TiNi/Al6061-T6과 TiNi/Al2024-T4 형상기억복합재료에 대한 피로강도기준의 비교 (Comparison of Fatigue Strength Criteria for TiNi/Al6061-T6 and TiNi/Al2024-T4 Shape Memory Alloy Composite)

  • This study produced a design curve and fatigue limit for a variation in volume ratio and reduction ratio of TiNi/Al composites. In many cases, stress-life curve does not indicate fatigue limit, so it was presented by probabilistic-stress-life curve. Goodman diagram was used to analyze the fatigue strength of materials with a finite life determined by repeated load and the fatigue strength of endurance limit with an infinite life. The fatigue experiment was conducted using the scenk-type plane bending specimen in same shape. The result of the fatigue test, which had been conducted under consistent stress amplitude, was examined. (i) The optimal condition for TiNi/Al in accordance with hot pressing (ii) Impacts of fatigue limit caused by a variation in reduction ratio and volume ratio of TiNi/Al composites (iii) Probability distribution for fatigue limit of TiNi/Al2024 and TiNi/Al6061.

Al-Si확산코팅에 따른 Ni기 초합금의 미세조직과 부식특성 (Microstructure and Corrosion Characteristics of Al-Si Diffusion Coated Ni Base Super alloy)

  • The microstructure and corrosion properties of Al-Si diffusion coated PWA1426 alloy have been investigated. Experimental variables are included temperatures of heat-treatment and coating thickness. The microstructure of coated layer and corrosion properties were analysed by SEM, EDS and hot corrosion test. Two major processes have been found to contribute to microstructural changes in the coating. These are, firstly, the transformation of the NiAl to other $Ni_2Al_3$-based phase and secondly, the precipitation of Cr containing phases. Specimens heat treated at $1080^{\circ}C$ showed superior corrosion resistance to heat treated at $880^{\circ}C$. These increase in life was attributed to the transformation of NiAl and increased coating thickness of PWA1426 alloy.

Cu 첨가에 따른 Al-Y-Ni의 나노결정화 거동 (Nanocrystallization Behavior of Al-Y-Ni with Cu Additions)

  • This paper reports the results of an investigation into the effect of Cu additions upon the nano-crystallization behaviour of an Al-Y-Ni alloy. 1 at.% Cu was added to a base alloy of Al/sub 88/Y₄Ni/sub 8/ either by substitution for Al to form Al/sub 87/Y₄Ni/sub 8/Cu₁, or by substitution for Ni to form Al/sub 88/Y₄Ni/sub 7/Cu₁. Consistent with previous findings in the literature, the substitution of Cu for Al was found to increase the thermal stability of the amorphous phase whereas the substitution of Cu for Ni was found to decrease its thermal stability. Comparing the microstructures of these alloys after heat treatment to produce equivalent volume fractions of Al nanocrystals showed average grain sizes of 14 nm, 12 nm and 9 nm for the alloys Al/sub 88/Y₄Ni/sub 8/, Al/sub 87/Y₄Ni/sub 8/Cu₁respectively. The effect of Cu in refining the size of the nanocrystals was attributed to enhanced nucleation increasing the number density of the nanocrystals, rather than diffusion limited or interface limited growth.

  • To obtain bronze with good mechanical properties and high wear resistance, a new bronze (CADZ) is proposed on the basis of various fundamental information. The CADZ consists of the elements Al10.5, Fe4.2, Sn3.7 and Ni3.1, and its design is based on Cu-Al10.5 alloy. The Cu-10.5%Al is very hard and brittle. To obtain the high material ductility of the Cu-10.5%Al alloy, an attempt was made to add a few percent of Sn. Moreover, to make high strength of the Cu alloy, microstructure with small grains was created by the proper amount of Fe and Ni (Fe/Ni = 0.89). The mechanical properties of the CADZ sample have been examined experimentally, and those were compared with commercial bronzes. The tensile strength and wear resistance of CADZ are higher than those for commercial bronzes. Although the ductility of CADZ is the lower level, the strain to failure of CADZ is about 2.0~5.0% higher than that for the Cu-Al10.5 alloy. Details of the microstructural effects on the mechanical properties in the CADZ sample were further discussed using various experimental results.

  • Author measured the bonding strength between Dental Porcelain and Nonprecious Dental Alloy and analyzed diffusion Phenomena at the interfaceby by Auger electron spectroscopy and also Electron spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis. The each specimen was sputtered with Al, Cr, In and Sn. 1. Ni whic is the main element of the matris of dental nonprecious alloy diffuse more than the other element and the Ni diffusion rate of each specimen was well coordinated with the bonding strength of each. 2. The Sn thin film suppress the diffusion rate of Ni of matrix into the Dental Porcelain than the In or Cr thin films. 3. The Al thin film suppress the diffusion rate of Ni than the Sn thin film. 4. The main coponent of dental porcelain : Al, Si, Mo diffused into the matrix of alloy. It means that the each element of dental alloy and dental porelain diffused into the each other part.

