This study conducted a survey on the current status and satisfaction of libraries participating in the opening hours support project in order to continue it to meet the purpose of improving information access and life welfare. To this end, a questionnaire and interview survey were conducted for those in charge of opening hours for each library, and the results are as follows. First, the opening hours support project is a project that needs a strategy that fits the characteristics of the region and the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to consider operating independently rather than relying on national support in the future through the preparation of regional-oriented operation plans. Second, it is necessary to establish a flexible operating model for opening hours that both employees and users can understand. Third, it is necessary to prepare an organizational operation plan that requires both duties and responsibilities along with the rights equivalent to existing regular employees. Fourth, in order for national public libraries in Korea to develop and implement a consistent policy for specific policies and projects, it is necessary to unify the separate public library operating system in the future. Fifth, it is necessary to prepare education and guidelines for the continuity and stable operation of the project, and to activate services other than labor costs, such as support for improving the space for the user's pleasant use.

As part of open science, the government adopts a national research data sharing and utilization strategy, forms a governance system at the national level, and promotes policies for research institutes to implement. Although the policy for managing research data is carried out centering on the academic world, it is insufficient compared to developed countries, and even this is a reality in which researchers do not have enough awareness to introduce it to the field. The purpose of this study is to understand the research data management status of researchers in each academic field. Academic fields consisted of four fields including Library and Information Science, Statistics, Ecology, and Korean Musicology, and the current status of data management was identified through a survey. The current status of research data management was analyzed from the perspective of research data production, sharing and management, saving, preservation and reuse. As a result of the study, it was found that there were differences by discipline in terms of data production, data sharing and management, data preservation, and data reuse, except for data savings.

In this study, the vision and goal of librarian education and training were designed by reflecting the changes in the internal and external environment of the library and the human resource development (HRD) trend in order to prepare a mid- to long-term development plan for librarian education and training. To design the vision and goal of librarian education and training, redefining the necessity, goals, mission, and role of librarian education and training, and seeking strategies to realize the vision and goal of librarian education and training. Core competency and national competency standards (A detailed implementation plan was prepared for the development of NCS) - based educational operation guidelines. First, when analyzing domestic and foreign prior research and literature, the future librarian is a person with competencies that includes first, creative convergence, second, communication and cooperation, third, leading professional, and fourth, empathic and inclusive talent. It was identified that education and training should be established based on The curriculum according to the library's future talents and core competencies should be presented in the following process model, and the librarian competencies for each type of creative convergence type, communication cooperation type, leading professional type, and empathy and inclusive type should be derived, and It was identified that the education direction should be set in the direction of designing a curriculum for job competency improvement by setting the job competency according to the requirements.

Purpose: The purpose of the study were to analyze the research trends of compassion fatigue in Korea nurses and to suggest future research directions. Methods: For this study, RISS, KISTI, KISS, National Assembly Library databases were searched using the key words 'compassion fatigue', 'secondary traumatic stress', 'professional quality of life' that contains compassion fatigue as a sub-element, and 'nurses' for this study. A total of 124 articles published in June 2014 were searched and analyzed 19 articles for the final analysis. Results: The most frequently used study design was descriptive (N=17, 89.5%). High compassion fatigue was reported in this study. Factors affecting compassion fatigue were personal factors (e.g., age, health state, and sleep hours), work-related factors (e.g., experience with traumatized patients), and psychological factors (e.g., job stress, anxiety, excessive empathy, social support, and coping strategy). Finally, Consequence factors of compassion fatigue was reported burnout, silencing response and turnover intention. Conclusion: There was a few studies on compassion fatigue. Further research on compassion fatigue needs to use a variety of study designs instruments suitable for Korean nurses, and to develop management programs on compassion fatigue in nurses.

