  • This paper is on a stereo acoustic echo canceller with the blind signal separation for post processing. The convergence speed of the stereo acoustic echo canceller is deteriorated due to mixing two residual signals which are update signals of each echo canceller. To solve this problem, we are to use the blind signal separation(BSS) method separating the mixed signals after the echo cancellers. The blind signal separation method can extracts the source signals by means of the iterative computations with two input signals. We had verified performances of the proposed acoustic echo canceller for stereo through simulations. The results of simulations show that the acoustic echo canceller for stereo using this algorithm operates stably without divergence in the normal state. And, when the speech signals were inputted, this echo canceller achieved about 2dB higher ERLE with the BSS post processing method than without this method. This stereo echo canceller showed the best performance in the case of inputting the real voice signal.

But this echo canceller didn't get good performances in the case of inputting the white noises as stereo signals.

  • Normal phase or reversed phase liquid chromatographic separation of some structural isomers of functionalized heterocyclic compounds has been carried out by using several different columns and various mobile phases. The optimal experimental conditions for separation of structural isomers were found on a ternary solvent system including alcohol as a modifier. This polar modifier is preferentially adsorbed onto strong adsorption site, leaving a more uniform population of weaker site that then serve to retain the sample. This 'deactivation' of the adsorbent leads to a number of improvements in subsequent separations. The optimal mobile phase system of separation were found on normal phase on structural isomers. Retention mechanism of normal phase system was also studied depending on adsorption strength between solute and stationary phase of column. However, retention factors of reversed phase system were found on hydrophobic interaction with solvophobic effect.

  • Cheese consumption has been gradually increased in China. However, both the manufacturing process of cheese and the utilization of its main by-product were not well developed. Based on the sensory evaluation, Box-Behnken Design (BBD) was performed in the present study to optimize the cheese processing, which was proved more suitable for Chinese. The optimal parameters were: rennet 0.052 g/L, start culture 0.025 g/L and $CaCl_2$ 0.1 g/L. The composition analysis of fresh bovine milk and whey showed that whey contained most of the soluble nutrients of milk, which indicated that whey was a potential resource of cyclic adenosine-3', 5'-monophosphate (cAMP). Thus, the cAMP was isolated from whey, the results of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis showed that the macroporous adsorption resins (MAR) D290 could increase the concentration of cAMP from $0.058{\mu}mol/mL$ to $0.095{\mu}mol/mL$. We firstly purified the cAMP from the whey, which could become a new source of cAMP.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel tracking method using target separation and detection that are based on discriminative correlation filter (DCF), which is studied a lot recently. 'Retainability' is one of the most important factor of tracking. There are some factors making retainability of tracking worse. Especially, fast movement and occlusion of a target frequently occur in image data, and when it happens, it would make target lost. As a result, the tracking cannot be retained. For maintaining a robust tracking, in this paper, separation of a target is used so that normal tracking is maintained even though some part of a target is occluded. The detection algorithm is executed and find new location of the target when the target gets out of tracking range due to occlusion of whole part of a target or fast movement speed of a target. A variety of experiments with various image data sets are conducted. The algorithm proposed in this paper showed better performance than other conventional algorithms when fast movement and occlusion of a target occur.

  • A shock-wave in a supersonic flow can be theoretically determined by a given pressure ratio at upstream and downstream flowfields, and then the obtained shock-wave is stable in its position. Under the practical situation in which the shock-wave interacts with the boundary layer along a solid wall, it cannot, however, be stable even for the given pressure ratio being independent of time and oscillates around a time-mean position. In the present study, oscillations of a weak normal shock-wave in a supersonic diffuser were measured by a Line Image Sensor(LIS), and they were compared with the data of the wall pressure fluctuations at the foot of the shock-wave interacting with the wall boundary layer. LIS was incorporated into a conventional schlieren optical system and its signal, instantaneous displacement of the interacting shock-wave, was analyzed by a statistical method. The results show that the displacement of an oscillating shock-wave increase with the upstream Mach number and the dominant frequency components of the oscillating shock-wave are below 200 Hz. Measurements indicated that shock-wave oscillations may not entirely be caused by the boundary layer separation. The statistical properties of oscillations appeared, however, to be significantly affected by shock-induced separation of turbulent boundary layer.

  • Quantitative Structure-Resolution Relationship (QSRR) using the Comparative Molecular Field Analysis (CoMFA) software was applied to predict the chromatographic behaviors of chiral drugs with an amine moiety on the chiral cellobiohydrolase (CBH) columns. As a result of the Quantitative CoMFA-Resolution Relationship study, using the partial least square method, prediction of the behavior of drugs with amine moiety upon chiral separation became possible from their three dimensional molecular structures. When a mixed mobile phase of 10 mM aqueous phosphate buffer (pH 7.0) - isopropanol (95 : 5) was employed, the best Quantitative CoMFA-Resolution Relationship, derived from the study, provided a cross-validated $q^2$ = 0.933, a normal $r^2$ = 0.995, while the best Quantitative CoMFA-Separation Factor Relationship, also derived from the study, yielded a cross-validated $q^2$ = 0.939, a normal $r^2$ = 0.991. When all of these results are considered, this QSRR-CoMFA analysis appears to be a very useful tool for the preliminary prediction on the chromatographic behaviors of drugs with an amine moiety inside chiral CBH columns.

  • Soybean straw (SS)-based activated carbon was employed as a precursor to prepare carbon molecular sieves (CMSs) via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique using methane as carbon source. Prior to the CVD process, SS was activated by 0.5 wt% $ZnCl_2$, followed by a carbonization at $500^{\circ}C$ for 1 h in $N_2$ atmosphere. $N_2$ (77 K) adsorption-desorption and $CO_2$ (273 K) adsorption tests were carried out to analyze the pore structure of the prepared CMSs. The results show that increasing the deposition temperature, time or methane flow rate leads the decrease in $N_2$ adsorption capacity, micropore volume and average pore diameter of CMSs. The adsorption selectivity coefficient of $CO_2/CH_4$ achieves as high as 20.8 over CMSs obtained under the methane flow rate of $30mL\;min^{-1}$ at $800^{\circ}C$ for 70 min. The study demonstrates the prepared CMSs are a candidate adsorbent for $CO_2/CH_4$ separation.

  • The present paper consists of two parts. Since the recent paper [4] proved that an Alexandroff $T_0$-space is a semi-$T_{\frac{1}{2}}$-space, the first part studies semi-open and semi-closed structures of the Khalimsky nD space. The second one focuses on the study of a relation between the LS-property of ($SC^{n_1,l_1}_{k_1}{\times}SC^{n_2,l_2}_{k_2}$, k) relative to the simple closed $k_i$-curves $SC^{n_i,l_i}_{k_i}$, $i{\in}\{1,2\}$ and its normal k-adjacency. In addition, the present paper points out that the main theorems of Boxer and Karaca's paper [3] such as Theorems 4.4 and 4.7 of [3] cannot be new assertions. Indeed, instead they should be attributed to Theorems 4.3 and 4.5, and Example 4.6 of [10].

  • The paper is devoted to generalizations of continuity of set-valued mappings and some properties of hypertopologies on the collection of some subsets of a topological space. It is also dedicated to continuous selection theorems without relatively higher separation axioms. More precisely, we give characterizations of $\lambda$-collectionwise normality using continuous functions as in Michael's papers.
