With the development of imaging information communication technology in modern society, imaging acquisition and mass production technology have developed rapidly. However, crime rates using these technology are increased and forensic studies are conducted to prevent it. Identification techniques for image acquisition devices are studied a lot, but the field is limited to images. In this paper, camera model identification technique for video, not image is proposed. We analyzed video frames using the trained model with images. Through training and analysis by considering the frame characteristics of video, we showed the superiority of the model using the P frame. Then, we presented a video camera model identification system by applying a majority-based decision algorithm. In the experiment using 5 video camera models, we obtained maximum 96.18% accuracy for each frame identification and the proposed video camera model identification system achieved 100% identification rate for each camera model.

In this study, we propose a deep learning-based NILM technique using actual measured power data for 5 kinds of home appliances and verify its effectiveness. For about 3 weeks, the active power of the central power measuring device and five kinds of home appliances (refrigerator, induction, TV, washing machine, air cleaner) was individually measured. The preprocessing method of the measured data was introduced, and characteristics of each household appliance were analyzed through spectogram analysis. The characteristics of each household appliance are organized into a learning data set. All the power data measured by the central power measuring device and 5 kinds of home appliances were time-series mapping, and training was performed using a LSTM neural network, which is excellent for time series data prediction. An algorithm that can disaggregate five types of energies using only the power data of the main central power measuring device is proposed.

This paper presents a method to implement a low-cost driving simulator for developing autonomous driving algorithms. This is implemented by using GTA V, a physical engine-based commercial game software, containing a function to emulate output and data of various sensors for autonomous driving. For this, NF of Script Hook V is incorporated to acquire GT data by accessing internal data of the software engine, and then, various sensor data for autonomous driving are generated. We present an overall function of the developed driving simulator and perform a verification of individual functions. We explain the process of acquiring GT data via direct access to the internal memory of the game engine to build up an autonomous driving algorithm development environment. And, finally, an example applicable to artificial neural network training and performance evaluation by processing the emulated sensor output is included.
As a valid numerical method to obtain a high-resolution result of a flow field, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) have been widely used to study coolant flow and heat transfer characteristics in fuel rod bundles. However, the time-consuming, iterative calculation of Navier-Stokes equations makes CFD unsuitable for the scenarios that require efficient simulation such as sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification. To solve this problem, a reduced-order model (ROM) based on proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and machine learning (ML) is proposed to simulate the flow field efficiently. Firstly, a validated CFD model to output the flow field data set of the rod bundle is established. Secondly, based on the POD method, the modes and corresponding coefficients of the flow field were extracted. Then, an deep feed-forward neural network, due to its efficiency in approximating arbitrary functions and its ability to handle high-dimensional and strong nonlinear problems, is selected to build a model that maps the non-linear relationship between the mode coefficients and the boundary conditions. A trained surrogate model for modes coefficients prediction is obtained after a certain number of training iterations. Finally, the flow field is reconstructed by combining the product of the POD basis and coefficients. Based on the test dataset, an evaluation of the ROM is carried out. The evaluation results show that the proposed POD-ROM accurately describe the flow status of the fluid field in rod bundles with high resolution in only a few milliseconds.
The cable component of cable-stayed bridges is gradually impacted by weather conditions, vehicle loads, and material corrosion. The stayed cable is a critical load-carrying part that closely affects the operational stability of a cable-stayed bridge. Damaged cables might lead to the bridge collapse due to their tension capacity reduction. Thus, it is necessary to develop structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques that accurately identify damaged cables. In this work, a combinational identification method of three efficient techniques, including statistical analysis, clustering, and neural network models, is proposed to detect the damaged cable in a cable-stayed bridge. The measured dataset from the bridge was initially preprocessed to remove the outlier channels. Then, the theory and application of each technique for damage detection were introduced. In general, the statistical approach extracts the parameters representing the damage within time series, and the clustering approach identifies the outliers from the data signals as damaged members, while the deep learning approach uses the nonlinear data dependencies in SHM for the training model. The performance of these approaches in classifying the damaged cable was assessed, and the combinational identification method was obtained using the voting ensemble. Finally, the combination method was compared with an existing outlier detection algorithm, support vector machines (SVM). The results demonstrate that the proposed method is robust and provides higher accuracy for the damaged cable detection in the cable-stayed bridge.

This paper introduces the implementation of a secondhand clothing trading system equipped with virtual fitting functionality based on deep learning. The proposed system provides users with the ability to visually try on secondhand clothing items online and assess their fit. To achieve this, it utilizes the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to create virtual representations of users considering their body shape and the design of the clothing. This enables buyers to pre-assess the fit of clothing items online before actually wearing them, thereby aiding in their purchase decisions. Additionally, sellers can present accurate clothing sizes and fits through the system, enhancing customer satisfaction. This paper delves into the CNN model's training process, system implementation, user feedback, and validates the effectiveness of the proposed system through experimental results.

