  • An automated system is needed for the effectiveness of non-destructive testing. In order to utilize the radiographic testing data accumulated in the film, the types of welding defects were classified into 9 and the shape of defects were analyzed. Data was preprocessed to use deep learning with high performance in image classification, and a combination of one-stage/two-stage method and convolutional neural networks/Transformer backbone was compared to confirm a model suitable for welding defect detection. The combination of two-stage, which can learn step-by-step, and deep-layered CNN backbone, showed the best performance with mean average precision 0.868.

  • Before deciding if structures exposed to high temperature are to be repaired or demolished, their final state should be carefully examined. Destructive and non-destructive testing methods are generally applied for this purpose. Compressive strength and color change in mortars are observed as a result of the effects of high temperature. In this study, ordinary and pozzolan-added mortar samples were produced using different aggregates, and exposed to 100, 200, 300, 600, 900 and $1200^{\circ}C$. The samples were divided into two groups and cooled to room temperature in water and air separately. Compression tests were carried out on these samples, and the color change was evaluated by the Munsell Color System. The relationships between the change in compressive strength and color of mortars were determined by using a multi-layered feed-forward Neural Network model trained with the back-propagation algorithm. The results showed that providing accurate estimates of compressive strength by using the color components and ultrasonic pulse velocity design parameters were possible using the approach adopted in this study.

  • To analyze the using of recycled aggregate on concrete as the substitude aggregate is important problem for the reuse of waste matter and prevention of environmental pollution. Therefore, this study is designed for investigating and analyzing the mechanical properties and early estimational properties of strength on concrete using aggregate of the waste concrete. And is aimed to provide the fundamental data for recycled aggregate.

  • In many applications (e,g., identification of non-destructive testing signal and biomedical signal and multiscale analysis of image), it is of interest to analyze and identify phenomena occurring at the different scales. The recently introduced wave let transforms provide a time-scale decomposition of signals that offers the possibility of such signals. However, there is no corresponding statistical properties to development of multiscale statistical signal processing. In this paper, we derive such properties of random signals in wavelet domain.

  • Cracks of concrete structure must be analyzed and estimated synthetically in order to have a maintenance and to insure the safety and the durability of structure. Concrete cracks have to be surveyed with respect to depth, width, shape and direction etc, but crack depth among these items is not measured easily. Occasionally, it needs to measure the crack depth of concrete structure for the purpose of evaulating the safe capacity and the necessity of repair. Therefore, this research is performed to verify the applicability and the accuracy of Ultra-sonic Pulse Velocity Technique(Tester), in non-destructive testing methods of concrete crack depth.

  • In the commercial building such as huge enterprise building, more accurate operation of the center-controlled roller blind. We design, in this work, the target disc that its shape is nonlinearly changing and the sensor coils that are differentially arranged. The performance shows less than 1% accuracy when it is implemented in the roller blind.

  • Three types of warranty policies are considered. They are (1) free warranty policy for repairable products, (2) free warranty policy for nonrepairable products, and (3) rebate warranty policy. Under each warranty policy, a single sampling attribute plan with non-destructive testing is considered. A sampling plan is characterized by the sample size and the acceptance number. For each case, characteristics of an optimum sampling plan are discussed and determined, which minimize the warranty cost and the corresponding quality control cost within the assigned producer's risk and consumer's risk.

  • The use of digital copies of film-based analog images and the introduction of digital radiographic imaging systems using image plates gradually replace the non-destructive radiationirradiation method of Cultural Heritage. The quality of images obtained from this technique is affected by conditions such as tube voltage, tube current, and exposure time, type of image acquisition medium, distance of the artifacts from the image acquisition medium, and thickness of artifacts. In this study, we evaluated the grayscale image obtained using GE's Computed Radiograhpy (CR) imaging system, the transmission characteristics of the X-ray source for each tree type (pine, chestnut, sawtooth oak, ginkgo) used in wooden Cultural Heritage, and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast. The GE's CR imaging were analyzed using the Duplex wire image quality indicator, line-pair gauges.
