백화점 이용고객의 명품브랜드 선호도 유형에 따른 구매행태 분석 (An Analysis of Purchase Behaviors of Department Store Users based on Types of Preference for Luxury Brands)

  • Purpose - With the increase in fervor to purchase luxury brands, new social problems have arisen, such as excessive preoccupation with luxury brands and high preference for forged luxury goods. Therefore, the issues related to luxury brands, termed "Luxury Syndrome," have emerged as an area of great interest for researchers and practitioners. However, previous studies neglect to categorize this preference for luxury brands. Therefore, this study aims to identify the different purchasing behaviors of consumers using the types of luxury brands preferences as parameters. Research design, data, and methodology - This study arranges a causal relationship model assuming that purchase behaviors positively (+) affect typified preference for luxury brands and purchase intentions. We administered a questionnaire survey to the purchasers who bought luxury brands from department stores to secure additional data necessary to verify the hypotheses in this study. We then processed the data using SPSS 19.0. We further analyzed the basic data using frequency and descriptive statistical analysis, and verified the measurement tools through feasibility and reliability analyses. Moreover, this study uses multiple regression analysis to verify the hypotheses. Further, this study tests the path effect between luxury brand purchase attitude and purchase behavior, with non-intrinsic preference and intrinsic preference as the mediating variables. Results - Based on the results, the impact of tendencies of conspicuous consumption and self-monitoring on non-intrinsic preference was significantly positive (+), while the impact of tendencies of pursuit of a reference group, conspicuous consumption, and self-monitoring on intrinsic preference and purchase intentions was significantly positive (+). Further, non-intrinsic and intrinsic preferences positively (+) influence purchase intentions and the impact of non-intrinsic preference took an absolute portion. However, the tendency of dependence on brands negatively (-) impacts purchase intentions. The results showed that self-monitoring and conspicuous consumption tendencies have greater effect on purchase intention, which is mediated by non-intrinsic preference. In contrast, reference group following tendency has a greater effect on purchase intention, which is mediated by intrinsic preference. Conclusions - Based on the results, the study verifies that the consumption of luxury brands in Korea has not yet entered the settling period. The tendency for conspicuous consumption and the tendency for pursuit of the reference group were relatively important aspects for the consumers who prefer luxury brands non-intrinsically and intrinsically, respectively. Especially, it was found that the purchase intentions for forged brands originate from the tendency to depend on brands. Based on these findings, this study suggests the measures to develop and mature the luxury brands market, and reinforce marketing performance at the three levels, that is, government, distributors, and manufacturers. The luxury brands manufacturers should devote themselves to the production and design of products to catch the attention of mature consumers of luxury brands. The luxury brands distributors should then raise the level of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for opinion leaders. Finally, the Government should prepare effective policies for the development of luxury brands and provide a variety of economic support.

명품브랜드 선호도 유형에 따른 위조브랜드 품질과 구매의도 간의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation between Forged Brand Quality and Purchase Intentions based on Types of Preference of Luxury Brands)

  • Purpose: As there are more cases of forged brands, change of awareness is urgently required at the governmental, corporate and consumer levels. Therefore, this study aims to positively analyze the correlation between forged brand quality and purchase intentions perceived by consumers based on types of preference of luxury brands. Methods: In order to achieve the above purpose, this study derived a model of causal relationships among the forged brand quality, preference of typified luxury brands, and purchase intentions. SPSS 20.0 was applied for data processing. Frequency analysis ad descriptive statistical analysis were conducted for basic data and measurement tools were verified through feasibility and reliability analyses. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to verify the hypotheses. Results: Based on the results, only utilitarian quality positively (+) affected non-intrinsic preference while its impact on intrinsic preference was negative (-). On the other hand, hedonic quality was significantly positive (+) but the impact was not significant. Both utilitarian and hedonic qualities had significantly positive (+) impacts on the intentions to purchase forged brands with the impact of hedonic quality relatively higher. Conclusion: These results clarified that the overall consumption of Korean consumers had not entered its maturity, yet. Also, Korean consumers regard forged brands as alternatives to luxury brands mostly because of hedonic quality. As hedonic quality is added, Korean consumers' purchase intentions became higher. Based on these results, this study suggested the measures to be taken for the country to develop into an advanced country in the luxury market which is becoming more global and overcome the barrier of its old trend in imitation at the four levels of manufacturers, distributors, government, and consumers.

