  • In this paper, we present the structure of fuzzy neural network(FNN) based on wavelet function, and apply this network structure to the identification of nonlinear systems. For adjusting the shape of membership function and the connection weights, the parameter learning method based on the gradient descent scheme is adopted. And an approach that uses adaptive learning rates is driven via a Lyapunov stability analysis to guarantee the fast convergence. Finally, to verify the efficiency of our network structure. we compare the Identification performance of proposed wavelet based fuzzy neural network(WFNN) with those of the FNN, the wavelet fuzzy model(WFM) and the wavelet neural network(WNN) through the computer simulation.

  • Recently, various uses of artificial intelligence have been made possible through the deep artificial neural network structure of machine learning, demonstrating human-like capabilities. Unfortunately, the deep structure of the artificial neural network has not yet been accurately interpreted. This part is acting as anxiety and rejection of artificial intelligence. Among these problems, we solve the capability part of artificial neural networks. Calculate the size of the artificial neural network structure and calculate the size of data that the artificial neural network can process. The calculation method uses the group method used in mathematics to calculate the size of data and artificial neural networks using an order that can know the structure and size of the group. Through this, it is possible to know the capabilities of artificial neural networks, and to relieve anxiety about artificial intelligence. The size of the data and the deep artificial neural network are calculated and verified through numerical experiments.

  • A prediction method for determining the welding residual stress by artificial neural network is proposed. A three-dimensional transient thermomechanical analysis has been performed for the CO $_{2}$ Arc Welding using the finite element method. The validity of the above results is demonstrated by experimental elastic stress relief method which is called Holl Drilling Method. The first part of numarical analysis performs a three-dimensional transient heat transfer anslysis, and the second part then uses results of the first part and performs a three-dimensional transient thermo-clasto-plastic analysis to compute transient and residual stresses in the weld. Data from the finite element method were used to train a backpropagation neural network to predict residual stress. Architecturally, the finite element method were used to train a backpropagation voltage and the current, a hidden layer to accommodate failure mechanism mapping, and an output layer for residual stress. The trained network was then applied to the prediction of residual stress in the four specimens. The results of predicted residual stress have been very encouraging.

  • A system software on-line spectral analysis of atomic emission spectrometer. The system program consisted of a control part for the optical instruments and the spectrum analysis part the artificial intelligence method to reduce nonlinear error of the wavelengths. McPHERSON 207 Monochromator controlled GPIB communication protocol, and the detector signal was measured from PMT by using A/D Amplifier that was made by Photon_Tek. co.. HNN(Hybrid Neural Network) of artificial intelligence technique was applied to the qualitative analysis of P, Cu, Fe, Cr, and that was accurately applied to the quantitative analysis of Cd with 10 ppb level better than the conventional methods.

  • A neural network disturbance observer for a robotic manipulator is derived in this paper. The neural network used as the disturbance observer is a feedforward MLP(multiple-layered perceptron) network. The uniform ultimate boundness(UUB) of the proposed neural disturbance observer and the control error within a sufficiently small compact set is guaranteed. This neural disturbance observer method overcomes the disadvantages of the existing adaptive control methods which require the tedious analysis of the regressor matrix of the given manipulator. The effectiveness of the proposed neural disturbance observer is demonstrated by the application to the three-link robotic manipulator.

  • The aim of this study is to develop basic artificial neural network models in forecasting the in-sample gross domestic product (GDP) of Malaysia. GDP is one of the main indicators in presenting the macro economic condition of a country as set by the world authority bodies such as the World Bank. Hence, this study uses an artificial neural network-based approach to make predictions concerning the economic growth of Malaysia. This method has been proposed due to its ability to overcome multicollinearity among variables, as well as the ability to cope with non-linear problems in Malaysia's growth data. The selected inputs and outputs are based on the previous literatures as well as the economic growth theory. Therefore, the selected inputs are exports, imports, private consumption, government expenditure, consumer price index (CPI), inflation rate, foreign direct investment (FDI) and money supply, which includes M1 and M2. Whilst, the output is real gross domestic product growth rate. The results of this study showed that the neural network method gives the smallest value of mean error which is 0.81 percent with a total difference of 0.70 percent. This implies that the neural network model is appropriate and is a relevant method in forecasting the economic growth of Malaysia.

  • The recycling cell formation problem means that disposal products me classified into recycling part families using group technology in their end of life phase. Disposal products have the uncertainties of product status by usage influences during product use phase and recycling cells are formed design, process and usage attributes. In order to treat the uncertainties, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic-based neural network model are applied to recycling cell formation problem far disposal products. In this paper, a heuristic approach fuzzy ART neural network is suggested. The modified fuzzy ART neural network is shown that it has a great efficiency and give an extension for systematically generating alternative solutions in the recycling cell formation problem. We present the results of this approach applied to disposal refrigerators and the comparison of performances between other algorithms. This paper introduced a procedure which integrates economic and environmental factors into the disassembly of disposal products for recycling in recycling cells. A qualitative method of disassembly analysis is developed and its ai is to improve the efficiency of the disassembly and to generated an optimal disassembly which maximize profits and minimize environmental impact. Three criteria established to reduce the search space and facilitate recycling opportunities.

  • Air pollution is a challenging issue in some of the large cities in developing countries. In this regard, data interpretation is one of the most important parts of air quality management. Several methods exist to analyze air quality; among these, we applied the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and Radial Basis Function (RBF) methods to predict the hourly air concentration of benzene in 14 districts in the municipality of Tehran. Input data were hourly temperature, wind speed and relative humidity. Both methods determined reliable results. However, the RBF neural network performance was much closer to observed benzene data than the MLP neural network. The correlation determination resulted in 0.868 for MLP and 0.907 for RBF, while the Index of Agreement (IA) was 0.889 for MLP and 0.937 for RBF. The sensitivity analysis related to the MLP neural network indicated that the temperature had the greatest effect on prediction of benzene in comparison with the wind speed and humidity in the study area. The temperature was the most significant factor in benzene production because benzene is a volatile liquid.
