Nowadays, the needs to revise the classification criteria for noise emission facilities have been suggested by the related industries. Because there existed many reasonable factors in the criteria regarding the noise emission facilities. And the noise emission facility classification criterion of the print machine changed from 50 HP to 100 HP in 2013. But the increasement of the noise emission facility classification criterion of the print machine can cause adverse effects like the bigger noise. So, in this paper, we measured the print machine's sound power level according to the changes of the print machine's power to assess the adverse effects. The measurement method applied with KS I ISO 9614-2(1996). The corelation between the sound power level and the power of print machines was analyzed by regression analysis. In this paper, we found that the sound power level of the print machines can increase about 1.3 dB in the condition of that the power of print machine increases from 50 HP to 100 HP. And we found that the sound power level of the print machines can increase about 1.0 dB for a increasement of 1,000 SPH(sheet per hour) of printing speed. The noise emission characteristics of print machine stuied in this paper will be useful to design the noise reduction plan in the future.

In this paper, I summarize the case for the noise emission of domestic power plants and foreign power plants occurred recently. It is described to main content that is analyzing of the noise source and looking at the noise generated, if necessary to derive the solution. In addition, a case study is shown based on that noise levels can be changed by the differently surrounding environmental conditions during the measurement noise.
The performance of communication systems should be tested against a set of requirements. To this end, noise generation systems are used to generate noise signals with specified characteristics. In recent study, noise generation system using DCT outperforms the conventional noise generation system when a noise model requires complicated PSD(Power Spectral Density) specifications. In this paper low area/power structures of non-DCT block in DCT-based noise generation system are proposed. Simulation results show that the low area structure results in area reduction by 61-64% and the low power structure achieves power reduction by 88-89% except DCT blocks.

For the reduction and efficient management of railway noise, first of all prediction of railway noise is necessarily requested, At home and abroad, many studies for prediction of railway nearby noise have been accomplished, But it is impossible to predict exactly for the Korean Railroad, because the acoustic power DB for each rolling stock used in Korea has not been builded yet. So in this study, acoustic power DB for each Korean rolling stock such as Samaeul, Mugungwha was builded according to the speed and rail support systems. Predicted results using accumulated acoustic power DB are compared with measured results and it is known that accumulated acoustic power DB can be used for more precise prediction of railway nearby noise.

Present paper deals with turbulence-airfoil interaction noise and mainly investigates the effects of airfoil thickness on the broadband noise spectrum. The acoustic power radiation from an airfoil is predicted using high-order time-domain method, which is based on the computational aeroacoustic technique solving the linear Euler equations. The homogeneous and isotropic turbulence is generated by utilizing the synthetic turbulence modeling based on random particle method. The airfoils taken into consideration are a flat-plate and a NACA0012 airfoil aligned with uniform mean flow. The effects of airfoil thickness on the radiated inflow turbulence noise are investigated by comparing acoustic power spectrum predicted for each airfoil. The comparison of acoustic power spectrum reveals that the airfoil thickness significantly contributes the high frequency noise reduction.
This paper describes a 2.5V, 320MHz low-noise and low-power Phase Locked Loop(PLL) using a noise-rejected Voltage Controlled ring Oscillator(VCO) fabricated in a TSMC 0.25um CMOS technology. In order to improve the power consumption and oscillation frequency of the PLL, The VCO consist of three-stage fully differential delay cells that can obtain the characteristic of high speed, low power and low phase noise. The VCO operates at 7MHz -670MHz. The oscillator consumes l.58mA from a 320MHz frequency and 2.5V supply. When the PLL with fully-differential ring VCO is locked 320MHz, the jitter and phase noise measured 26ps (rms), 157ps (p-p) and -97.09dB at 100kHz offset. We introduce and analysis the conditions in which ring VCO can oscillate for low-power operation.

This paper presents an analysis of the electromagnetic interference of a heterogeneous power bus where electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) cells are irregularly arranged. To mitigate electrical-noise coupling between high-speed circuits, the EBG structure is placed between parallel plate waveguide (PPW)-based power buses on which the noise source and victim circuits are mounted. We examine a noise suppression characteristic of the heterogeneous power bus in terms of scattering parameters. The characteristics of the dispersion and scattering parameters are compared in the sensitivity analysis of the EBG structure. Electric field distributions at significant frequencies are thoroughly examined using electromagnetic simulation based on a finite element method (FEM). The noise suppression characteristics of the heterogeneous power bus are demonstrated experimentally. The heterogeneous power bus achieves significant reduction of electrical-noise coupling compared to the homogeneous power buses that are adopted in conventional high-speed circuit design. In addition, the measurements show good agreement with the FEM simulation results.

The breaker noise is one of the main noise sources of construction site. It is very important to assess and measure the breaker noise accurately, because the noise labelling will be in effect January 2008 in Korea. Therefore, It is necessary to measure the sound power level of breakers and use a appropriate test method in accordance with international standard. In this study, we measure the sound power level of breakers by using the breaker noise measurement system. This system makes it possible to measure the breaker noise more accurately than to measure the noise of that attached with excavator, because this system can control main factors affecting breaker noise such as hydraulic input power, hydraulic supply pressure, breaker inlet oil flow and so on.

The noise emitted from an excavator has long been a cause of environmental disputes, while causing displeasure to the nearby residents. So, the ministry of environment adopted the construction machinery noise labeling system to encourage the construction machinery manufacturing companies to develop the low noise construction machinery voluntarily. But, as the quality of life improves, a growing number of people desire the comfortable and quite environment to live in. Under the situation, noise from the construction machinery has been a major cause for stress and complaints. When the noise dispute happened in the construction site, the sound pressure level of the construction machinery like a excavator was measured at the lot boundary of the noise victim's residence to judge how much noise damage occur. But the sound pressure level of the construction machinery is measured differently according to the acoustic environment of construction site and the measuring position, respectively, which makes it difficulty to judge whether the noise damage occur or not. As the sound power level of noise source is not affected by the acoustic environment of construction site and the measuring position, if we use the information of the sound power level, it will be easy to judge whether the noise damage occur and to establish the soundproofing measures. Therefore, we derive the sound power level regression model of the excavator to judge whether the noise emitted from the excavator damages to residents near the construction site. Also, the sound power level regression model of the excavator drawn in this paper will help construction companies to plan the noise reduction program in the construction sites.

Power Flow Analysis(PFA) is used as the promising tools for the vibration and noise predictions of complex structures in medium-to-high frequency ranges. When the noise and vibration of a complex structure are analyzed, Power Flow finite Element Method combining PFA with FEM is efficient in vibration analysis, and Power Flow Boundary element Method combining PFA with BEM is usful in noise analysis. PFFEM software, PFADS has been developed for the vibration analysis of coupled system structures. Also, NASPFA, the noise analysis software based on PFBEM, has been developed. Through the several upgrades, the current version PFADS R3 and NASPFA R2 are used for the vibration and noise analysis of system structures in medium-to-high frequency ranges. In this paper, the structure and function of each software are explained, and the vibration and noise levels of vehicle structures predicted by each software are shown.
