관파단에 의한 노심지지배럴의 쉘응답을 계산한 것이다. 앞으로 직경 10인치 이상의 고에너지 배관에 대해 LBB 개념이 적용될 것으로 예상되는 바, 이 경우 LBB 적용대상에서 제외되는 유일한 1차측 배관인 3인치 가압기 분무관의 파단을 가정하였고 이때 노심 지지배럴에 가해지는 쉘응답을 구하였다. 이들 응답을 직경 10인치 이상인 배관파단시의 응답과 비교한 결과 앞으로 직경 10인치 이상의 배관에 대해 LBB 개념이 적용될 경우 배관파단에 대한 노심지지배럴의 쉘응답은 무시할 수 있음을 보였다.
