  • This paper present the result of the investigation, the electric properties of insulators due to non-soluble contamination. In general, the humidity and the amount of soluble salts such as NaCl, $MgCl_2$ are the most dominant factor. Though the non-soluble do not distribute on conductivity of contaminant layer, that has the hygroscopic property. For this study, we make a mini-fog chamber with transparent acryl and the kaoline was used for non-soluble contaminant. The kaoline was applied with sprayer to get the specific ESDD and NSDD value, then the specimen was dried and installed horizontally. And to measure the leakage current a DAS system was developed with LabView. With the result, we could know the influence of non-soluble content and the relationship between NSDD and ESDD.

  • Anginal symptoms are frequently encountered in patients without the presence of significant obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD). It is increasingly recognized that vasomotor disorders, such as an abnormal vasodilatory capacity of the coronary microcirculation or coronary vasospasm, are the dominant pathophysiological substrate in these patients. Although the evidence with respect to angina in patients with non-obstructive coronary arteries is accumulating, the diagnosis and treatment of these patients remains challenging. In this review, we aimed to provide a comprehensive overview regarding the pathophysiological origins of angina with non-obstructive coronary arteries disorders and its diagnostic and therapeutic considerations. Hereby, we provide a practical approach for the management of patents with angina and non-obstructive CAD.

  • For the elucidation of some information on processing properties of tomato, physicochemical characteristics of fruits were analysed for two group of cultivation pattern, non-proped cultivation (5 varieties) and groped cultivation (4 varieties). Weight, length, width, thickness and specific gravity were greater in the groped cultivation group than in the non-groped. Among the groped varieties, Master 2 showed the greatest values and 76Mo11-3-1-2-2 the smallest. Among the non-groped, weight, length, width and specific gravity were greatest in Jinhong and thickness was greatest in Good Hope and smallest in $79078{\times}ARC$. Hardness showed significant difference only among the non-groped resulting in the lowest value in $79078{\times}ARC$. Fruit sphericity was greater in the non-groped among which Good Hope was the greatest. In fruit color the non-groped showed greater trend in dominant wavelength, especially in Good Hope. No significant difference between group was found in lightness and % chroma. Sugar content showed higher trend in the non-groped and highest in Master 2. Acidity was significantly higher in the non-groped and highest in Good Hope. There was no difference in pH. Vitamin C was difference between group but higher trend in $79078{\times}ARC$. Viscosity was no difference between group but higher trend in $79078{\times}CL1561F6$ of the non-groped and 76Mo11-3-1-2-2-of the groped.

  • Using physiological data which had been already published, we investigated variation of phytoplankton communities due to changes of marine environmental factor at 2 stations of northern Gamak Bay from November 2007 to September 2008. Dominant species (occupied species above 10%) were dinoflagellates 1 species and diatom 11 species. Diatom Skeletonema costatum was observed as dominant species during the periods except in summer (i.e. July and August), especially, which occupied above 90% in December. On the other hand, dominant species during summer were diatom Eucampia zodiacus and Chaetoceros spp., Considering the results of other physiological studies, S. costatum might be non-dominant species during summer by following reasons 1) growth rate of E. zodiacus might be taster than that of S. costatum under the temperature during summer although both S. costatum and E. zodiacus are eurythermal and euryhaline species. 2) Species as E. zodiacus characterized by low affinity with light might have a chance to be dominant with increasing optical transparency due to low suspended solids in July. 3) In aspect of nutrition, species of growth strategist as S. costatum could be dominant in relatively low concentration of phosphate and species of storage strategist as E. zodiacus could be dominant in relatively high concentration of phosphate during summer in this study area. In order to understand the phytoplankton dynamics in detail, the physiological informations about strains isolated from this study area are necessary because physiological conditions are different depending on isolated area.

  • The purpose of present study was to investigate the characteristics of disfluency between the Korean-English bilingual and Korean monolingual children, matched by their chronological age with the bilingual children. Twenty-eight children, 14 bilingual children and 14 monolingual children participated in this study. The experimental tasks consisted of the play situation and the task situation. The conclusion is (a) The score of total disfluency of the bilingual was significantly higher than that of the monolingual. The score of normal disfluency of the bilingual was significantly higher than that of the monolingual. The most frequent type is Interjection in both groups. All shows higher score in the task situation than the play situation. The bilingual children have quantitative and qualitative differences in disfluency score and types from the monolingual. (b) The bilingual were divided into two groups such as 6 Korean-dominant bilingual and 8 English-dominant bilingual. All shows more disfluency in their non-dominant language. The most frequent type is Interjection in both groups. (c) The higher the chronological age and the expressive language test score is, the lower the disfluency score is. The earlier the exposure age to the 2nd language is, the higher the disfluency score is. There is no correlation between resident month at foreign country and the disfluency.

