초고속 정보통신망을 위한 이동수신 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mobile Communication System for the Ultra High Speed Communication Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 초고속 정보통신망에 이용할 수 있는 이동수신 시스템 단말기의 RF 핵심부품인 안테나, 저잡음 증폭기, 혼합기, VCO와 베이스밴드 처리부에서의 변복조 시스템을 연구하였다. 고속 디지털 통신을 행하는 경우, 안테나의 대역폭과 멀티패스에 의해 생기는 선택성 페이딩이 커다란 문제가 될 수 있는 데 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 루프구조의 자계 안테나 특성을 갖는 광대역 소형 MSA(Microstrip Antenna)를 설계 제작하였다. 2단 저잡음 증폭기는 잡음 특성이 우수한 NE32584C를 사용하여 첫단에서 0.4dB 이하의 잡음지수를 갖도록 최적화 하였으며, 두 번째 단은 충분한 이득을 얻을 수 있도록 설계하였다. 그 결과 전체 잡음 지수는 중심 주파수에서 약 0.5dB, 이득은 39dB를 얻었다. 분포형 주파수 혼합기는 Dual-Gate GaAs MESFET를 사용하여 입력단에 하이브리드를 사용하지 않고 10dB 이상의 LO/RF 분리도를 얻었고, 회로의 크기를 최소화하였다. 또한, 선형적인 혼합 신호를 출력하여 베이스밴드에서의 신호왜곡을 감소 시켰으며, 주파수 혼합작용과 증폭작용이 동시에 이루어지므로 변환이득을 얻을 수 있고 분포형 증폭이론을 적용하여 광대역특성을 갖도록 설계하였다. VCO(voltage control oscillator)의 설계는 대신호 해석을 통한 발진기 이론을 도입하여 비교적 안정된 신호를 출력할 수 있도록 설계 제작하였다. 베이스밴드 처리부의 변복조 시스템은 선호의 대역폭을 넓히고 내잡음 간섭성 등에 우수한 방식으로 알려져 있는 DS/SS(Direct Sequence/spread Spectrum) 방식의 시스템 설계이론을 적용하였다. 본 연구에서는 BER 특성이 우수하고 고속 디지털 신호처리에 유리한 DQPSK 변/복조방식을 채택하였으며 PN 부호 발생기는 m-계열 부호를 출력하도록 하였다.

멀티콥터를 이용한 수직방향 DTV 신호 레벨 측정 (Measurement of Vertical-Directional DTV Signal Level Using a Multi-Copter)

  • DTV 필드 테스트는 실내와 실외에서 전계강도와 수신 가능성 등을 측정하는 것으로 실외의 경우 측정 차량을 도로에서 수평적으로 이동하면서 9m 높이의 안테나를 사용 DTV 신호를 측정하였다. 현대의 고층 빌딩과 같은 수직 집단 구조의 주거 형태에서는 수직적인 DTV 신호 측정을 통하여 수직 방향 전파 환경 분석이 필요하다. 특히 전면에 장애물이 많아 다중 경로 간섭과 임펄스 잡음의 영향으로 전계강도가 수신 임계값인 $43dB{\mu}V/m$ 이상인 경우에도 수신이 불가한 경우가 있어 건물 밀집지역이나 특수한 측정 환경에 적합한 필드 측정 및 분석이 절대적으로 필요하다. 이를 위하여 자유롭게 비행하면서 DTV 수신신호 레벨을 측정할 수 있는 비행체 옥토형 멀티콥터를 개발하고 시험을 거쳐 실용성 있게 성능을 개선하였다. 휴대형 소형 DTV 수신신호 레벨 측정기와 안테나 및 데이터 전송용 M/W 송신기 또는 녹화용 장비가 탑재되어 DTV 수신신호 레벨 측정이 가능한 이 멀티콥터를 이용하여 전파환경이 다른 3지역의 측정을 통해 신뢰성 검증과 실용성을 입증하였다. 수직 방향 수신신호 레벨 측정은 수직 방향 전파 환경 변화가 큰 장소, 고층 아파트 같은 집단적 수직 주거 형태, 도보나 차량으로 접근이 불가능한 지역 등 측정점의 특수한 환경에 적합한 데이터를 얻을 수 있어 기존의 수평적 필드 테스트에서는 접근하기 어려운 장소의 전파 변화 분석에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.

