The changes in threshold voltage and DIBL were investigated for changes in remanent polarization P_r and coercive field E_c, which determine the characteristics of the P-E hysteresis curve of ferroelectric in NCFET (negative capacitance FET). The threshold voltage and DIBL (drain-induced barrier lowering) were observed for a junctionless double gate MOSFET using a gate oxide structure of MFMIS (metal-ferroelectric-metal-insulator-semiconductor). To obtain the threshold voltage, series-type potential distribution and second derivative method were used. As a result, it can be seen that the threshold voltage increases when P_r decreases and E_c increases, and the threshold voltage is also maintained constant when the P_r/E_c is constant. However, as the drain voltage increases, the threshold voltage changes significantly according to P_r/E_c, so the DIBL greatly changes for P_r/E_c. In other words, when P_r/E_c=15 pF/cm, DIBL showed a negative value regardless of the channel length under the conditions of ferroelectric thickness of 10 nm and SiO₂ thickness of 1 nm. The DIBL value was in the negative or positive range for the channel length when the P_r/E_c is 25 pF/cm or more under the same conditions, so the condition of DIBL=0 could be obtained. As such, the optimal condition to reduce short channel effects can be obtained since the threshold voltage and DIBL can be adjusted according to the device dimension of NCFET and the P_r and E_c of ferroelectric.

In this study, we investigate the effect of social presence and affection on usage and participation in the UCC service. We have conducted a face-to-face survey along with an e-mail survey and obtained a total of 329 responses. The findings show that social presence has a significant impact on pleasure and arousal. Social presence and pleasure in turn show a positive impact on using the UCC service. However, arousal has no significant influence on the UCC service usage. Participation in the UCC service appears to be a different behavior than the UCC usage. Pleasure shows a negative effect on the UCC service participation, while arousal very strongly and positively affects the UCC service participation. The significance of this study can be found in that it empirically demonstrates the importance of social presence and affection in promoting the UCC service usage.

The purpose of this research is to test the effects of employee perceived job characteristics on service quality. Empirical analysis was based on the data of 692 hotel employees from Seoul and Gyung-gi province. To test the relationship between job characteristics and service quality, multiple regression analysis was applied, and hierarchial regression analysis(Cohen & Cohen, 1983) applied to test the moderating effects of gender and tenure. Multiple regressional analysis showed that job importance, job variety, and feedback had an affirmative impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, but autonomy had a negative impact on tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance.

최근 게임 산업에서 모바일 게임이 차지하고 있는 비중이 증대됨에 따라 모바일 게임의 주요 사용자인 10대 청소년층의 모바일 게임 사용시간이 크게 증가하게 되었고 모바일 게임은 다양한 형태로 초등학생을 포함한 청소년에게 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 모바일 게임이 학교성적과 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 하여 모바일 게임이 가진 부정적인 효과를 상쇄시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

This paper relates the valuation consequences of common-stock, convertible-debt and straight-debt offering announcements to the issuing firms' stock price performance in periods before the announcements. Similar to previous studies on equity offerings, we find that the announcement effects of security offerings, regardless of offering types, are negatively correlated with the short-term pre-offering stock returns. We show that the informational impact of the preceding earnings and dividend(E/D) announcements account for the previous findings of the negative correlation. We further report that security issues following 'good-news' E/D announcements result in larger stock price declines than issues following 'bad-news' E/D announcements. The finding is consistent with the hypothesis that the E/D information affects the investors' assessments of the firm's cash flow expectations and of the probability of external financing.

Purpose: This study was designed to identify the impact of uncertainty degree and uncertainty appraisal on cancer patients resilience. Methods: A sample of 181 patients with cancer was recruited from a hospital in Incheon. Data were collected from May 20 to August 25, 2011. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: The resilience for cancer patients showed a significant relationship with uncertainty degree and uncertainty appraisal. The significant factors influencing resilience were uncertainty degree and uncertainty appraisal, they explained 26.5% of the variance. Conclusion: Patients with cancer were adversely affected by uncertaint which led to a negative effect on resilience. The result suggests that intervention programs to reduce the level of uncertainty among patients could improve the resilience of cancer patients.

Blog have become very popular with Internet users as one of the latest forms of online communication as well as knowledge sharing tools. However, blogs generate growing concerns regarding information privacy issues. This study, based on social exchange theory, presents results about bloggers' information sharing behavior. The 157 surveys are collected from a large university in the eastern U.S. The survey results indicate that trust which has four second order factors: economy based trust, trust in reciprocity, trust in other bloggers and trust in social interaction positively affects bloggers' information sharing behavior. However, online information privacy concerns have a negative impact on the relationship between trust and bloggers' information sharing behavior.

Numerous studies have linked empowerment to employee's behaviors and attitudes. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of empowerment on the organizational commitment and turnover intention of social worker in private social welfare organizations. For the research, empowerment was consisted of meaning, competence, self-determination and impact. This study was analyzed 342 social workers by survey. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Social Workers had correlation to empowerment on the organizational commitment (+). Especially, meaning, self-determination and impact had a positive effect on the organizational commitment; Meaning, competence, and self-determination had a negative effect on the turnover intention. This study finally discussed theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for empowerment strategies on the results.

The effect of the September 2008 global financial crisis weighed heavily on stock markets around the world. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the impact of the crisis on Amman Stock Exchange. Event study methodology has been adopted on a period of 24 months, from January 2008 to December 2009. Monthly average abnormal returns across a sample of 52 industrial and services companies have been tested separately. The results reveal that Amman Stock Exchange experienced significant negative abnormal returns in the fourth quarter of the year 2008. However, there were no significant abnormal returns observed thereafter. This means that Amman Stock Exchange managed to overcome its adverse consequences. Since the event study tests for market efficiency, as well, the results show that Amman Stock Exchange reaction is consistent with the semi-strong form of the efficient market hypothesis.

The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of materialism on the attitude toward purchasing foreign luxury brands and the moderating effect of consumer ethnocentrism on this impact. Data were gathered by surveying university students living in Seoul metropolitan area using convenient sampling, and 325 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. In analysing data, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were conducted using structural equation modeling. Results showed that success factor of materialism gave rise to negative attitude toward purchasing foreign luxury brands while centrality factor of materialism spurred positive attitude. Consumer ethnocentrism also showed a significant effect as a moderator on the relationship between materialism and attitude: The relationship between materialism and attitude was stronger among subjects who had lower consumer ethnocentric tendencies than among subjects who had higher consumer ethnocentric tendencies.
