MBF-30을 사용한 Inconel-625/Ni-201 브레이징 접합부의 인장성질에 미치는 접합조건의 영향 (Effect of Brazing Condition on Tensile Properties in Brazing Joints of Inconel-625/Ni-201 Using MBF-30)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of bonding temperature and holding time on microstructure and mechanical properties in brazing joints of Ni-base superalloy using MBF-30 (Ni-4.5Si-3.2B [wt.%]). The heating rate was $20^{\circ}C$/min to the bonding temperatures $1050^{\circ}C$, $1070^{\circ}C$, $1090^{\circ}C$ under high vacuum condition. The holding times were 100s, 400s, 900s and 1600s. $Ni_3B$ phases and proeutectic Ni were observed in the interlayer of Ni-201. Then, Ni3B and Ni3Si were found in the middle region of brazing joint. Cr-boride phase appeared in the interlayer of Inconel-625. Tensile strength and elongation were decreased at $1050^{\circ}C$-1600s, $1070^{\circ}C$-900s and $1090^{\circ}C$-400s. After observation the fracture specimens, There was Ni3B which is very brittle phase in the grain boundary of Ni201.

  • 크롬대체도금으로 개발 추진되고 있는 전기Ni-W합금도금피막은 경질크롬 도금피막보다도 고온에서 경도 및 내 산성이 우수하고, 유리성형용 금형으로 사용되고 있다. 최근 일본에서는 지금까지의 무전해Ni-W-P합금피막에 비해서 텅스텐, 인의 함유율이 높고, 질산 이외의 염산, 황산의 산성 환경과 암모니아, 수산화나트륨 등의 알칼리성 환경에서도 부식이나 변색이 생기지 않는 무전해Ni-W-P합금도금기술을 크롬도금을 대체하는 도금으로서 개발하고 있다.

구리 첨가가 Ni-MILC에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구 (Effects of Cu addition in Ni-MILC)

  • It has been well known that Ni-MILC TFTs are acceptable for operation of LCD devices but still decrease of annealing temperature is desirable for the future devices like LCD on the plastic substrate. In this work, Cu was added to Ni-MILC in an attempt to lower the annealing temperature and enhance the MILC rate. It has been found that even small amount of Cu addition enhances the MlLC rate considerably. Also well One MILC can be distinguished from island type, which cannot be observed in pure Ni-MILC. Poly TFTs were fabricated with Cu/Ni-MILC and the effects of copper addition on the electrical properties were carefully investigated.

Magnetic Properties of Ni/BN/Co Trilayer Structure: A First Principles Study

  • Using the Vienna ab initio simulation package (VASP) incorporating both semiempirical and nonlocal van der Waals interaction, the structural, adsorption, and magnetic properties of Ni/BN/Co systems were investigated. We proposed that the relative spin direction of Ni and Co magnets can be easily tuned, because the total energy difference between ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) states is small. Despite this feature, very interestingly, both Ni and Co layers manifest half-metallic state, whereas the spacer BN layer becomes weak metal for one monolayer (ML) thickness and an insulating barrier for two ML thicknesses. The half-metallic behavior of the magnetic layers seems very robust, because it is independent of the magnetic coupling between Ni and Co. This finding indicates that the Ni/BN/Co system can be used as a potential candidate for tunneling magnetoresistance system.

Parametric study for enhanced performance of Cu and Ni electrowinning

  • In this study, we performed an electrowinning process for effective removal of metals (Cu and Ni) in solution and their recovery as solid forms. A complete removal of Cu and Ni (1,000 mg/L) was observed during four times recycling test, indicating that our electrowinning system can ensure the efficient metal removal with high stability and durability. In addition, we investigated effect of operation parameters (i.e., concentration of boric acid only for Ni, variation of pH, concentration of electrolyte ($H_2SO_4$), and cell voltage) on the efficiency of metal removal (Cu and Ni) during the electrowinning. The addition of boric acid significantly enhanced removal efficiency of Ni as the concentration of boric acid increased up to 10 g/L. Compared to negligible pH effect (pH 1, 2, and 4) on the Cu removal, we observed the increase in removal efficiency of Ni as the pH increased from 1 to 4. The electrolyte concentration did not significantly influence the removal of Cu and Ni in this study. We also obtained great removal rates of Cu and Ni at 2.5 V and 4.0 V, which were much faster than those at lower voltages. Finally, almost 99% of each Cu and Ni (1,000 mg/L) was selectively removed from the mixture of metals by adjusting pH and addition of boric acid after the completion of Cu removal. The findings in this study can provide a fundamental knowledge about effect of important parameters on the efficiency of metal recovery during the electrowinning.

  • $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ ferrite powders were prepared by self-propagating high temperature synthesis followed by classified by ultrasonic wet-magnetic separation method to get nano-sized particles with high purity. The $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ ferrites were well formed by using several powders like iron, nickel oxide, zinc oxide and magnesium oxide at 0.1 MPa of oxygen pressure. The ultrasonic wet-magnetic separation of pre-mechanical milled ferrite powders produced the powders with average size of $3.7-0.8{\mu}m$. The addition of a surfactant during the separation process improved productivity more than twice. The coercive force, maximum magnetization and residual magnetization of the $Mg_xNi_yZn_{1-x-y}Fe_2O_4$ nano-powders with 810 nm size were 45.89 Oe, 53.92 emu/gOe, 0.4 emu/Oe, respectively.

Si3N4장벽층을 이용한 경사형 모서리 접합의 터널링 자기저항 특성 (Tunneling Magnetoresistance of a Ramp-edge Type Junction With Si3N4 Barrier)

  • 경사형 모서리접합을 이용한 터널링 자기저항(tunneling magnetoresistance; TMR) 특성을 연구하였다. 박막 증착과 식각은 스퍼터링과 사이크로트론 전자공명 (electron cyclotron resonance; ECR) 장치를 각각 사용하였다. Si$_3$N$_4$ 장벽층을 이용한 접합의 다층구조는 NiO(60)/Co(10)/NiO(60)/Si$_3$N$_4$(2-6)/NiFe(10) (nm)이었다. 상하부 반강자성체 NiO에 삽입된 wedged 형태의 고정층 Co와 장벽층 Si$_3$N$_4$위에 경사진 비대칭 구조에서 자유층 NiFe간의 접합에서 일어나는 특이한 스핀의존 터널링 현상이 관찰되었다. 외부자장이 0Oe일 때와 접합경계선에 수직방향으로 90Oe일 때 측정한 접합소자의 전류전압특성 곡선이 현저하게 구별되어 나타났다. TMR의 인가 전압의존성은 $\pm$10 V일 때도 약 -10%을 유지하는 매우 안정된 자기저항 특성을 보여주었다.