다중 경로 채널에서 임펄스 라디오의 특징 (Characteristics of Impulse Radios for Mu1tipath Channels)

  • 최근 들어 무선 통신 시스템의 급격한 증가로 인해, 한정된 주파수 자원의 효과적인 배분이 큰 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이의 근본적인 해결 방안으로서, 초광대역 시간도약 임펄스 라디오 시스템이 많은 관심을 모으고 있다. 임펄스 라디오 시스템은 PPM 변조된 데이터를 1 nsec 이하의 매우 짧은 펄스폭을 갖는 가우시안 모노사이클 펄스를 사용하여 전송한다. 따라서 전송 신호는 매우 낮은 전력의 수 GHz에 이르는 초광대역 스펙트럼을 갖게 되며, 기존의 통신 시스템에 거의 간섭을 미치지 않는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 임펄스 라디오 신호의 다중 경로 전파 특성을 파악하고 다중 경로 환경에서 상관기를 사용하는 수신기의 성능을 평가하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 본 논문에서는 결정론적인 2-path 모델과 Saleh와 Valenzuela의 통계적 실내 다중 경로 모델을 고려하였다. 2-path 모델에 대하여 이상적인 기준 파형을 사용하는 상관기의 출력이 간접 경로의 지연 시간과 PPM 이진 데이터의 시간 지연의 상대적 차와 간접 경로의 경로 이득에 의존함을 보이고 모의 실험을 통하여 두 모델에 대한 임펄스 라디오의 비트 오율 특성을 관측하였다. 모의 실험 결과에 의하면 임펄스 라디오의 성능은 간접 경로의 지연 시간과 PPM 이진 데이터의 시간 지연의 상대적 차에 따라서 변하는 것이 관측되었다. 또한 기존의 AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise) 채널 환경에서 사용되는 기준 파형을 다중 경로 채널에서 적용할 수 없음을 관측하였다.

배관결함 검출을 위한 EMAT 시스템 개발 (Development of an EMAT System for Detecting flaws in Pipeline)

  • EMAT(electromagnetic-acoustic transducer)는 비접촉식 초음파 탐촉자이므로 초음파의 송수신을 위하여 접촉매질이 필요하지 않기 때문에 탐촉자를 시험 대상체의 표면을 따라 움직이면서 결함 검출이 가능하며, 코일의 설계와 배열에 따라 표면파와 판파 등 원하는 모드의 유도초음파를 손쉽게 송수신할 수 있기 때문에 두께가 얇은 배관의 탐상에 알맞는 초음파 탐촉자이다. 본 논문에서는 표면초음파 발생을 위한 EMAT와 $A_1$ 모드의 판파, $S_1$ 모드의 판파를 선택적으로 발생시키기 위한 EMAT를 설계 제작하였다. 1.5MHz의 표면초음파는 분산이 없어서 신호 왜곡 없이 높은 신호 대 잡음비로 배관을 진햄함을 보였다. 반면에 800kHz의 $S_1$ 모드의 판파와 940 KHz의 A1 모드의 판파는 분산 특성이 있어서 배관을 따라 진행하면서 신호 왜곡이 생김을 확인할 수 있었으며, EMAT에 공급하는 펄스의 폭을 넓히면 판파의 모드 선택성이 향상되었다. 내경 256mm, 두께 5.5mm인 강관에 가공된 인공결함에 대한 각 모드의 결함 검출능을 서로 비교하였다.

단일 벡터센서의 수중음향 통신 시스템 성능 향상을 위한 채널 파라미터 기반 가중 방법 (A channel parameter-based weighting method for performance improvement of underwater acoustic communication system using single vector sensor)

  • 음향 벡터센서는 한 위치에서 음향압력 뿐만 아니라 입자속도 및 가속도와 같은 벡터량을 동시에 수신할 수 있기 때문에 수중음향 통신 시스템의 단일입력다중출력 수신기로써 사용가능하다. 한편, 단일 벡터센서로 수신되는 벡터 신호는 송·수신기 간 방위각과 다중경로 각 요소의 전파각도에 따라 서로 다른 채널 특성을 갖기 때문에 다른 통신성능을 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 단일 벡터센서를 이용한 수중음향 통신 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 채널 파라미터 기반 가중 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법의 검증을 위해 Korea Reverberation Experiment(KOREX-17) 중에 수행된 통신실험 데이터를 사용하였다. 음향 송신기는 수신기로부터 멀어지면서 통신신호를 전송했으며 단일 벡터 수신기는 음향압력 신호와 x, y, 및 z 가속도 신호를 측정했다. 수신된 가속도 신호는 압력등가 입자속도 신호로 변환되어 음향압력 신호와 함께 다중채널 통신 시스템의 입력값으로 사용되었다. 통신 복조를 위해 시변 채널에 강인한 블록기반 시역전 기법이 활용되었으며, 통신 결과로부터 단일 벡터센서를 이용한 수중음향 통신 시스템에 대한 채널 파라미터 기반 가중 방법의 유효성이 입증되었다.