This paper is concerned with the problem of speaker-adaptive speech synthes is method using a mapped codebook designed by fuzzy mapping on FLVQ (Fuzzy Learning Vector Quantization). The FLVQ is used to design both input and reference speaker's codebook. This algorithm is incorporated fuzzy membership function into the LVQ(learning vector quantization) networks. Unlike the LVQ algorithm, this algorithm minimizes the network output errors which are the differences of clas s membership target and actual membership values, and results to minimize the distances between training patterns and competing neurons. Speaker Adaptation in speech synthesis is performed as follow;input speaker's codebook is mapped a reference speaker's codebook in fuzzy concepts. The Fuzzy VQ mapping replaces a codevector preserving its fuzzy membership function. The codevector correspondence histogram is obtained by accumulating the vector correspondence along the DTW optimal path. We use the Fuzzy VQ mapping to design a mapped codebook. The mapped codebook is defined as a linear combination of reference speaker's vectors using each fuzzy histogram as a weighting function with membership values. In adaptive-speech synthesis stage, input speech is fuzzy vector-quantized by the mapped codcbook, and then FCM arithmetic is used to synthesize speech adapted to input speaker. The speaker adaption experiments are carried out using speech of males in their thirties as input speaker's speech, and a female in her twenties as reference speaker's speech. Speeches used in experiments are sentences /anyoung hasim nika/ and /good morning/. As a results of experiments, we obtained a synthesized speech adapted to input speaker.
To investigate the stability of temporary retaining walls during excavation, it is essential to develop reverse analysis technologies capable of precisely evaluating the properties of the ground and a learning model that can assess stability by analyzing real-time data. In this study, we targeted excavation sites where the C.I.P method was applied. We developed a Deep Neural Network (DNN) model capable of evaluating the stability of the retaining wall, and estimated the physical properties of the ground being excavated using a Differential Evolution Algorithm. We performed reverse analysis on a model composed of a two-layer ground for the applicability analysis of the Differential Evolution Algorithm. The results from this analysis allowed us to predict the properties of the ground, such as the elastic modulus, cohesion, and internal friction angle, with an accuracy of 97%. We analyzed 30,000 cases to construct the training data for the DNN model. We proposed stability evaluation grades for each assessment factor, including anchor axial force, uneven subsidence, wall displacement, and structural stability of the wall, and trained the data based on these factors. The application analysis of the trained DNN model showed that the model could predict the stability of the retaining wall with an average accuracy of over 94%, considering factors such as the axial force of the anchor, uneven subsidence, displacement of the wall, and structural stability of the wall.

In this study, a preliminary study was undertaken for development of a tunnel incident automatic detection system based on a machine learning algorithm which is to detect a number of incidents taking place in tunnel in real time and also to be able to identify the type of incident. Two road sites where CCTVs are operating have been selected and a part of CCTV images are treated to produce sets of training data. The data sets are composed of position and time information of moving objects on CCTV screen which are extracted by initially detecting and tracking of incoming objects into CCTV screen by using a conventional image processing technique available in this study. And the data sets are matched with 6 categories of events such as lane change, stoping, etc which are also involved in the training data sets. The training data are learnt by a resilience neural network where two hidden layers are applied and 9 architectural models are set up for parametric studies, from which the architectural model, 300(first hidden layer)-150(second hidden layer) is found to be optimum in highest accuracy with respect to training data as well as testing data not used for training. From this study, it was shown that the highly variable and complex traffic and incident features could be well identified without any definition of feature regulation by using a concept of machine learning. In addition, detection capability and accuracy of the machine learning based system will be automatically enhanced as much as big data of CCTV images in tunnel becomes rich.

As smartphones are getting widely used, human activity recognition (HAR) tasks for recognizing personal activities of smartphone users with multimodal data have been actively studied recently. The research area is expanding from the recognition of the simple body movement of an individual user to the recognition of low-level behavior and high-level behavior. However, HAR tasks for recognizing interaction behavior with other people, such as whether the user is accompanying or communicating with someone else, have gotten less attention so far. And previous research for recognizing interaction behavior has usually depended on audio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi sensors, which are vulnerable to privacy issues and require much time to collect enough data. Whereas physical sensors including accelerometer, magnetic field and gyroscope sensors are less vulnerable to privacy issues and can collect a large amount of data within a short time. In this paper, a method for detecting accompanying status based on deep learning model by only using multimodal physical sensor data, such as an accelerometer, magnetic field and gyroscope, was proposed. The accompanying status was defined as a redefinition of a part of the user interaction behavior, including whether the user is accompanying with an acquaintance at a close distance and the user is actively communicating with the acquaintance. A framework based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) recurrent networks for classifying accompanying and conversation was proposed. First, a data preprocessing method which consists of time synchronization of multimodal data from different physical sensors, data normalization and sequence data generation was introduced. We applied the nearest interpolation to synchronize the time of collected data from different sensors. Normalization was performed for each x, y, z axis value of the sensor data, and the sequence data was generated according to the sliding window method. Then, the sequence data became the input for CNN, where feature maps representing local dependencies of the original sequence are extracted. The CNN consisted of 3 convolutional layers and did not have a pooling layer to maintain the temporal information of the sequence data. Next, LSTM recurrent networks received the feature maps, learned long-term dependencies from them and extracted features. The LSTM recurrent networks consisted of two layers, each with 128 cells. Finally, the extracted features were used for classification by softmax classifier. The loss function of the model was cross entropy function and the weights of the model were randomly initialized on a normal distribution with an average of 0 and a standard deviation of 0.1. The model was trained using adaptive moment estimation (ADAM) optimization algorithm and the mini batch size was set to 128. We applied dropout to input values of the LSTM recurrent networks to prevent overfitting. The initial learning rate was set to 0.001, and it decreased exponentially by 0.99 at the end of each epoch training. An Android smartphone application was developed and released to collect data. We collected smartphone data for a total of 18 subjects. Using the data, the model classified accompanying and conversation by 98.74% and 98.83% accuracy each. Both the F1 score and accuracy of the model were higher than the F1 score and accuracy of the majority vote classifier, support vector machine, and deep recurrent neural network. In the future research, we will focus on more rigorous multimodal sensor data synchronization methods that minimize the time stamp differences. In addition, we will further study transfer learning method that enables transfer of trained models tailored to the training data to the evaluation data that follows a different distribution. It is expected that a model capable of exhibiting robust recognition performance against changes in data that is not considered in the model learning stage will be obtained.
