Aircraft Waypoint Navigation Control with Neural Network-Based Altitude-Hold Control

  • Flight control design for the autonomous waypoint navigation of aircraft is presented in this study. The waypoints are defined in terms of desired longitude and latitude. The control design is conducted in longitudinal and lateral directions, respectively. The lateral control is based upon coordinated turn strategy for which no sideslip is allowed under the turning maneuver. The longitudinal control is mainly focused on altitude hold during navigation. Neural network control approach is applied to the altitude-hold mode control. Simulation of the proposed control strategy has been performed under various conditions. A graphical simulation tool was developed to visually demonstrate the control technique developed in this study. A method to simulate the gas turbine transient behavior is developed.   • The roles and importance of the application of simulator in harbor and waterway design are emphasized. Different methods of simulation and their application are described. A large-scale simulation concept, group simulation, is proposed. Requirements of the simulator for accomplishing the tasks properly and effectively are suggested. Some points on modeling of ship hydrodynamics and environmental factors, welch are critical especially in waterway design simulation are discussed and algorisms presented.

  • 국제해사기구에서는 사용자 중심의 운항환경 구축을 위해 HCD 가이드라인을 제안하였으나 이는 인간중심설계(Human Centred Design)를 위해 HCD가이드라인을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 선교의 다양한 항해장비들 중 ECDIS를 대상으로 Design을 개선하고자할 때 사용가능한 HCD 가이드라인에 따른 표준화된 적용절차를 개발하여 제안하고자 한다.

  • Approximate design formulse for bandpass filter using stepped microstrip lines are derived. The coupling length of which can be adjusted according to the factor K.Some advantages fo this filter, thus, are the abilities to control the size and shape by changing the structure of the resonator. Using the design formulas an experimental filter was designed and fabricated . The experimental results have been agree with the designed ones, and hence, the validity of the proposed method has been confirmed.

  • This paper analyzes the design factors for GNSS anti-jamming receiver system in which the adaptive beamforming algorithm is applied in GNSS receiver system. The design analysis factors used in this paper are divided into three: antenna, beamforming algorithm, and operation environment. This paper analyzes the above three factors and presents numerical simulation results on antenna and beamforming algorithm.

  • For a relatively small country like Korea, a radionavigation system using airships can be considered, which is to provide the navigation service utilizing the stratospheric airships that are deployed in the stratosphere at the altitude of around 20-23km, and which is an independent or a back-up radionavigation system other than current GPS or GLONASS. In this paper, a feasibility study on the constellation of stratospheric airships for the navigation system has been performed. A measure of a geometrical condition between a receiver and navigation transmitters. called the DOP (Dilution of Precision), determines the resulting positioning error of the navigation system, if the error of range measurement is predictable. Therefore, with assumption that the range measurement error of the stratospheric airship navigation system is quite similar to GPS. the several DOP values have been used to evaluate the performance of the navigation system with comparing with the DOP values of GPS as the reference values. To provide the position information of the navigation transmitters to users, a receiver cluster system fixed on the ground, called an IGPS (inverted GPS), is proposed, and the error is also evaluated using the DOP values. Five areas around five major cities in South Korea have been selected, and then by numerical simulations the DOP values are compared those of GPS to assess the performance of the proposed navigation system using stratospheric airships. The possible frequency bands have been proposed. and then link budget of the navigation transmitter has been analyzed for the proposed navigation system.

  • In this paper, a prototype of GPS jammer localization system for precise landing is developed. The jammer localization system consists of the four jamming signal receivers for collecting RF signal, one central tracking station for estimating jammer position, and one monitoring station for displaying estimated position on the map. In order to estimate jammer location TDOA and AOA algorithm are introduced, and the function and design parameters of the developed prototype are proposed. CW, DSSS, Swept CW jamming signals were generated and used. From the results, it can be confirmed that developed system meets the performance goal.

  • 최근 IMO에서 논의되고 있는 E-Navigation (E-Nav)에 있어서 해상업무 서비스의 개발은 향후 선박항해 및 통신분야의 기술개발 방향을 결정지우는 요소이다. 본고에서는 해상업무용 서비스 개발과 이에 따른 기준모델 설계 방안을 제안한다. 서비스 도출에 있어서는 현재의 해상안전/보안 및 환경보호를 위한 선박업무를 충분히 고려하고 이용자 중심적인 기준모델의 설계방향을 제시하고자 한다. 제안된 기준모델은 향후 IT 기술의 발전에 따른 신기술의 도입을 유연하게 수용할 수 있도록 설계한다.

  • The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has defined e-Navigation for the purpose of providing safe and efficient maritime information and communication services. Currently, a maritime cloud is being developed as a communication infrastructure for e-Navigation services. In this paper, we design the structure of vessel ID importation system which can efficiently register the maritime ID in the maritime cloud environment.
