Pennisetum flaccidum Griseb. (Poaceae) is native to Central Asia. While monitoring Poaceae weeds nationwide in Korea, we found its new naturalized distribution in Gunsan, Jeonrabuk-do. The species is distinguished from P. alopecuroides var. alopecuroides by subsessile involucres and plumose bristles. We provide the first documented record of P. flaccidum Griseb. for Korea with the description and illustration. We also provide a taxonomic key to the species of Pennisetum in Korea.

Here we reported two unrecorded naturalized species from Korean flora. Andropogon virginicus L. of Graminaeae and Euphorbia postrata Aiton of Euphorbiaceae are collected from Dong-gu, Ulsan-si and Sinjindo-ri, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do respectively. A. virginicus L. was easily distinguishable from Themeda triandras var. japonica Makino by keel on glume, 2-4 racemes and long hairy rachis. Thus, the new Korean name, 'Na-do-sol-sae', was given. E. postrata Aiton was cleary distinguished from related taxa by hairs on only edges of fruits. The new Korean name, 'Nu-un-ttang-bin-dae' was given considering the species epithet. Descriptions, illustrations and photographs showing habitat were given.

Recent herbarium reexamination and field studies yielded two monocotyledonous plant taxa of the family Poaceae that could be documented in the national inventory list of species of Korea. These species, collected from Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, were introduced and naturalized in Korea. Two species were identified as Holcus mollis L. and Aira elegantissima Schur. We provided the descriptions and descriptive photos of these species. Keys to the newly recorded species and related taxa were also provided.

Two naturalized species, Carduus natans L. and Lepidium latifolium L. were newly reported from Korea. Carduus natans, "Sa-hyang-ung-gung-kwi", was found from Nanjido, Seoul, and Yangsuri and Naejangri, Gyunggi-do. It is distinguished from widely naturalized C. crispus by having large nodding heads (30-60mm in diameter) and acuminate lanceolate involucral bracts. Lepidium latifolium, "Keun-ki-da-dag-naeng-i", was found from Noeul Park, Nanjido, Seoul. It is distinguished from the related species by having tall height (about 1 m), subsessile upper leaves, pinnately lobed lower leaves, and corymbose inflorescence.

One new naturalized species was recorded from Jeollanam-do Yeongam-gun, Daegu, and Daejeon in Korea. Hedyotis corymbosa grows well where there is enough sunlight; in moist, sandy soil. Hedyotis corymbosa (Rubiaceae) can be distinguished from other species in the same genus by longer peduncles, and a lot of flowers. We gave it the Korean name 'San-bang-back-un-pul' based on the specific epithet 'corymbosa'.

Two new naturalized species, Amaranthus hybridus and Crepis tectorum, are reported here. Descriptions and illustrations of the species and comparison of morphology with related species are provided. Amaranthus hybridus was first found at Nanjido, Seoul and is widely distributed in the central and southern part of Korean peninsula. New Korean name is given as "Ginteolbireum". It is well distinguished from the related species, A. retroflexus and A. patulus, by its late flowering time (September to October), sparse hair on the leaves, similar length between tepal and fruit, and long inflorescence without division. Crepis tectorum was first found at the entrance of Weoljeongsa Temple in Pyongchang-gun, Gangwon-do and spreads rapidly to other areas. New Korean name is given as "Nadomindulle".

Three naturalized taxa in Korea such as Scleranthus annuus L., Verbena bonariensis L. and Hordeum jubatum L. were newly recorded. Short descriptions and illustrations for the these species were provided. Especially, Scleranthus L. is first recorded as a new genus of Korean flora.

A newly naturalized plant, Viola palmata L., was found in Uljin-gun, Changwon-si, and Yangsan-si. It belongs to the subsect. Boreali-Americanae (W. Becker) Gil-Ad of the sect. Nosphinium W. Becker, which is known to be from North America, with subsequent introduction into Europe. In Korea, this species is considered to have been introduced by freight transportation through the port of Busan, after which its distribution area expanded. We propose the new Korean name 'Chang-won-je-bi-kkot' based on the location at which it was initially collected in Korea. We also provide descriptions of the morphological characters along with photographs, illustrations, and a distribution map of Viola palmata.

A newly naturalized plant, Carex scoparia Schkuhr ex Willd. var. scoparia, was found in Mt. Hanseok, Injegun, Gangwon-do, Korea. It belongs to sect. Ovales Kunth and had been known from North America, and was introduced into Europe and New Zealand. This species distinguished from related taxa in Asia, Carex maackii Maxim. and Carex leporina L., by pistillate scales lanceolate and having large perigynia. We propose the new Korean name, 'Han-seok-sa-cho', based on its first collecting place. We also provide descriptions for morphological characters, illustrations, photographs and keys to allied taxa.
