  • In this paper we explain about systems developed to forecast the standing up of the dementia patients. Basic idea of our approach is to measure the respiration and body movements in the bed. Based on the data measured, forecasting of standing up action from the bed is possible to some extent. First system proposed uses an image processing technique. Data obtained about the respiration and movements are used to forecast the standing up of the patients. The second system uses ultrasonic sensors, which emits and receives ultrasonic signals.   • We have developed the gear sound recognition system of mechanical timer. A mechancal timer is superior in endurance to electronic timer. So it is reliable under severe operating environment. It is putting together several kind of gears. Therefore when the timer operates, it emits mechanical sound of gears. We have chosen a microphone to detect the gear sound. A microphone is more efficient and convenient than other sensors. Because it is of low price and non-contact type sensor. For ease of measurement we designed real-time processing software based on graphical user interface.

철도차량용 제동디스크의 온도 변화 측정 및 물성치 변화에 관한 연구(I) (A study on the Mechanical Properties of the Braking Disk due to the Temperature Change(I))

  • This study investigates the change of the temperature and mechanical properties of the braking disk for the railway vehicle. The average temperature is measured about $100^{\circ}C$ and the maximum temperature is measured over $200^{\circ}C$ by non-contact sensor from Seoul to Chun-an. As a result of measuring, we determine the temperature of test(tensile and J-integral) at $20^{\circ}C,\;100^{\circ}C,\;200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$. In the test, the material values are decreased by the increasing of the temperature. But ratio of decreasing is the largest at $200^{\circ}C$, the tensile test value is decreased about $10\%$ and the J-integral test value is decreased $30\%$. The mechanical properties of this material are mostly changed at $200^{\circ}C$.

  • This study investigates the change of the temperature and fatigue property of the braking disk (GC25-30 material) for the railway vehicle. The average temperature is measured about $100^{\circ}C$ and the maximum temperature is measured over $200^{\circ}C$ by non-contact sensor from Seoul to Chun-an. In the $20^{\circ}C-300^{\circ}C$. The Fatigue tests did for new and used disk specimens. The fatigue test results of new disk specimens were similar due to the temperature change. But the compare of specimens between new disk and old disk, The fatigue life of old disk specimens was smaller than new disk specimens about 10%.

  • The test method of ASTM E 756 and KS D 0076 to estimate vibration-damping properties is compared. Comparison method depending on specimen support, exciting method and calculation method for loss factor is used. Half-power bandwidth method and vibration decay method is used in the calculation method for loss factor, and Young's modulus is decided by geometric character and density for specimen and resonance frequency. Vibration measurement sensor is compared by using non-contact displacement detector, velocity detector and accelerometer. This paper is also presented the matter which is able to cause error in the measurement

  • Fiber reinforced plastic material should be inspected in fabrication process in order to enhance quality by prevent defects such as delamination and void. Generally, ultrasonic technique is widely used to evaluate FRP. In conventional ultrasonic techniques, transducer should be contacted on FRP. However, conventional contacting method could not be applied in fabrication process and novel non-contact evaluating technique was required. Laser-based ultrasonic technique was tried to evaluate FRP plate. Laser-based ultrasonic waves propagated on CFRP were received with various transducers such as accelerometer and AE sensor in order to evaluated the properties of waves due to the variation of frequency. Velocities of laser-based ultrasonic waves were evaluated for various fiber orientation.

  • This study investigates the change of the temperature and mechanical properties of the braking disk for the railway vehicle. The average temperature is measured about $100^{\circ}C$ and the maximum temperature is measured over $200^{\circ}C$ by non-contact sensor from Seoul to Chunan. In the $20^{\circ}C-300^{\circ}C$, the $0.2\%$ offset yield strengths of the disk (GC25-30 material) are a little down to the reference value, but the linear relation of tensile test result is not find from the linear change of temperature. However, $J_{IC}$ values have the inverse proportion to the temperature, and the $J_{IC}$ value at $200^{\circ}C$ decrease $30.55\%$ from the $J_{IC}$. value of the room temperature. This result means that the crack length on the braking disk is rapidly increase at $200^{\circ}C$

  • There have been developed in authentication systems for information using biometric information approaches such as fingerprint, face, and iris. In general, a door-lock system is operated by touching keypads, which remains fingerprints on the keypads. Such door-lock systems do not protect personal information from others due to the exposure of fingerprints to keypads. In this paper, we propose the new door-lock system that does not leave fingerprints on the keypads. Without touching keypad the system works because the system accepts authentication information by using illuminance sensor and LED. The experiment shows that the implemented door-lock system works well under any circumstance.

  • 고생산성 스마트공장을 실현하고 섬유 공정간 소량 및 대량 생산 요구에 대응할 수 있는 공장간 협업 기능성을 위해서 ICT개념이 도입되고 있다. ICT 기반의 협업 생산과 제조공정 최적화를 통해 제품 개발기간과 원가, 품질, 납기를 개선하여 고생산성 섬유제품을 생산 할 수 있는 ICT 융합형 모니터링 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 봉제기 밑실 부분에 실제 장착 가능한 비접촉식 디지털 광 화이버 센서를 이용하여 밑실잔량을 센싱하여 IoT기반 라떼판다 보드 디스플레이에 표출하는 시스템 설계를 제안하고 구현 하였다. 이는 기존 밑실잔량 센싱 장치에 비해 소형화 되어 봉제기에 적용 우수한 성능을 확보할 수 있다.
