6 DOF 정합을 이용한 대 영역 실리콘 웨이퍼의 3차원 형상, 두께 측정 연구 (3D Surface and Thickness Profile Measurements of Si Wafers by Using 6 DOF Stitching NIR Low Coherence Scanning Interferometry)

  • In this investigation, we describe a metrological technique for surface and thickness profiles of a silicon (Si) wafer by using a 6 degree of freedom (DOF) stitching method. Low coherence scanning interferometry employing near infrared light, partially transparent to a Si wafer, is adopted to simultaneously measure the surface and thickness profiles of the wafer. For the large field of view, a stitching method of the sub-aperture measurement is added to the measurement system; also, 6 DOF parameters, including the lateral positioning errors and the rotational error, are considered. In the experiment, surface profiles of a double-sided polished wafer with a 100 mm diameter were measured with the sub-aperture of an 18 mm diameter at $10\times10$ locations and the surface profiles of both sides were stitched with the sub-aperture maps. As a result, the nominal thickness of the wafer was $483.2{\mu}m$ and the calculated PV values of both surfaces were $16.57{\mu}m$ and $17.12{\mu}m$, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 근적외선 다채널 형광 영상 시스템을 소개하고, 노출시간, 작동거리, 여기광의 강도에 따른 형광 영상 시스템의 특성에 대해 분석하였다. 노출시간이 길수록, 작동거리가 짧을수록, 여기광의 강도가 강할수록 형광신호가 증가하였다. 필터의 적절한 구성과 영상 모듈의 정밀한 패키징으로 배경신호의 증가를 억제하여 SBR이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 다채널 형광 영상 시스템을 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해 제안하였다.

  • The NISS (Near-infrared Imaging Spectrometer for Star formation history) onboard NEXTSat-1 is being developed by KASI. The NISS will perform the imaging low-resolution spectroscopic observation in the near-infrared range for nearby galaxies, low background regions, starforming regions and so on. The off-axis reflecting telescope with a wide field of view (2 deg. ${\times}$ 2 deg.) will be operated in the wavelength range from 0.95 to $3.8{\mu}m$. In order to reduce thermal noise, a telescope and a HgCdTe infrared sensor will be cooled down to 200K and 80K, respectively. To evade a stray light outside a field of view and use limited space efficiently, the NISS adopted the off-axis reflective optical system. The primary and secondary mirrors, optomechanical part and mechanical structure were designed to use the same material. It will lessen the degradation of optical performance due to a thermal variation. The purpose of NISS is the observation of cosmic near-infrared background in the wide wavelength range as well as the detection of near-infrared spectral lines in nearby galaxies, cluster of galaxies and star forming regions. It will give us less biased information on the star formation history. In addition, we will demonstrate the space technologies related to the development of the Korea's leading near-infrared instrument for the future large infrared telescope, SPICA.

Single-Kernel Corn Analysis by Hyperspectral Imaging

  • The objective of the research being presented was to construct and calibrate a spectrometer for the analysis of single kernels of corn. In light of the difficulties associated with capturing the spatial variability in composition of corn kernels by single-beam spectrometry, a hyperspectral imaging spectrometer was constructed with the intention that it would be used to analyze single kernels of corn for the prediction of moisture and oil content. The spectrometer operated in the range of 750- 1090 nanometers. After evaluating four methods of standardizing the output from the spectrometer, calibrations were made to predict whole-kernel moisture and oil content from the hyperspectral image data. A genetic algorithm was employed to reduce the number of wavelengths imaged and to optimize the calibrations. The final standard errors of prediction during cross-validation (SEPCV) were 1.22% and 1.25% for moisture and oil content, respectively. It was determined, by analysis of variance, that the accuracy and precision of single-kernel corn analysis by hyperspectral imaging is superior to the single kernel reference chemistry method (as tested).

  • 본 연구에서는 근적외선대역의 광원을 이용하여 생체측정 시 에러로 작용하는 피하지방층의 두께를 추정하는 방법의 가능성에 대해 검토한다. 현재까지 피하지방층의 두께측정을 위해서는 초음파장비나 CT, Dexa 장비 등 고가의 장비로 측정을 하는방법 이외는 특별한 수단이 없는 것이 현실이다. 정확한 측정을 위해 피하지방층의 두께를 제거하는 것이 일반적인 연구의 목적이나 본 연구에서는 이들 피하지방 두께 측정을 최근 주목받고 있는 건강에 적용하고자 한다. 본 연구의 피하지방층의 두께추정방법의 가능성이 보여진다면 체지방측정에 있어 몸 전체의 체지방을 추측하는 방식인 BIA방식의 체지방측정방법과 비교하여 특정부위에 대한 피하지방층 측정도 가능할 것이라는 기대도 할 수 있다.

Color Determination of Beef Rib Eye Using Near Infrared Spectroscopy

  • Beef samples of loin eye area from New Zealand, USA and three quality grades of Hanwoo were analyzed using near infrared spectrophotometer with reference values from laboratory optical Chromameter to determine effective spectrum range and mathematical treatment for determination of color values. $R^2s$ of prediction models were not improved much by calibrating with whole light range (400~2500 nm) compared to using visible range (400~1100 nm). Standard errors of calibration and prediction were influenced by possible bias due to sampling non-homogeneous sample sources. However, partial differentiation in the first order was more stable against sampling biases than second derivatives of the spectra. Lightness value was little different among the five sample sources of beef. Beef samples from USA were brighter and more reddish than beefs of Hanwoo or from New Zealand (p<0.05). Yellowness of USA beef was the highest followed by beef from New Zealand, which was also higher than Hanwoo beefs of three quality grades (p<0.05).

Detection of a Large Amount of Diffuse Extraplanar Dust in NGC 891

  • Significant discrepancies have been found between the dust masses of edge-on spiral galaxies derived from various tracers (optical/near-infrared, far-infrared/sub-millimeter observations, and the variation of dust attenuation with viewing angle). Here we report the first detection of a vertically extended far-ultraviolet (FUV) and near-UV (NUV) emission in an edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 891. The vertically extended emission is interpreted as the dust-scattered light due to a extraplanar dust layer in NGC 891 that contains about the same mass as the standard thin dust disk. This new dust component completely encloses the stellar disk and bulge, and solves the puzzle of dust mass.

  • 본 논문에서는 생체 내부를 비침습적으로 영상화하기 위한 방법으로 생체내에서의 빛의 전파가 흡수보다는 산란이 지배적으로 작용하는 근적외선(NIR, near-infrared) 영역의 레이저 광원 및 광 검출기를 이용하여 주파수영역(frequency-domain) 확산 광 단층촬영(DOT, diffuse optical tomography) 시스템을 구현하였으며, 생체조직을 모사한 액체 팬텀에 광학적 특성이 다른 이형성분(anomaly)을 삽입하여 실험적으로 흡수 및 산란 분포에 대한 영상을 복원함으로써 이형성분의 위치와 형태에 대한 정보를 획득하였다.

  • In previous study, we showed the feasibility of the in vivo use of portable near infrared system for the determination of human skin moisture. In order to optimize the acquiring condition of NIR spectrum of skin. skin depth profiling was investigated changing the distance and gap size between illumination and receiving of radiation in the terminal of fiber probe. The colleted light information could be controlled depending the distance and gap of fiber optic probe. (omitted)