Aside from serving as a body that monitors and criticizes the government through reviews and comments on public issues, newspapers can also form and spread public opinion. Metadata contains certain picture records and, in the case of local newspapers, the former is an important means of obtaining locality. Furthermore, advertising in newspapers and the way of editing in newspapers can be viewed as a representation of the times. For the value of archiving in newspapers when a documentation strategy is established, the newspaper is considered as a top priority that should be collected. A newspaper archive that will handle preservation and management carries huge significance in many ways. Journalists use them to write articles while scholars can use a newspaper archive for academic purposes. Also, the NIE is a type of a practical usage of such an archive. In the digital age, the newspaper archive has an important position because it is located in the core of MAM, which integrates and manages the media asset. With this, there are prospects that an online archive will perform a new role in the production of newspapers and the management of publishing companies. Korea Integrated News Database System (KINDS), an integrated article database, began its service in 1991, whereas Naver operates an online newspaper archive called "News Library." Initially, KINDS received an enthusiastic response, but nowadays, the utilization ratio continues to decrease because of the omission of some major newspapers, such as Chosun Ilbo and JoongAng Ilbo, and the numerous user interface problems it poses. Despite these, however, the system still presents several advantages. For example, it is easy to access freely because there is a set budget for the public, and accessibility to local papers is simple. A national library consistently carries out the digitalization of time-honored newspapers. In addition, individual newspaper companies have also started the service, but it is not enough for such to be labeled an archive. In the United States (US), "Chronicling America"-led by the Library of Congress with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities-is in the process of digitalizing historic newspapers. The universities of each state and historical association provide funds to their public library for the digitalization of local papers. In the United Kingdom, the British Library is constructing an online newspaper archive called "The British Newspaper Archive," but unlike the one in the US, this service charges a usage fee. The Joint Information Systems Committee has also invested in "The British Newspaper Archive," and its construction is still ongoing. ProQuest Archiver and Gale NewsVault are the representative platforms because of their efficiency and how they have established the standardization of newspapers. Now, it is time to change the way we understand things, and a drastic investment is required to improve the domestic and international online newspaper archive.

As XBRL applications for sharing the contents and semantics of business reports get activated, it is increasingly necessary to reuse components systematically by the standardization in the national level. The current standardization of Korean electronic documents follows the "Guideline for XML Documents Development", which aims to maximize the reusability of components by providing a business library as well as the UN/CEFACT core components methodology. XBRL takes the same approach with the standardization of electronic documents in that their components (concepts and their structures) are defined using XSD. In XBRL, however, concept are restricted to specific types and diverse relationship types can be defined for associating the concepts to themselves and other additional information. As a result, there are some issues that may not be solved by just applying the guideline to XBRL. This paper presents a basic method for applying the methodology to XBRL applications in order to realize the systematic reusing and standardization of XBRL documents in the national level. For case analysis, FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) income statement is employed to demonstrate the possibility of the method.

As country try expand R&D investment and enhance its efficiency to improve the national competitiveness, research is needed to conduct qualitative enhancement and derive progressive future strategy in relation to the academic information distribution project in scientific technology field. In this study, BSC-based performance indicators were applied to an institute that is the representative of domestic academic information distribution institutes in the field of scientific technology to evaluate project performance, and then to analyze portfolio of using such evaluation results. As for the items of evaluation for the performance indicators of academic information distribution project in the scientific technology field, 12 items that includes information resource quality, information service quality, user satisfaction and economically useful value of academic information from four(4) viewpoints such as information resource, information service, user and economic viewpoints. In the portfolio analysis, it was conducted by performance indicators and by elements of the individual performance indicators as well. Based on the results of performance evaluation and portfolio analysis, the improvement method by viewpoints on academic information distribution project of an institute was suggested.

The study is to make a development initiative for humanities and social assets one-stop portal services intended for researchers, thereby establishing long-term road map for Korean Research Memory(KRM) in National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF). The empirical studies conducted for this purpose are as follows: SWOT analysis of KRM's internal and external environment; Usability test for 90 graduate students; Focus group interview for 8 experts. The results of the studies are as follows. First, KRM needs to focus on the sustainability of information provision as well as the integration of research provision. Second, KRM needs to establish the strategy of acquisition for R&D products in quality. Third, KRM needs to be the hub of humanities and social assets and social network platform for researchers. Forth, KRM needs to develop education service for lay users as well as research services for professional researchers.

This study was conducted to establish the research direction of heat stress in dairy cows by searching papers and patents. Research papers published before 2014 through National Digital Science Library (NDSL) and patents registered with United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Japan Patent Office (JPO), European Patent Office (EPO) and Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) were investigated using the key words of heat stress index, genetics, facilities and feed. The research trend for heat stress in dairy cows was analyzed with 182 papers and 282 patents. Global warming due to increased atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases is a major interest in recent years. The papers related with heat stress in cattle were increased after 2006. Besides, patents connected with facilities and feed will be increased due to development of ICT. In particular, the various studies including patents about heat stress in dairy cows will be needed to conduct because the climate of southern Korean peninsula is changing from temperate to subtropic.

The purpose of this research is to suggest a theoretical base and guideline for the national scientific and technical information center which is assigned to take charge of the management and building knowledge and information infrastructure of the national scientific technology. And the objective of this study is to contribute to strengthen the need of the building of the national scientific and technical information center and provide operation programs and vision toward information center which will be established later. This study suggests a plan and strategy which make it possible to conduct functions as the national repository, clearinghouse, and portal gateway of the electronic resource and propose space program for the optimal building construction. Therefore, the contents of this study cover the building of the national scientific and technical information center as well as the basic plan of scale and space program, validity analysis of site location and environment.
