  • The yoke is used for joining the mechanical element of a spider and shaft in the steering system of automobiles. Conventional yoke forming processes are too complicated such as 4 stages bending and forming. The weight of yoke is also heavy than other components. New process is necessary to reduce the product weight to improve the strength and to reduce the costs. Process designed to reduce number of forming stages and to reduce its weight. To check the strength the stress analyses are performed between conventional yoke and developed one.

Two new records of orb-weaving spiders with a new species (Araneae: Araneidae) from Korea

  • Araneidae Clerck, 1757 is one of the largest families within the order Araneae Clerck, 1757, comprising 3,065 species in 177 genera. To date, two species of the genus Mengora O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1889 and four species of the genus Araniella Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 have been recorded in Korea. During a seasonal survey of the spider fauna in mountainous terrain conducted from 2018 to 2019, females of Mangora foliosa Zhu & Yin, 1998 and a male of Araniella robusta sp. nov. were collected with a sweep net between shrubs in mixed forests from Mt. Juwangsan National Park. In this paper, we provide a diagnosis of the new species and descriptions including measurements and morphological illustrations. The new species, Araniella robusta sp. nov., can be easily distinguished from other species in the genus Araniella Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 by a branched conductor with two blunt tips and conjugation of the embolus tip and terminal apophysis.

점박이응애 야외개체군의 살비제 저항성 모니터링 (Monitoring of Acaricide Resistance in Field-Collected Populations of Tetranychus urticae (Acari: Tetranychidae) in Korea)

  • 전국 8개 지역별 각 사과원에서 채집된 점박이응애(Tetranychus urticae Koch)에 대한 저항성 정도를 일본 감수성 계통과 비교한 결과 지역별 현저한 감수성 차이를 보였다. Azocyclotin, fenpropathrin, propargite 및 abamectin에 대해서는 낮거나 중간 정도의 저항성을, dicofol, fenpyroximate 및 pyridaben에 대해서는 높은 저항성을 나타내었다. 이들 계통은 한종 또는 두종 이상의 약제에 대해 감수성을 보여 특정 지역에 대해서는 적당한 살비제의 선택적 이용으로 점박이응애를 효과적으로 방제할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 신규 살충성화합물의 개발을 위한 생물검정법 확립의 일환으로 수종의 곤충을 이용하여 침지시간, 약제처리 방법, 공시충의 종간 및 발육태에 따른 살충제의 감수성을 조사하였다. 침지시간, 처리방법, 공시충의 종간 및 발육태에 따라 살충력에 현저한 차이를 보였는데, 침지시간은 엽침지법에서 약 30~60초 침지처리에서 효과가 좋았으며 60초 이상 침지처리에서는 식물체의 내용물이 용출되어 바람직하지 않았다. 처리방법은 콩진딧물과 복숭아혹진딧물 무시암컷, 배추좀나방과 담배거세미나방 3령유충은 엽침지법, 벼멸구 3령약충 또는 성충과 벼유묘 동시분무법, 점박이응애는 엽침지법 또는 분무법이 효과적인 처리방법이었다. 키틴합성저해제의 검정은 벼멸구의 경우 3령약충, 배추좀나방과 담배거세미나방 3령유충, 진딧물류 3령약충 및 점박이응애 유충을 약제가 분무처리된 유묘에 접종하여 검정하는 방법이 적합하였다.

  • 새로운 고활성의 살충성 화합물을 예측하고 설계하기 위하여 N'-phenyl-N-methylformamidine 유도체들의 두점박이 응애(Tetranychus urticae)에 대한 살충활성과 물리-화합적인 설명인자들 사이의 2차원적인 정량적 구조-활성관계(2D-QSAR)와 분자 홀로그래피적인 정량적 구조-활성관계(HQSAR)를 구체적으로 검토하였다. 2D-QSAR 모델(1 및 3)로부터 입체적인 요소로서 $R_3$-치환기의 폭($B_2$)과 $R_4$-치환기의 적정한 전체 쌍극자능율값(TDM=2.025 D)이 살충활성에 주로 영향을 미쳤으며 살충활성은 $R_3$- 및 $R_4$-치환기들에 의존적이었다. 특히, 2D-QSAR 모델(3)과 HQSAR 모델 F2에 의하여 설계된 새로운 유력한 활성화합물(P1; $EC_{50}$=0.516 ppm)의 살충활성은 Amitraz에 비하여 약 34.3배 높을 것으로 예측되었다.

  • 코뿔애접시거미속 (Walckenaeria)의 3종, 내장애접시거미 (Walckenaeria chikunii), 북방애접시거미 (Walckenaeria furcillata), 계곡애접시거미 (Walckenaeria ichifusaensis), 를 한국미기록종으로 보고한다. 북방애접시거미 (W. furcillata)는 구북구에 널리 분포하고 있으나, 내장애접시거미 (W. chikunii)와 계곡애접시거미 (W. ichifusaensis)는 일본내의 모식산지에서만 알려져 있다. 사진과 진단형질의 그림을 첨부하였다.

  • From the past to the future, the great nature has been long standing good text and has never been behind the fashion. All problems of human being had been occured and been solved by 'Lives' and the biological chemistry ststem which are inside the nature. They say that "Ecology is the applications of biological shape in man made system design." We should find out the basic principles of nature and apply to the necessity of study. Biology, Ecology, and the other relational theory of design have abundant sources of idea in which designers can take new policy and creativities. When designers design new products they should consider socialogy and psychological circumstances that are related to them, and should find out various possibilities trying to contact biological systems and ecological systems which are chosen in the nature. The seed of ash samara can be applied to firehydrant for mountain on fire and application of the spider's web can lead to the device for road work. As soon as possible, we should find out the methods introducing the nautre which supplies infinite sources of idea to the basic theory of design.of design.

Two New Records of Sac Spiders including a New Species (Araneae: Clubionidae) from Korea

  • The genus Clubiona Latreille, 1804 is the most diverse and largest one in the family Clubionidae Wagner, 1887. Twenty-nine species of the genus have been described in various ecosystems from Korea to date. Clubiona semicircularis Tang, Song and Zhu, 2005 which was formerly only known in China and Clubiona ansa n. sp. were collected with a sweep net on the foliage of the shrubs in mixed forests from mountains and agricultural landscape during a seasonal survey of the spider fauna in Korea. This study describes these two species with a diagnosis, measurements, and morphological illustrations. In addition, the female of C. semicircularis is described with a diagnosis for the first time from the present study.

  • The tactile sensor of the future robot is becoming a necessity as a sensory organ which can communicate with the person most directly. Recently, the Nature-inspired technology has provided a new direction for the development of these tactile sensors. Here, we review three different nature-inspired tactile sensory system; high sensitivity pressure sensor inspired by beetle wings, highly sensitive strain sensor inspired by the spider's sensory organs, Tactile sensor inspired by human fingertip. These nature-inspired tactile sensors are expected to provide a breakthrough that not only can sensitively measure the pressure, but also delicately recognize the softness and texture of the material just like human.
