  • In order to improve the reliability of power service and the effective management of distribution power system. DAS (Distribution Automation system) is widely used in KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) branch offices. Based on the present protective device coordination program which used in KEPCO. this study presents the new concept about both protective device coordination program maximizing the characteristics of DAS and development plan of protective device auto-coordination program with the merits of DAS.

바일 기기를 위한 확장 문서 포맷의 맵 서비스 (Extended document format map service for mobile device)

  • Mobile network infrastructure is being completed with the development of hardware and software for mobile devices. Network in mobile devices has evolved for telematics that is expanded much more than its existing concept. Telematics is compound word that is formed from the words "telecommunication" and "informatics". It means that telematics performs control and monitoring service with using mobile device resources. These services provide their services for users' requests through wired or wireless network from mobile devices and server that offers contents and network service collects management information of mobile devices. Map service is one of the preferred services for many telematics users. However, mobile map service has a limit between traffic and information sharing. Therefore it is very important to supply their information for both service provider and terminal user. In this paper, we design a new interactive sketch map using routes and information on the space to be applied effectively, and provide an extended document format that is defined to an extensible and dynamic clustering scheme to have portability map service for mobile device.

  • This paper discribes the design concept, fabrication process and measuring result of 2.5kV Gate Commutated Thyristor devices. Integrated gate commutated thyristors(IGCTs) is the new power semiconductor device used for high power inverter, converter, static var compensator(SVC) etc. Most of the ordinary GTOs(gate turn-off thyristors) are designed as non-punch-through(NPT) concept; i.e. the electric field is reduced to zero within the N-base region. In this paper, we propose transparent anode structure for fast turn-off characteristics. And also, to reach high breakdown voltage, we used 2-stage bevel structure. Bevel angle is very important for high power devices, such as thyristor structure devices. For cathode topology, we designed 430 cathode fingers. Each finger has designed $200{\mu}m$ width and $2600{\mu}m$ length. The breakdown voltage between cathode and anode contact of this fabricated GCT device is 2,715V.

  • 기존의 유닉스 시스템에서는 모든 장치의 구동기가 커널 내부에 구현되어 있다. 따라서, 새로운 장치를 지원하기 위한 구동기를 추가하거나 기존의 구동기를 변경할 경우 커널 내부의 수정 작업이 불가피하다. 일반적으로 유닉스 시스템에서는 커널내 부의 수정 작업이 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 어려움을 극복하기 위한 방법 으로써 사용자 수준의 단말기 구동기 모델을 제시한다. 제시한 모델의 기본 개념은 단말기 구동기를 사용자 수준의 서버로 구현함으로써 새로운 단말기 구동기의 동적 재구성을 제공하는 것이다. 제시한 모델의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 사용자 수준의 단말기 구동기를 SunOS 와 Linux 환경에서 구현하고, 그 성능을 평가하였다.

  • The application of laser direct etching has been discussed, and believed that the process is a very powerful method for micro machining. This study is focused on the micro patterning technology using laser direct etching process with no chemical damage of the material surface. A new introduced concept of energy synergy effect for surface micro machining is the combination of chemically ion reaction and laser thermal process. The etchant can't etch the material in room temperature, and used Ar laser has not power enough to machine. But, the machining is occurred in local area of the material by the combined energy. Using this process, the material is especially prevented from chemical damage for electric property. We have tested this new concept, and achieved a line with $1{mu}m$ width. The Ar laser with 488nm wavelength was used. The material was Si(100) wafer, and etchant is KOH solution. The application and flexibility of this process is in great hopes for MEMS structures and fabrication of the micro electric device parts.

  • Skilled typists can type characters or wrds without looking at keyboard, relying on the finger´s relative position. If the relative positions of the fingers can be identified, a virtual keyboard may be accomplished by applying the concept of "DataGlove" or "FingerRing". The virtual keyboard may be efficient as a new mobile input device supporting QWERTY keyboard layout. For the purpose of investigating skilled typing pattern, in this paper the touch-positions of the fingers are measured with a touchscreen while four skilled typists type a long sentence. From these measurements it can be observed that the groups of touch-positions are classified into alphabet characters.   • The Rolling Stock pursues more safe, speedy and accurate operation on the increment of the passenger and the short headway. Signalling system is providing an assurance on safety and reliability of the system, which is based on fail-safe concept. Therefore we are willing to study up on MMI device for new onboard ATP/ATO equipment which is used for driver to recognize train status and fault more quickly and to solve any problem more rapidly, which can maximize the stability and reliability of the system.

  • 일정한 크기의 마찰력을 도입한 가새(FSB)는 에너지를 소산시키는 효과적인 구조 부재이며, 가새의 축력이 마찰력을 넘지 않을 때까지만 탄성 거동을 한다. 본 연구에서는 FSB 개념을 보다 확장시켜서 가새를 죄는 마찰력의 크기를 능동적으로 변화시킬 수 있는 능동 조임 마찰 가새(AFSB)를 착상하여 단자유도 구조물에 적용하고 조화 하중으로 기진시켜 그 거동을 시뮬레이션 하여 FSB와 비교 분석해본다. 이를 위해 간단하고 효과적인 알고리즘을 개발해보았다. 연구 결과, 지반 가속도 값이 그다지 크지 않은 경우, AFSB는 초기에 오우버슈팅이 발생하는 문제만 제외하고 FSB에 비해 효과적으로 진폭과 밑면 전단력을 감소시켰다.

  • A force reflecting hand controller can be used to provide more realistic information to the operator of a teleoperation system such as kinesthetic feedback from a slave robot. In this paper, a new design concept of a force reflecting 6-DOF hand controller utilizing the kinematic structure of a Stewart Platform is presented. Based on the optimal design technique of a Stewart Platform, a force reflecting hand controller has been designed and constructed to verify the technical feasibility of proposed design concept. In order to provide an operator with kinesthetic feedback information, a force mapping algorithm based on a reciprocal product of screws has been introduced. Finally, the technical feasibility of the design concept has been demonstrated through some of experimental results of the device under virtual environment on a real-time graphic system.
