알루미늄에 니켈-질화붕소-인과 니켈-질화붕소-붕소의 3원계 복합도금 (Composite Coating of Nickel-Boron Nitride-Phosphours and Nickel-Boron Nitride-Boron Ternary System on Aluminum)

  • Codeposited of boron nitride(BN) particle dispersed into electroless nickel-phosphours (Ni-P) and nickel-boron(Ni-B) platings were studied for the purpose of developing the wear resistance and lubricity. BN can be codeposited from electroless nickel plating bath with $NaH_2PO_2$ and $NaBH_4$ as the reducing agents. Most dispersolids were distributed uniformly in the Ni-P and Ni-B matrix. Abrasion loss decreased with increasing amount of codeposits and reached a constant value 2.4 percent by volume percent of BN particle. The wear resistance and the friction coefficient of the heat treated BN composite coatings were improved about three times than that of as-coatings. The BN composite coatings were more wear resistance than hard chromium. Ni-B-BN composite coatings showed lower wear resistance and friction coefficient than Ni-P-BN. The BN content of the deposite was found to be 2.4 v/o for these optium conditions.

양백에 코팅된 비정질 TiO2 박막의 특성에 관한 연구 (Gold Colored Coating of TiO2 thin film on Nickel-Silver by Sol-Gel Process)

  • 금속 안경테의 제조에 가장 많이 사용되는 범용 양백의 표면에 2%Ti-naphthanate toluene solution을 $TiO_2$의 전구체로 하여 sol-gel spin coating을 행하고 $500^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 한 코팅 층의 형성조건 및 표면 구조 그리고 표면색상을 Optical photometer외 색차계 그리고 X-선 회절분석기로 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. $TiO_2$ 박막의 열처리 온도는 $500^{\circ}C$가 적정하였으며 1회 코팅 시의 평균 두께는 $0.24{\mu}m$이었으며 코팅 횟수 증가에 따라 직선적으로 증가하였다. $TiO_2$ 코팅 층의 결정구조는 비정질 상태로 존재하였고 색상은 코팅 횟수에 따라 변화하였으며 2회 코팅한 경우는 적색이 미세하게 출현하였으며 3회 코팅한 경우에는 검붉은 색이 발현되었다. 명도는 55.92(1회)에서 코팅 횟수가 증가함에 따라 점차 저하하였으며 a는 3회 코팅까지는 red계열로 증가하다가 급격히 저하하며, b는 꾸준히 감소하여 blue계열로 변화하는 경향을 보였다. 금 색상의 발현을 위해서는 1회 코팅인 $0.24{\mu}m$ 두께의 $TiO_2$ 비정질 막이 적합하였다.

A two-dimensional finite element model was developed to compute the temperature distribution, thermal stress and thermal strain behavior for continuous casting mold. For structural analysis using thermal analysis result from ANSYS. In other to structural analysis of continuous casting mold, many variables such as casting speed, cooling condition, film coefficient, convection and load condition are considered.

  • 금속이 코팅된 FBG(fiber Bragg grating) 센서는 구조물이 과거에 겪은 최대 변형률을 기억하는 기억효과(memory effect)를 가진다. 본 연구에서는 무전해 도금법과 전해 도금법을 이용하여 약 $43{\mu}m$의 두께를 가지는 니켈(nickel)이 코팅된 FBG 센서를 제작하였다. 니켈 코팅된 FBG 센서의 잔류 변형률 생성 성능, 즉, 기억효과를 검증하기 위해 반복하중 실험(잔류 변형률 생성실험)을 수행하였다. 인가한 최대 변형률의 크기가 증가함에 따라 잔류 변형률이 증가함을 확인함으로써 기억효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 수행한 니켈이 코팅된 FBG 센서의 제작 기법과 센서에 대한 반복하중 실험결과는 향후 광섬유 센서를 이용한 구조물 건전성 감시(SHM, structural health monitoring)기법 개발에 기본 데이터로서 활용될 것이다.

  • Metal sulfides are good candidates for cathode materials. Especially, iron sulfides and nickel sulfides have been demonstrated to be potential electrode materials among metal sulfides due to nontoxicity and high theoretical specific capacities. Electrochemical properties (capacity, cycle life, stability etc.) of Li/iron sulfides or nickel sulfides cell were improved by methode such as coating, doping of material, and nanoization of materials etc.

  • Nickel chloride coated protein chip plate was developed by using a spin coating method. The ability of histidine tagged protein adsorption was investigated at various solvents. The surface of plate has a large aggregated nickel complex with high density in water. However, the surface of plate has a very small size of aggregated nickel complex with low density in isopropanol. The ability of protein adsorption decreased as increasing the size of alkyl chain in various alcohol solvents. The mechanism on the ability of protein adsorption at the plate surface is discussed.

  • Nickel fiber mat was investigated as a potential structured catalyst for steam reforming of biogas in the temperature range of $600-700^{\circ}C$. The activity of as-received catalyst was very low owing to the smooth surface of fibers. Pretreatment of the catalyst by oxidation followed by reduction under methane partial oxidation condition significantly improved the catalytic activity, although degradation of the activity was found during the reaction due to oxidation and sintering. This deactivation was retarded by supplying additional hydrogen in the inlet gases or by coating $CeO_2$ over the catalyst surfaces.

  • A palladium-nikel(Pd-Ni) alloy composite membrane has been fabricated on microporous nickel support formed with nickel powder. Plasma surface treatment process is introduced as pre-treatment process instead of HCI activation. Pd coating layer was prepared by dc magnetron sputtering deposition after $H_2$ plasma surface treatment. Palladium-nickel alloy composite layer had a fairly uniform and dense surface morphology. The membrane was characterized by permeation experiments with hydrogen and nitrogen gases at temperature of 773 K and pressure of 2.2psi. The hydrogen permeance was 6 ml/minㆍ$\textrm{cm}^2$ㆍatm and the selectivity was 120 for hydrogen/nitrogen($H_2$/$N_2$) mixing gases at 773 K.

  • A $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2$ (LNCAO/C) active material composite cathode was coated with carbon. The conductive carbon coating was obtained by addition of surfactant during synthesis. The addition of surfactant led to the formation of an amorphous carbon coating layer on the pristine LNCAO surface. The layer of carbon coating was clearly detected by FE-TEM analysis. In electrochemical performance, although the LNCAO/C showed similar capacity at low C-rate conditions, the rate capability was improved by the form of the carbon coating at high current discharge state. After 40 cycles of charge-discharge processes, the capacity retention of LNCAO/C was better than that of LNCAO. The carbon coating is effectively protected the surface structure of the pristine LNCAO during Li insertion-extraction.
