(Phenol-Formaldehyde-Aniline 중합체)-Nickel(Ⅱ) Nitrate 구조에 관한 연구 (Structural Characters of (Phenol-Formaldehyde-Aniline Polymer)-Nickel(Ⅱ) Nitrate)

  • In this study, an aniline modified Bakelite-A resine was synthesized by polymerizing phenol, formaldehyde and aniline. Structural properties of the polymer were examined by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and vapour pressure osmometry. By visible spectroscopy, it was found that nitrogens of amine groups in the polymer are strongly coordinated to Ni(Ⅱ). Also a nitrate ion-selective PVC membrane electrode based on the polymer-Ni(Ⅱ) complex as ion carrier was preparaed. The electrode gave a linear response with a Nernstian slope within the concentration range $10^{-1}$ M∼$10^{-4}$M $KNO_3$.

  • For double arrays of constants ${a_{ni},\;1{\leq}i{\leq}k_n,\;n{\geq}1}$ and sequences of negatively orthant dependent random variables ${X_n,\;n{\geq}1}$, the conditions for strong law of large number of ${\sum}^{k_n}_{i=1}a_{ni}X_i$ are given. Both cases $k_n{\uparrow}{\infty}\;and\;k_n={\infty}$ are treated.

  • Metal-Induced Crystallization (MIC) of amorphous silicon (a-Si) using aluminum and nickel as catalysts were performed with a variation of metal thickness and temperature. Raman results showed that the crystallization of a-Si depended on the thickness of aluminum while not on nickel. Nickel that forms silicide nodules during annealing simply catalyzed the formation of crystalline silicon (c-Si) while aluminum was consumed and transferred during MIC, which resulted in more complex microstructural characteristics. Crystalline silicons after NIC had elongated shape with a twin along the long axis. Morphological change after Aluminum-Induced Crystallization (AIC) showed more equiaxial grains. The nucleation and growth mechanism of AIC was discussed.

NTAㆍNi2+-Functionalized Quantum Dots for VAMP2 Labeling in Live Cells

  • An efficient method for labeling individual proteins in live cells is required for investigations into biological mechanisms and cellular processes. Here we describe the preparation of small quantum dots (QDs) that target membrane surface proteins bearing a hexahistidine-tag ($His_6$-tag) via specific binding to an nitrilotriacetic acid complex of nickel(II) ($NTA{\cdot}Ni^{2+}$) on the QD surfaces. We showed that the $NTA{\cdot}Ni^{2+}$-QDs bound to His-tag functionalized beads as a cellular mimic with high specificity and that QDs successfully targeted $His_6$-tagged vesicle-associated membrane proteins (VMAP) on cell surfaces. This strategy provides an efficient approach to monitoring synaptic protein dynamics in spatially restricted and confined biological environments.

Recycling of chelating agents after extraction of heavy metals contaminated in soil

  • Heavy metals such as Cu, Ni, Cd, and Pb were chemically extract from the contaminated soils using the chelating agents, EDTA and DTPA. These chemical extraction have been focused on its applicability to a wide range of soils. Results of extractive efficiency for heavy metal follow the order : Cu-EDTA $\geq$ Ni-EDTA > Pb-EDTA > Cd-EDTA > Cu-DTPA> Pb-DTPA. This result is coincided with order of conditional formation constants(Kr) of metal-chelate agent. The second study involved the recovery of the metals and EDTA from complex solutions by an electromembrane process. The overall processes of regeneration, recovery, and reuse were evaluated. The electrochemical studies showed that copper could be chosen as an electrode to plate Cd, Cu, and Pb. At least 95% of 75 of EDTA and associated Cu or Pb could be recovered by the electromembrane process. Recovery of Cd by electodeposition was not possible with the copper electrode. The percent EDTA recovery is equal to the percentage of metal electroplated from the chelates.

