  • It is time to extensively reshuffle domestic film industry, which has grown rapidly in recent years. Above all, a most urgent task for domestic film industry is to train specialized staff by working out a foundation for on-site human resource education. For this, it is necessary to review the existing apprenticeship system-a major educational system for domestic film industry for a long time-and then work out a reasonable substitute which can overcome its limitations and succeed its advantages. In other words, it is necessary to switch a current perpendicular rank system, a basis of apprenticeship system, to a horizontal specialized staff system and then establish an industrial information network with which the current status of on-site human resources can be understood and which can comprehensively manage their career, promotion and wages. In this regard, this study suggested the introduction of workplace learning and mentoring as a new system for on-site human resource education for film industry, in order to work out an educational system that could maintain abundant on-site experience and the sense of emotional tie with fellow workers-the advantages of apprenticeship system-and realize a more systematic and specialized workplace learning.

  • The objective of this study is to provide the basic data for the efficient operation of industry-academia partnership apprenticeship school, by analyzing the interest in the relevant policy, targeting the interested parties of school and corporation as the two main subjects operating the industry-academia partnership apprenticeship school. Using the Concerns-Based Adoption Model(CBAM) used for understanding the interested parties' interest in the adoption of a certain new changing. In the results of analysis, first, currently, the operating subjects of industry-academia partnership apprenticeship school showed the similar interest with the pattern of nonusers. In other words, currently, based on the curiosity about the relevant policy, they are interested in which roles they should perform for the successful operation. Second, when dividing the operating subjects of industry-academia partnership apprenticeship school into school parties and corporate parties, the results of examining the differences in the interest of each subject are as follows. First, in the stages except for the Stage 0(indifference), the interest of school parties was relatively higher than the one of corporate parties. It might be because the school's role is bigger in the operation of industry-academia partnership apprenticeship school, contrary to the advanced countries. In other words, in case of school parties, the overall and general understanding of the relevant policy is premised, so that their interest of each stage is higher than the one of corporate parties. Especially, the Stage 5(cooperative interest) showed the biggest differences. As the cooperation between industry and academia is the success factor of the relevant policy, it would be necessary to implant the concrete measures for industry-academia cooperation in school parties, and also to implant the importance of industry-academia cooperation in corporate parties. Next, both operating subjects showed the lowest intensity in the Stage 4(consequential interest). It means that the operating subjects' interest in the evaluation of apprenticeship students is relatively low.

  • Poor working conditions in the construction industry have made young people reluctant to enter it, resulting in supply/demand unbalance of construction skilled worker. Currently, most construction workers in Korea acquire skills through apprenticeships. Against this background, this study aimed to identify problems in apprenticeship-based methods of technical education, and to suggest measures that could improve these methods. As a measure to improve current apprenticeship-based methods of technical education, technical education needs to be regularly provided on construction sites, and each construction company needs to issue a certificate to workers confirming their completion of technical education. It is also necessary to establish a system in which this certificate is recognized as education experience. In addition, it is recommended to form partnerships with construction technology education institutes supported by the government in order to provide construction workers with opportunities to receive new technologies and construction methods free of charge, and it is urgently necessary to establish and implement a policy to adequately support their cost of living during this period.

  • Reflecting on own beliefs about teaching and learning, developed during "the apprenticeship of observation", is a central task for pre-service years. This case study analysed a lesson observation course which could identify, challenge pre-service teachers' folk pedagogy about classroom communications and induce to change of beliefs about teaching and learning. Our analysis shows that targeting and refuting pre-service teachers' specific belief may be an effective strategy for teacher educators to foster new teaching practice.

  • The apprenticeship-based training method (ABTM) is highly effective for gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopic training. However, the conventional ABTM has significant issues. Although many supplementary training methods (TMs) have been developed and utilized, they cannot entirely replace the ABTM, which remains the major TM strategy. Currently, new TM construction is crucial and necessary due to financial constraints, difficulty of obtaining sufficient training time due to patient safety-related regulations, and catastrophic damage caused by disasters such as the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The simulator-based TM (SBTM) is widely accepted as an alternative to the ABTM, owing to the SBTM's advantages. Since the 1960s, many GI endoscopy training simulators have been developed and numerous studies have been published on their effectiveness. While previous studies have focused on the simulator's validity, this review focused on the accessibility of simulators that were introduced by the end of 2021. Although the current SBTM is effective in GI endoscopic education, extensive improvements are needed to replace the ABTM. Incorporating simulator-incorporated TMs into an improved ABTM is an attempt to overcome the incompleteness of the current SBTM. Until a new simulator is developed to replace the ABTM, it is desirable to operate a simulator-integrated and well-coordinated TM that is suitable for each country and institution.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive implications for establishing vocational training education policies in Korea by investigating COVID-19 countermeasures in the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, which are representative vocational education training countries. The implications derived from the survey of leading countries in vocational education training are as follows. First, in order to respond to COVID-19, face-to-face vocational education training was quickly converted to online education. Second, the system was strengthened to overcome the crisis of the apprenticeship system, especially the British and Australian governments established a special budget for the apprenticeship system. Third, due to COVID-19, blended learning has become a new standard education model, accelerating the digitalization of vocational education training. Finally, leading countries in vocational education training are promoting the development of the edutech industry to support online education. This provides important implications for the direction of change in vocational education training in South Korea.

  • Music performance techniques have been primarily trained by apprenticeship. The technique transfer, which relies on the imitation of experience and actual performance without scientific evidence, required the pianists more time and effort than necessary. However, if the players in the field discover the principles of universally applicable piano playing techniques in collaboration with scientists, they will avoid errors and prepare a new paradigm in the development of piano playing techniques. This is why music performance science is needed. Little has been studied about it in Korea, but it has been activated abroad since the mid-1990s. The core science of music performance science is expected to be computer science fitting data analysis. In this paper, we introduce music performance science for the pianist and present how computer can help it.

  • This study aims to compare and analyze the work-based learning programs of the U.K. in order to find out the successful strategies of the Korea's youth internship which has not got employment effects. Furthermore, to seek a fundamental improvement plan of the Korea's work-based learning programs. The implications through comparative analysis are as follows. For internship performances, the curriculum should be standardized on the basis of industry-specific job criteria, which can be reflected by industrial demands and be correspond to needs at the workplace. Also, it is imperative that the curriculum is linked to national qualifications to guarantee the job ability. Additionally, an infrastructure for effectively monitoring, managing, and evaluating programs should be established. However, these strategies are still constrained in improving the job ability of vulnerable targets and fostering the future-leading manpower in the new industry. In order to reform the work-based learning program, it needs to be structured with a variety of programs suitable for different levels of participants by introducing traineeship, apprenticeship and further education.
