Statistics Korea has been diagnosis national statistics every year since 2006. They diagnosis over 200 kinds of national statistics. They have 7 quality dimension used for quality diagnosis. That is relevance, accuracy, Timeliness, Comparability, Coherence, Accessibility. Since we are interest in how well they produce national statistics, comparability has become the most important dimension recently. In this reason, Statistics Korea try to rating quality level and development comparability index for national statistics. This paper propose the practical method of grading the quality level and developing the comparability index of the national statistics.

In this paper we compare several statistical packages and propose basic requirements of the package for the efficient education of statistics. We develop a statistical software, KESS, based on Excel. KESS provides all the input menus and output results in Korean.

최근 계산 기술의 진보로 인하여, 베이지안 통계는 급속도로 확산되어 가고 있다. 그러나, 정보화 시대에 들어서면서 베이지안 통계를 비롯한 통계학은 새로운 문제들에 직면하게 되었다. 이 논문에서는 베이지안 통계의 역사를 간단히 살펴보고, 베이지안 통계의 현재의 영향력에 대해서 알아본다. 그리고 통계학의 미래와 통계학계가 직면한 도전과제들에 대하여 생각해 볼 것이다.

In this paper the single and product moments of order statistics of the doubly truncated Rayleigh distribution are studied. Some recurrence relations of order statistics are derived. Using order statistics, also characterization of the Rayleigh distribution are derived.

In this paper, we applied the multiblock dimension reduction methods to the classification of tumor based on microarray gene expressions data. This procedure involves clustering selected genes, multiblock dimension reduction and classification using linear discrimination analysis and quadratic discrimination analysis.

The improvement of quality is a continuous process and one of the main objectives of the Statistical Strategy launched by the Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO) is the enhancement of the quality of Korea national statistics. In this paper, we define the processing statistic, classify the Korea national processing statistics, and develop the quality indicators and check list for assessing the national processing statistics of Korea. During its development, the indicators has been discussed with the processing statistic managers of the KNSO and the checklist tested in a pilot study covering a variety of processing statistic areas.

Recently, Korean national center for education statistics & information exhibits the results of forecast educational statistics from 2007 to 2021 year. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the errors and problems on the results of forecast educational statistics and the distribution of the number of students.

An essential aspect of music is structure. Beran (2004) introduced a method of comparing piano plays via circular statistics based on the fact that there is circular structure in music. We expand the application of this method to a pair of two pop songs and discuss the possibility of applying it to detecting musical plagiarism. Circular statistics provides an objective view point comparing the musical works.