Bt 양배추가 복숭아혹진딧물의 발육과 기주선택에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bt Cabbage (Brassica oleracea) on the Host Preference and Performance of the Green Peach Aphid, Myzus persicae Sulzer (Hemiptera: Aphididae))

  • 해충저항성 유전자변형 작물은 대상 해충에 대한 방제 효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 효과적인 수단이 될 수 있지만, 생태계 내의 다른 비표적 생물에 부정적인 영향을 줄 가능성 또한 있기 때문에 상업적인 재배에 앞서 이에 대한 충분한 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 배추좀나방내성 유전자변형 Bt (Cry1Ac1)양배추가 비표적 곤충인 복숭아혹진딧물에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 기초적인 실험으로서 기주선택실험 및 성장실험을 실시하였다. 기주선택실험에서, 두 개체씩의 Bt 양배추와 모본 양배추에 각각 10마리의 유시 성충(alate virginoparae)을 접종하고, 사흘간 생식(reproduction) 기회를 제공한 후 생산한 약충의 마리수를 측정한 결과, Bt 양배추와 모본 양배추에 낳은 약충의 수가 각각 $21.9{\pm}1.8$$22.5{\pm}2.2$로 비슷하였다. 성장실험에서, 갓 태어난 무시 약충(apterous virginoparae)을 Bt 양배추 및 모본 양배추를 기주로 하여 키웠을 때, 성충이 될 때까지 걸린 시간은 Bt 양배추와 모본 양배추에서 각각 $5.8{\pm}0.2$, $5.9{\pm}0.1$ 일(day)로 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었고, 개체군 생장률(rm) 또한 $0.7{\pm}0.1$, $0.8{\pm}0.1$로 유사하였다. 이상의 결과들로 볼때 Bt 양배추가 복숭아혹진딧물에 미치는 영향이 없거나 미미함을 알 수 있으나, 다양한 관점에서의 보완 연구가 더 필요하다.

착색단고추 품종에 따른 복숭아혹진딧물의 발육특성 및 섭식행동 (Developmental Characteristics and Feeding Behavior of Green Peach Aphid (Myzus persicae) on Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum) Cultivars)

  • 우리나라에서 재배되고 있는 착색단고추에 주로 피해를 주는 복숭아혹진딧물과 국내 전남지 역의 착색단고추 수출농가에서 많이 재배되고 있는 품종중 15품종을 선발하여 각각의 EPG 패턴과 섭식행동간의 관계를 알아보고 생명표작성 조사를 통한 생태학적 연구를 통해 품종간 비교연구를 수행하였다. 복숭아혹진딧물의 실질적인 섭식행동패턴인 체관부 섭식패턴과 구침을 빼고 있는 패턴의 시간과 빈도를 조사한 결과, Ferrari, Jinju, Debla, Rapido품종에서 체관부 섭식시간은 길고 구침을 빼고 있는 시간은 짧게 기록되었다. 반면에 Orobell, Thialf품종에서의 체관부 섭식시간은 상대적으로 짧았으며 구침을 빼고 있는 시간은 높게 나타났다. 수명, 생식기간 및 산자수, 내적자연증가율을 확인하여 품종간 비교한 결과에서도, Ferrari, Debla, Orange glory Jinju품종에서 높게 나타났으며, Purple, GreenAce, Orobell, Thialf품종은 낮게 나타났다. 두 실험결과를 토대로 실험에 이용한 15개 착색단고추 품종 중 복숭아혹진딧물이 선호하는 품종은 Ferrari, Jinju, Orange glory, Debla였으며, Purple, Orobell, Thialf품종은 선호하지 않는 품종으로 판단된다.
