The design of hydraulic & control system has been developed for the disc spinning machine. The hydraulic system has been designed in the overall system including the vertical & horizontal slide fur spinning works which are controlled by hydraulic servo valves in right & left side, and the clamping slide for holding & pressing blank material in center during spinning process. Based on the design concept of this hydraulic system, model test experiments for hydraulic servo control system is tested to conform confidence and applying possibility. The control system is introduced with the fuzzy-sliding mode controller for the hydraulic force control reacting force as a disturbance, because a fuzzy controller does not require an accurate mathematical model for the generation of nonlinear factors in the actual nonlinear plant with unknown disturbances and a sliding controller has the robustness & stability in mathematical control algorithm. We conform that the fuzzy-sliding mode controller has a good performance in force control for the plant with a strong disturbance. Also, we observe that a steady state error of the fuzzy-sliding mode controller can be reduced better than those of an another controllers.
In this study, digital simulation with nonlinear modeling is carried out to analyse the performance of a hydraulic servomotor system developed for the position control of a large inertia. Nonlinear element, such as nonlinear pressure flow relationships of servovalve, valve spool limits, nonlinear friction, and backlash and resilience of gear system are included in the simulation along with the dynamic characteristics of variable delivery pump compensation mechanism. Simulation results are compared with experimental results for both step and sinusoidal inputs. Independent of input magnitude, both results are in good agreement with minor differences in detail.
High-speed/high-accuracy control of robot manipulator becomes more and more stringent because of the external disturbance and nonlinear characteristics. To meet this ends, lots of control strategies were proposed in the past such as the computed torque control, the nonlinear decoupled feedback control, and adaptive control. These control methods need computations of the inverse dynamics and require much computational effort. Recently, a disturbance observer with unmodeled robot dynamics and simple algorithms to motion control have been widely studied. This paper proposes a motor control strategy based on the disturbance observer which estimate the disturbance of each joint from input-output relationship of the actuator and eliminate the estimated disturbance including the torque due to modeling errors, coupling force, nonlinear friction, and so on. To apply the disturbance observer to closedloop system like velocity servo pack, the modified control structure was constructed and shown that it is equivalent to a disturbance observer in open-loop system. Finally, using the proposed approach, simulation and experiments were carried out for a two-degree-of-freedom SCARA type direct drive robot, and show some results to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
Because the wheel of V-belt continuously variable transmission (CVT) system driven by permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has much unknown nonlinear and time-varying characteristics, the better control performance design for the linear control design is a time consuming job. In order to overcome difficulties for design of the linear controllers, a hybrid recurrent Chebyshev neural network (NN) control system is proposed to control for a PMSM servo-driven V-belt CVT system under the occurrence of the lumped nonlinear load disturbances. The hybrid recurrent Chebyshev NN control system consists of an inspector control, a recurrent Chebyshev NN control with adaptive law and a recouped control. Moreover, the online parameters tuning methodology of adaptive law in the recurrent Chebyshev NN can be derived according to the Lyapunov stability theorem and the gradient descent method. Furthermore, the optimal learning rate of the parameters based on discrete-type Lyapunov function is derived to achieve fast convergence. The recurrent Chebyshev NN with fast convergence has the online learning ability to respond to the system's nonlinear and time-varying behaviors. Finally, to show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, comparative studies are demonstrated by experimental results.

In this study, we developed an automatic veneer sorting system controlled by nonlinear friction and nonlinear stiffness. With these nonlinear characteristics, it was difficult to analysis and to control the system in the fast. However it is necessary to consider nonlinear characteristics to satisfy accurate and rapid control demand in these days. We used not only nonlinear friction but also nonlinear stiffness and combined both to control the system. An experimental device was designed with 4 AC servo-motors and 2 Sensors. Through a series of experiment, we found nonlinear friction characteristics among roller versus veneer and veneer versus veneer and nonlinear stiffness characteristics with stacked veneers. Finally, we showed that the proposed control algorithm was very effective for veneer sorting system with nonlinear friction and stiffness.

The unbalanced heavy-loaded elevation-driving system is composed of link-mechanism, hydraulic cylinder and compensator for the static unbalanced moment of the load. Control and compensation of elevation-driving system is very difficult because these mechanisms imply highly nonlinear properties due to hydraulic fluid characteristics and mechanical rotation of link-mechanism. In this study, through the analysis of the link-mechanism, the optimal design of the link-mechanism is suggested. Also to estimate the control performance of the unbalanced, heavy-loaded servo-controlled system, modeling and simulation of nonlinear system are carried out. To prove the validity of performance estimation program, simulation results are compared with the experimental results. Both results are similar, therefore this program will be helpful to study the improvement of the system control performance.
This paper presents a nonlinear controller design for optical disk drive systems to improve anti-shock performance. The nonlinear anti-shock controller is added parallel to the original linear servo control loop. In the previous work, dead-zone nonlinear element is used for nonlinear controller and PID control method is used for linear controller. Although this strategy improves anti-shock performance, it has a narrow stability bound. In this paper, we propose dead-zone with saturation nonlinear element for the nonlinear controller. Since this nonlinear element improves stability margin, we can use higher gain of dead-zone than the controller with dead-zone only. In the linear controller design, we show that lead-lag control has improved stability margin over PID control. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method can get better performance to the external shock than previously proposed method.
This paper studies on the design of an ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic optimal control) looper control system for hot strip mills. The looper which is placed between each stand plays an important role in controlling strip width by regulating strip tension variation generated from the velocity difference of main work rolls. The mathematical model for looper is firstly obtained by Taylor's linearization of nonlinear differential equations, where it is given as a linear and time invariant state-space equation. Secondly, a looper servo controller is designed by ILQ control algorithm, which is an inverse problem of LQ(Linear Quadratic optimal control) control. By tunning control gain arbitration parameters and time constants, it is shown that the ILQ looper servo controller has the performance that makes well to follow desired trajectories of both strip tension and looper angle.
In order to reduce the negative effects of dynamic coupling among vehicle subsystems and improve the handling performance of vehicle under severe driving conditions, a vehicle chassis control integration approach based on a main-loop and servo-loop structure is proposed. In the main-loop, in order to achieve satisfactory longitudinal, lateral and yaw response, a sliding mode controller is used to calculate the desired longitudinal, lateral forces and yaw moment of the vehicle; and in the servo-loop, a nonlinear optimizing method is adopted to compute the optimal control inputs, i.e. wheel control torques and active steering angles, and thus distributes the forces and moment to four tire/road contact patches. Simulation results indicate that significant improvement in vehicle handling and stability can be expected from the proposed chassis control integration.
In this study, underdeveloping heavy-load driving servo control system, which are composed of controller, electro-hydraulic servo-valve, hydraulic motor, reduction gear box, turret slew bearing and turret structure, are investigated to simplify the control system. To estimate the effect of each component, modeling and simulation of linear and nonlinear system are carried out. In the first stage, to prove the reliability of performance estimation program, simulation results are compared with experimental results. In the second stage, the effect of each component of control system is evaluated and then a simplified control system is suggested.
