  • This study analyzed the timbral characteristics of Pliri by basis step for the sound synthesis for Piri, Korean traditional musical Instrument. By analyzing this material, we can find out three characteristics about the study of the spectrum analysis for the sound synthesis of Piri. First, compared the timbral characteristics of Piri with Oboe through the spectrum analysis, Second, analyzed the timbral characteristics by the sound occurrence process through the time zone analysis of the attack part of the sound started. Finally, analyzed the special characteristics of the vibrato that is important role of musical instrument performance. As a result, the timbral characteristics of Piri is that the volume of the high harmonics was appeared to be high unlike the general classical instrument and the noise quantity rapidly decreased in the sound attack part but the volume value of harmonics increased. And also vibrato that is performance technique is changed pitch and amplitude at the same time by contrast with the general classical instrument. Thus, the timbral characteristic of Piri by the harmonics and the timbre change by the attack part which is sound occurrence process and the change of the pitch and amplitude in the vibrato is characteristic that represented unique quality of Piri. We expect that this achievement can be applied to sound synthesis.

  • Due to its complexity and high diagnosis and treatment costs, heart attack (HA) is the top cause of death globally. Heart failure's widespread effect and high morbidity and death rates make accurate and fast prognosis and diagnosis crucial. Due to the complexity of medical data, early and accurate prediction of HA is difficult. Healthcare providers must evaluate data quickly and accurately to intervene. This novel hybrid approach predicts HA using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, Deep belief networks (DBNs) with attention mechanism, and robust data mining to fill this essential gap. HA is predicted using Kaggle, PhysioNet, and UCI datasets. Wearable sensor data, ECG signals, and demographic and clinical data provide a solid analytical base. To maintain consistency, ECG signals are normalized and segmented after thorough cleaning to remove missing values and noise. Feature extraction employs complex approaches like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Autoencoders to pick time-domain (MNN, SDNN, RMSSD, PNN50) and frequency-domain (PSD at VLF, LF, HF bands) characteristics. The hybrid model architecture uses LSTM networks for sequence learning and DBNs for feature representation and selection to create a robust and comprehensive prediction model. Accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC are measured after cross-entropy loss and SGD optimization. The LSTM-DBN model outperforms predictive methods in accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. The findings show that several data sources and powerful algorithms can improve heart attack predictions. The proposed architecture performed well on many datasets, with an accuracy rate of 96.00%, sensitivity of 98%, AUC of 0.98, and F1-score of 0.97. High performance proves this system's dependability. Moreover, the proposed approach is outperformed compared to state-of-the-art systems.

  • With the development of micro electronic circuits and optical equipment, the demand for developing smart munitions with the ability to autonomously search for and attack targets has increased. Since the electronic components within smart munitions are affected by high temperatures, pressure, and impulsive forces upon the combustion of gunpowder, stability and reliability need to be secured for them. Securing those stability and reliability requires soft recovery system which can decelerate smart munitions. A theoretical analysis of flow is performed for the secure recovery of bullets on the basis of Navier-Stokes equation for compressible fluids. The inner pressure on a pressure tube, the speeds of bullets, and the deceleration of munitions are calculated theoretically. Theoretical results are compared with the data from the experiment with soft recovery system set up at the laboratory.

  • All critical equipment installed aboard naval ships and submarines is required to be shock-qualified by tests on the MIL-S-901 shock test machines where testing is practical. The intent of the shock requirements is to produce combat vessels which are resistant to the underwater explosion weapon attack. To efficiently design equipment for passing a series of shock tests, the shock environment of the shock test machine should be clearly identified. In this paper, the shock characteristics of the MIL-S-901 Medium Weight Shock Machine(MWSM) are reviewed, based on the existing test data. An analytical model for the MWSM is also discussed.

  • In this letter, a novel wavelet-based semi-fragile watermarking scheme is presented which exploiting the time-frequency feature of chaotic map. We also analyze the robustness to mild modification and fragility to malicious attack of our scheme. Its application includes tamper detection, image verification and copyright protection of multimedia content. Simulation results show the scheme can detect and localize malicious attacks with high peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR), while tolerating certain degree of JPEG compression and channel additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN)

  • The fluid induced vibration (FIV) phenomena of an equivalent airfoil system of MAV have been investigated in low Reynolds number flow region. Unsteady flows with viscosity are computed using two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The present fluid/structure interaction analysis is based on one of the most accurate computational approach with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and computational structural dynamics (CSD) techniques. The highly nonlinear fluid/structure interaction phenomena due to severe flow separations have been analyzed for the low Reynolds region that has a dominancy of flow viscosity. The effects of Reynolds number and initial angle of attack on the fluid/structure coupled vibration instability are shown and the qualitative trend of FIV phenomenon is investigated.

  • The hollow letter CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is an optimized version of solid CAPTCHA, specifically designed to weaken characteristic information and increase the difficulty of machine recognition. Although convolutional neural networks can solve CAPTCHA in a single step, a good attack result heavily relies on sufficient training data. To address this challenge, we propose a seed filling algorithm that converts hollow characters to solid ones after contour line restoration and applies three rounds of detection to remove noise background by eliminating noise blocks. Subsequently, we utilize a support vector machine to construct a feature vector for recognition. Security analysis and experiments show the effectiveness of this algorithm during the pre-processing stage, providing favorable conditions for subsequent recognition tasks and enhancing the accuracy of recognition for hollow CAPTCHA.

  • In this paper, the digital watermarking algorithm is proposed using CDMA technique for protection of the mobile contents in the mobile environment. The digital watermarking was designed to robust the errors in the mobile environment where pathloss, multipath fading, interference, and noise exist. In case of the multimedia content service in the mobile environment, the construction method of the watermark, the algorithm of insertion and detection are also proposed. The watermark consists of the information of the mobile user. Invisibility and robustness required in watermarking are etimated. It is observed that PSNR of the mobile content inserted the watermark is 90.31 dB, and the signal processing and noise attack are also robust. Especially, because random noise occurs in wireless transmission can overcome, the proposed watermarking algorithm is adequate for protection of the multimedia contents in the mobile environment.