3개 센서의 광대역 신호 스펙트로그램에 나타나는 간섭패턴을 이용한 수중 표적의 위치 추정 (Underwater Target Localization Using the Interference Pattern of Broadband Spectrogram Estimated by Three Sensors)

  • 본 논문에서는 음향 스펙트로그램을 이용하여 수중 이동표적의 위치를 추정하기 위한 방법을 연구하였다. 주파수와 시간의 2차원 평면으로 표현되는 스펙트로그램은 수중 운동체의 이동 정보를 제공한다. 음원과 수신 센서간의 거리가 충분히 멀 경우 스펙트로그램의 넓은 주파수에 걸쳐 발생하는 줄무늬들은 해수면 및 해저면에 의해 반사된 모드간의 간섭을 의미하고, 이때 최대 음압이 발생하는 줄무늬의 기울기는 음향 도파관 불변인자 ${\beta}$와 표적과 센서간의 거리에 의해 영향을 받는다. 2개 이상의 센서를 사용하여 이동하는 선박의 광대역 방사 소음을 측정한 경우 스펙트로그램에 나타나는 최대 음압이 발생하는 줄무늬의 기울기와 줄무늬가 주파수축에서 천이된 비율이 표적과 센서간의 거리에 따라 각각 다르게 나타난다. 두개의 센서를 두 정점으로 가정하여 표적에 이르는 거리의 비가 일정한 값을 가지면서 운동하는 점의 자취인 아폴로니오스의 원을 형성하고, 3개의 센서를 사용할 경우 두 개의 원이 서로 교점을 형성하는데, 이 교점의 좌표를 표적의 위치라 추정한다. 제안된 위치 추정 기법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 음파전달 프로그램을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

판형 웨이브가이드 초음파 센서를 이용한 소듐냉각고속로 원격주사 검사기법 개발 (Development of a Ranging Inspection Technique in a Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor Using a Plate-type Ultrasonic Waveguide Sensor)

  • 제 4세대 원자로로 개발되고 있는 소듐냉각고속로는 냉각재로 사용되는 소듐의 물과 공기에 의한 반응을 방지하기 위하여 원자로 헤드의 개방 없이 회전 구동만을 이용하여 핵연료 교환을 수행한다. 따라서 핵연료 교환을 위해서는 노심과 상부내부구조물 사이의 공간에 원자로 헤드의 회전 구동을 방해하는 장애물의 존재 여부를 확인하는 검사가 반드시 선행되어야 하는데, 소듐의 불투명성으로 인해 통상적인 광학 장비를 사용한 검사방법으로는 장애물의 확인이 어렵고, 초음파를 이용한 검사방법이 적용되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 불투명한 소듐 중에서 노심과 상부내부구조물 사이의 장애물 존재 여부를 확인하기 위하여 판형 웨이브가이드 초음파 센서를 적용한 원격주사 검사기법을 개발하였다. 웨이브가이드 센서는 원자로헤드 상부의 저온 구간에 초음파 트랜스듀서를 설치하고 길이가 긴 웨이브가이드를 사용하여 노심 상부의 고온 고방사능 소듐 내부로 초음파를 전파시키기 때문에, 고온 고방사능에 의한 손상 없이 장시간 적용이 가능한 장점을 가지고 있다. 먼저, 수평 방향으로 초음파를 방사시킬 수 있는 10 m 길이의 수평 빔 웨이브가이드 센서를 설계 제작하였고, 제작된 센서의 특성 분석을 위한 빔 프로파일 측정 및 기초 실험을 수행하여 방사되는 초음파의 빔 폭과 전파 거리를 평가하였다. 또한, 실제 장애물로 작용할 수 있는 부품들의 형상인 원형 목표물에 대한 원격탐지 성능시험을 수행하여 개발된 원격주사 기술의 유용성을 평가하였다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The authors suggests that this system based on down-sized computer could provide a progressive approach to total LIS based on local area network, and the implemented system could serve as a model for other hospital's LIS for routine hematology. 30609 T00401030609 ^x To develop an artificial bone substitute that is gradually degraded and replaced by the regenerated natural bone, the authors designed a composite that is consisted of calcium phosphate and collagen. To use as the structural matrix of the composite, collagen was purified from human umbilical cord.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
