  • In this study, we developed a new methodology. That is Cross effects type dicho-hierarchy process(CEDHP) model, which determines priorities of project alternatives through evaluating project alternatives as the dicho-hierarchy composed of the strategy and technology field, and estimating cross effects as the cross-impacts between projects completion times.

  • In today's rural area, diverse community has formed with the progress of urbanization, congestion, underpopulation, and aging according to the change of socio-economic conditions. In this situation, local residents are cooperating to overcome many problems about rural society. That is, various counterplans are established to induce the forming of new ural society in the aim for the development of rural area and promotion project of rural area. In this text, the effects for events of rural society and future directions are suggested by studying the case of Pyongchang, Kangwon-Do.

  • [ $\lceil\;Cost Effectiveness Analysis\;\rfloor$ ] has been widely used to evaluate effectiveness of R&D resources. But, almost of cost effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems, especially estimating method of effect on R&D project is very rough and imprecise. To solve this problem, we have designed new single effect evaluation system, which are able to apply the distribution of order statistics and to transform relative measure into absolute measure for getting single effect.

  • The completion of the rough draft of the human genome is a remarkable achievement. It provides the overall structures of huge DNA molecules that constitute the genome and an outline of the information needed to create a human being. This paper reviewed new ideas, projects, and scientific advances made by the Human Genome Project. We also discussed the future of medicine and biomedical research in postgenomic era.

  • As the first assembly of the human genome was announced on June 26, 2000, we have entered post genome era. The genome sequence represents a new starting point for science and medicine with possible impact on research across the life sciences. In this review I tried to offer brief summaries of history and progress of the Human Genome Project and two major challenges ahead, functional genomics and DNA sequence variation research.

  • In practicing the refinement project of agriuctural production basys, many researches have been done until now, but they are not reused because management is not easily accomplished. We analysed and designed the Components of refinement project by the object -orientation technique, and presented a method of accumulation and management of object's data using relational database. In result, management of new data is easy and reusibility are increased compared to structural analysis technique.

  • The goal of the project is to study and describe a new stressed state of High Temperature Superconducting (High-Tc) YBCO Films, to create of SQUIDs on the bases of these Films with maximal sensitivity. The problems of the project are: 1. The experimental studying of the stressed films growing by laser ablation method. 2. The studying of stressed film properties. 3. The making of the dc-SQUIDs with maximal sensitivity on the bases of the stressed YBCO films.

  • In response to the changing demands of ever competitive market, SK Telecom has built a new marketing system that can support dynamic marketing campaigns and, at the same time, scale up to the large volumes of data and transactions for the next decade. The system which employs Unix-based client-server (using Web browser interfaces) architecture will replace the current mainframe-based COIS system. The project, named NGM (Next Generation Marketing ), is unprecedentedly large in scale. However, both managerial and technical problems led the project into a crisis. The application framework that depended on a software solution from a major global vendor could not support the dynamic functionalities required for the new system. In March 2005, SK telecom declared the suspension of the NGM project. The second phase of the project started in May 2005 following a comprehensive replanning. It was decided that no single existing solution could cope with the complexity of the new system and hence the new system would be custom-built. As such. a number of technical challenges emerged. In this paper, we report on the three key dimensions of technical challenges - middleware and application framework, database architecture and tuning, and system performance. The processes and approaches, adopted in building NGM system, may be viewed as "best practices" in the telecom industry. The completed NGM system, now called "U.key System," successfully came into operation on the ninth of October, 2006. This new infrastructure is expected to give birth to a series of innovative, fruitful, and customer-oriented applications in the near future.

  • This paper analyzes the pubic nature of New Genre Public Arts. It is very sensitive to the social issues and supports democracy and communities with the diverse civic participation. Therefore, it is be widely known without doubt that new genre public arts is more public in nature compared to the previous public arts. This research observes the practices of new genre public art and focuses on the problems of the revealing nature of new genre public art through the analysis of the interrelations among government, artists, and the residents by through observation on the , Seoul City Gallery project from October 2008 to January 2009. The implementation of the project is divided into three constituent parts: local government for funding, artists for planning and implementing, and residents. Local government supports and commands the public art works to create more competitive and harmonious city. Artists emphasize the revitalization of community and take the residents as the passive objects of enlightenment. Whereas, the residents hope to use the funds to improve economic conditions. Artists accept the top-down commands of government, whereas residents tend to passively participate and become objects for enlightenment by artists, after all, might be alienated by the project. These kinds of communications and relationships raise the issue of the possibility of failure of public arts projects.

  • New town development project which has manifold operations is usually on a large scale and its spin-off spreads widely. Although international new town development market is widely increasing, new town development market in Korea is now decreasing. Thus, Korean public new town development company which has a lot of business experiences in local new town development market is now facing the necessity of making a foray. This study had a Focus Group Interview with people who experienced in international construction market to set up the core factors of international new town development market. After that, Importance Performance Analysis and Content Analysis were performed with questionnaire to determine the present condition of Korean public new town development company.