고주파 Chip-Inductor용 NCZF 전자기적 특성 (Electric and Magnetic Properties of NCZF for High Frequency Chip-Inductor)

  • We have studied properties(crystal structure, density, absorption, contraction, initial permeability, and permeability) of Ni$_{0.175-x}$Cu$_{x}$Zn$_{0.33}$Fe$_{0.495}$ (x=0~0.175) ferrites with various NiO and CuO, because of development of materials for high frequency inductor. The XRD peaks of all of samples were observed only spine이 phase. As a results of the density, absorption rate, and shrinkage rate, the grain growth progressed rapidly in x=0.1 at 95$0^{\circ}C$, x=0.075 at 105$0^{\circ}C$, and x=0.025 at 115$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. Initial permeability increased with increasing CuO concentration until x=0.1, and then decreased. The complex permeability as a function frequency were high values at sintered 105$0^{\circ}C$ fotr3 hours in x=0.075, 0.1., 0.1.1.

Synthesis and Crystal Structures of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) Metal Complexes with NNO Functionalized Ligands

  • Some new metal(II) complexes, $M^{II}L_2$ [M = Mn (1), Co (2), Ni (3), Cu (4), and Zn (5)] of 2-acetylpyridine benzoylhydrazone ligand (HL) containing trifunctional NNO-donor system have been synthesized and crystallographically characterized for the complex 1 and 5. The complexes consist of two ligands to give sixcoordinate, which are bonded to the metal atom on a meridional plane through acetylpyridine ring nitrogen, azomethine nitrogen, and benzoyl oxygen atoms, respectively. The coordination geometry for other complexes was identified on the basis of the physicochemical data by elemental analyses, FAB -MS, IR, $^1H$ NMR, and electronic spectral measurements. The resulting data indicated that the complexes are accordance with the above formulation.

  • The crystal structure of Tris(ethylenediamine)nickel(II)Chromate has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data : a=9.027(2)Å, c=9.751(5)Å이며, Z=2, V=687.9(2)Å3, Dc=1.714gcm-3, μ=21.635-1. The intensity were collected with Mo-Kα radiation (λ=0.7107Å) on an automatic four-circle diffractometer with a graphite monochromator. The structure was solved by Patterson method and refined by full matrix least-square methods using unit weights. The final R and S values were R=0.029, Rw=032, Rall=0.049 andS=0.018 for 342 observed reflections. The chromate ions are located at position of point of point symmetry 32 and their oxygens are sixfold disodered in an unusual way. Extensive strong hydrogen bonds between complex cations and chromatic anions are found in axial and equatorial directions.

  • We have studied properties(crystal structure, density, absorption, contraction, initial permeability, and permeability) of Ba$\sub$0.2/Me$\sub$0.31/Fe$\sub$0.49/(Me:Ni$\sub$1-x/, Cu$\sub$x/ x=0~1) ferrites with various Me site, because of development of magnetic materials for inductor. As a results of the density, absorption rate, and shrinkage rate, the sintering temperature of Ba$\sub$0.2/ Me$\sub$0.31/ FEesub 0.49/(Me:Ni$\sub$1-x/ x=0.25, 0.75) had got over 1100$^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. According to SEM images, the configurations of grain were hexagonal, Increasing the sintering temperature, initial Permeability increased. The complex permeabilities as a function of for several MHz showed constants.

THE MICROWAVE ABSORBING CHARACTERISTICS OF FERRITE GRID ABSORBER

  • In order to widen the band-width of ferrite absorber, compositional effect on the complex permeability of Ni-Zn ferrite and the structure of grid absorber were studied. From the experimental results, we could determine the optimum composition composition of Ni-Zn ferrite and the structure of grid absorber. Also, we manufactured grid absorber and investigated its microwave absorbing characteristics. Calculation shows that the ferrite frid absorber suppresses reflection ${\leq}-20dB$ from 30 MHz to 700 MHz and the conventional ferrite tile absorber suppresses reflection ${\leq}20dB$ in the frequency range of 30 MHz-400 MHz. It was found that the microwave absorbing performance of the ferrite grid absorber was superior to the ferrite tile absorber.