  • Purpose : This study was designed to identify the effects of carrying bag positions (None, left hand, right hand, left shoulder, right shoulder) on static balance. Methods : Fourteen healthy adult females participated in the this study. The exclusion criteria were orthopedic or neurologic disease, predominant left side. Measurements were performed initial effects. Results were evaluated by OSI, APSI, and MLSI in the biodex stability system. Results : There are among the three assessments (overall stability index(OSI), antero-posterior stability index (APSI), medio-lateral stability index(MLSI) significants difference for the carrying bags positions (None bag, left hand, right hand, left shoulder, right shoulder)(p<.05). The post-hoc test revealed a significant difference between none bag and both left hand and left shoulder in the OSI, APSI, MLSI (p<.05). Also, comparing the carrying positions significant difference between right hand and both left hand and left shoulder in the MLSI (p<.05). Conclusion : The results suggest that none dominant side with carrying bag improve more imbalance than none bag and right hand of dominant with carrying bag improve more balance than non dominant side. When comparing the four carrying bag conditions, right hand was more effective than another conditions in static balance.

  • Wind-induced fluctuating internal pressures in a building with a dominant opening can be described by a second-order non-linear differential equation. However, the accuracy and efficiency of the governing equation in predicting internal pressure fluctuations depend upon two ill-defined parameters: inertial coefficient $C_I$ and loss coefficient $C_L$, since $C_I$ determines the un-damped oscillation frequency of an air slug at the opening, while $C_L$ controls the decay ratio of the fluctuating internal pressure. This study particularly focused on the value of loss coefficient and its influence factors including: opening configuration and location, internal volumes, as well as wind speed and approaching flow turbulence. A simplified formula was presented to predict loss coefficient, therefore an approximate relationship between the standard deviation of internal and external pressures can be estimated using Vickery's approach. The study shows that the loss coefficient governs the peak response of the internal pressure spectrum which, in turn, will directly influence the standard deviation of the fluctuating internal pressure. The approaching flow characteristic and opening location have a remarkable effect on the parameter $C_L$.

  • We investigated the biomechanics and characteristics of shoulder rotator muscles for professional woman volleyball players. The purpose of this study was to analyze the isokinetic peak torque and range of motion for shoulder joint rotation. We measured the strength and ROM of the internal rotation(IR) and external rotation(ER) of shoulders joint for nine professional woman Volleyball players and nine University students with Biodex and Simi-motion. 1. We measured peak torques for the shoulder joint rotator at angular velocities of 60/s and 180/s. It was found that the peak torques were significantly different between the two groups and also between the hands used. 2. At angular velocity of 60/s, IR/ER ratio of the shoulder joint was significantly different depending on the groups and the hands in use. There was a significant difference for 'Dominant side' at angular velocity of 180/s, but no significant difference for 'Non-dominant side' and the controls group. 3. Regarding the ROM of rotation of the shoulder joint group, IR was significantly different between the groups and the hands in use. 4. IR/ER ratio of the shoulder joint for Dominant side was quite different between the groups.

  • This paper represents an identification procedure for leading mechanism of a car A/V system which is composed of a DC motor and a set of plastic gears. In addition, we studied dominant noise source of rattle noise generated by external forced vibration as a car drives. we made a dynamometer to produce stationary operation on loading mechanism of A/V system because noise generated by actual loading mechanism is non-stationary signal. operating the dynamometer setup at various motor speeds, sound pressure spectra are measured and the results are analyzed. its dominant noise source is also identified by using a sound Intensity technique. we made use of multi-dimensional spectral analysis to rind a dominant rattle noise. this method is so useful to eliminate coherence between vibration sources and helps us obtain coherent output spectrum of individual vibration source which make a rattle noise.

  • Current ecological knowledge of methanotrophic biofilms is incomplete, although they have been broadly studied in biotechnological processes. Four individual DNA samples were prepared from a methanotrophic biofilm, and a multiplex 16S rDNA pyrosequencing was performed. A complete library (before being de-multiplexed) contained 33,639 sequences (average length, 415 nt). Interestingly, methanotrophs were not dominant, only making up 23% of the community. Methylosinus, Methylomonas, and Methylosarcina were the dominant methanotrophs. Type II methanotrophs were more abundant than type I (56 vs. 44%), but less richer and diverse. Dominant non-methanotrophic genera included Hydrogenophaga, Flavobacterium, and Hyphomicrobium. The library was de-multiplexed into four libraries, with different sequencing efforts (3,915 - 20,133 sequences). Sorrenson abundance similarity results showed that the four libraries were almost identical (indices > 0.97), and phylogenetic comparisons using UniFrac test and P-test revealed the same results. It was demonstrated that the pyrosequencing was highly reproducible. These survey results can provide an insight into the management and/or manipulation of methanotrophic biofilms.