  • In this work, we made the precision thin film resistors of NiCr alloy (74wt%Ni-f18wt%Cr-4wt%Al-4wt%Cu) using DC/RF magnetron sputtering method and studied the sheet resistance and TCR(Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) etc... of the Ni-Cr-Al-Cu alloy thin film according to the change by annealing treatment to 400$\^{C}$ in air and nitrogen atmosphere and the change(power, pressure, substrate temperature) of sputtering process.

용융탄산염내에서의 NiAl합금의 내식성에 미치는 Yttrium의 첨가 영향 (The Effect of Yttrium on Corrosion Behavior of NiAl Intermetallic Compound in the Molten Carbonate Salt)

  • 용융탄산염 연료전지는 $650^{\circ}C$의 부식성이 강한 용융탄산염내에서 작동되므로, 분리판 재료로 사용되고 있는 316L 스테인레스강의 부식은 용융탄산염 연료전지의 수명을 단축시키는 주요한 원인이다. 특히 분리판 wet-seal부의 부식은 보다 심각한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 AI계 합금이 피복재료로 사용되어 왔지만, 본 연구에서는 보다 우수한 분리판 wet-seal부의 내식 피복재료 개발을 위하여 피복재료인 NiAI 합금에 산화 활성화 원소인 yttrium을 최고 1.5 at%까지 첨가하였다. $650^{\circ}C$의 용융탄산염내에서 yttium 함량에 따른 NiAI/Y 합금의 침지부식실험 및 분극실험을 통하여 내식성을 평가하고 부식 억제를 위해 가장 적절한 NiAI/Y 피복 재료의조성을 결정한 결과 최소의 yttrium 조성은 0.7 at% 임을 알 수 있었다.

나노크기 Ni-Fe 합금입자 분산${Al_2}{O_3}$ 나노복합재료의 합성 및 특성 (Synthesis and Properties of Nano-sized Ni-Fe Alloy Particle Dispersed ${Al_2}{O_3}$Nanocomposite)

  • An optimum route to fabricate the $A1_2O_3/Fe-Ni$ alloy nanocomposites with sound microstructure and enhanced mechanical properties as well as magnetism was investigated. To prepare homogeneous nanocomposite powders of Fe-Ni alloy and $Al_2O_3$, the solution-chemistry routes using $Al_2O_3 \; Ni(NO_3)_2{\cdot}6H_2O$ and $Fe(NO_3)_3{\cdot}9H_2O$ powders were applied. Microstructural observation of the powder mixture revealed that the Fe-Ni alloy particles of about 20 nm in size were homogeneously surrounded $A1_2O_3$, forming nanocomposite powder. The hot-pressed composite showed improved fracture toughness and magnetic response. These results suggest that the synergy materials with an improved mechanical properties and excellent functionality can be fabricated by controlled powder preparation and consolidation processing.

전기선 폭발법에 의하여 제조된 Al-Ni 합금 나노분말의 선택적 침출 (The Selective Leaching of Al-Ni Alloy Nano Powders Prepared by Electrical Wire Explosion)

  • Al-Ni alloy nano powders have been produced by the electrical explosion of Ni-plated Al wire. The porous nano particles were prepared by leaching for Al-Ni alloy nano powders in 20wt% NaOH aqueous solution. The structural properties of leached porous nano powder were investigated by nitrogen physisorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission Microscope (TEM). The surface areas of the leached powders were increased with amounts of AI in alloys. The pore size distributions of these powders were exhibited maxima at range of pore diameters 3.0 to 3.5 nm from the desorption isotherm. The maximum values of those were decreased with amounts of Al in alloys.

PWA 1426 합금에서 Al-Si 코팅층의 미세조직 (Microstructure of Al-Si Coated Layer in PWA 1426 Alloy)

  • Microstructure of Al-Si coated PWA 1426 alloy was studied. Diffusion coated specimens were heat treated for 4hr at $870{\sim}1087^{\circ}C$ and then were examined the changes of microstructure and interfacial compound by optical microscopy, SEM and EDS. According to the result of EDS, it is supposed that the coated layer was composed of $Ni_2Al_3$. When diffusion treatment was conducted at $1087^{\circ}C$, coated layer varied from $Ni_2Al_3$ to NiAl phase and composed of mixed, denuded and inter-diffusion layer.
