This study was conducted to raise awareness of careers in the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) as well as to investigate current awareness and preferences for LIS Department as a strategy to cope with the rapidly changing university environment. To do this, a survey of high school students was carried out, with results as follows: First, awareness about the LIS Department and awareness about librarians in our country's high school students was very low. Second, for possible careers in LIS Department, students responded that a graduate of LIS department was likely to enter the workplace in public libraries, state libraries, university libraries, or school libraries, but they would like to work at broadcasting library, national libraries, school libraries, university libraries, public libraries, or portals. Third, awareness of the career path for the LIS Department showed a very large impact on a preference for the LIS Department. Therefore, students who have heard about the LIS Department are highly probable to select this department when they reach university.

The purpose of this study is to build new management strategy of special libraries in the field of science and technologies. Though information service of digital libraries were developed very much due to IT technologies, management condition of special libraries is getting more worse. Immediate cause of this problem is absence of management strategies which were veiled by IT panacea. In order to overcome this problem, this study looks into the internal and external environment change which are surrounded by special libraries. And also examined procedures and method of environment analysis which is needed to build management strategies. As the result of research, this study analyze internal and external environment by SWOT analysis method, and finally propose new management strategies.

The purpose of this study is to provide users with satisfactory information services that are utilizing Voice of the Customers(VOC). Voice of the Customers(VOC) toward organizations that provide information services is important information for decision-making to improve customer satisfaction and information services. K institute manages customer requests and feedbacks for NDSL(National Digital Science Library) using the Voice of the Customer Management System(VCMS). In this study, we analyzed the total number of 1,738 VOCs and suggested improvement strategies for information services. The results can be utilized as basic information by libraries and information centers that provide information services through analysis of VOC.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the degree of job satisfaction of emergency medical technicians and its influencing factors through systematic review of prior studies. Methods: Databases were searched including national assembly library, national digital science library, korea education research information service and korean studies information service system to conduct systematic literature review. Results: The included studies were published from 2004 to 2017. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria to the retrieved 92 studies, a total of 11 studies were included for the final analysis. The questionnaire developed by Slavitt, Stamps, Piedmont and Haase was the most common tool used from the included studies. In the study using 5 point Likert type scale, the average job satisfaction level of emergency medical technicians was 3.18. It was 2.86 based on 4 point scale. Conclusion: According to the study results, the satisfaction level of emergency medical technicians is around the medium level. Effective strategy should be developed to improve job satisfaction based on the findings of the influencing factors to emergency medical technicians' job satisfaction.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the research on adherence for secondary prevention in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) in Korea, and to identify the strategies for improvement that should be included in future studies. Methods: Electric literature searches were conducted for Pubmed, CINAHL, RISS4U, KISTI, DBpia, KoreaMed, National Assembly Library, and National Library of Korea. A total of forty two articles published between 1986 and 2009 were selected based on established inclusion criteria. Results: Forty research papers were related to nursing, and there was only one research paper focused 011 elderly people with CAD. There were no papers using concept analysis, qualitative study. or randomized controlled clinical trial. Almost all definitions of adherence were adopted from outdated compliance definitions with the attribute of 'paternalistic obligation', Measurement tools were not based on theoretical framework of adherence but borrowed from tools for measuring self-care, health behavior, or self-efficacy. Overall patient's adherence was analyzed in most studies, except for a few studies which focused on diet and exercise only. Educational strategy was the main strategy used in intervention studies. Conclusions: The concept of adherence and measurement tools need to be clarified, along with development of the specific adherence interventions according to the type of adherence in patients with CAD.

Visual industry can contribute to this national industry is a high-value industry. Nevertheless, video resources expansion strategy at national level is lacking. There have been several institutions and organization conducting film archiving and related activities in Korea. Korean Film Archive(KOFA) is the only institution whose status is protected by the law. The purpose of this study was to suggest the strategic plan which is able to support the video industry and academic research. For methods to strengthen video resources, role adjustment of KOFA conducting film archiving and unification or integration of collection system for archiving broadcast materials were proposed.

IT skills might be just a product for people without disabilities; however it can be "another sense" that is able to give the disabled the same social abilities as non-disabled people. Library services are necessary to help disabled people have access to information. The effectiveness of the library services for the disabled depends on the level and the size of library. If 10% of the total domestic population couldn't participate in their social activities, it must be a huge individual at the same time national loss. This paper will look into supporting technologies and services for the reading disabled through literature researches and visiting domestic and international libraries. Based on this analysis, this paper suggests development plans for enhancing domestic situation. We are sure that our suggestions can contribute to give a long-term service development strategy for improving the reading disabled people's information accessibility.

The purpose of this study is to derive the operation strategies for establishing the mid-to-long-term comprehensive library development plans considering the identity and specificity of Anyang City. For this purpose, this study proceeded as follows. First, to understand the internal and external environment and regional characteristics of Anyang City, various literature and statistical data related to Anyang City were collected, analyzed, and organized. Second, the operation status of Anyang municipal libraries was analyzed with data such as 「National Library Statistics System」, 「Gyeonggido Public Library Yearbook」, and various library-related laws. Third, a survey with open-ended questions was conducted for twenty-six librarians working in Anyang municipal libraries to collect opinions on the identity of Anyang and the overall operations of the libraries. Lastly, by reflecting the current status analysis, the latest library trends, policies, and sociocultural environments, detailed operation strategies that can serve as a basis for establishing mid-to long term development plans for Anyang municipal libraries in the future were proposed. The above operating strategies were proposed by dividing into six areas such as (1) the plans for organizational system and manpower composition, (2) the facility plans for balanced regional development, (3) the collection development and preservation direction, (4) the special subject materials service plans, (5) the for establishing cooperation system, and (6) the public relations plans.

A strategy for development of a functional rice in proved with human lactoferrin and enhancement of nutrient compounds was planned. For the purposes we have cloned and characterized a human lactoferrin cDNA from human mammary gland cDNA library A endosperm storage vacuole targeting sequence and the cDNA fragment was linked to endosperm specific glutelin promoter. The fusion gene fragment was inserted into a binary vector containing MAR gene. In addition a new ${\beta}$-galactosidase gene from Bifidobacterium of human was used as a reporter gene in the vector system, Rice plants showing a high concentration of amino acids in the endosperm cells were developed by using a biochemical mutation and bred for the transformation with the binary vector system Finally we have established a transformation method for the rice endosperm cells.

This study proposes a selection plan for research entities and PIDs and a strategy for building and operating a PID consortium based on a survey of advanced cases of research entities and PID operations in major countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Japan, China, and Australia. The criteria for selecting research entities and PIDs are 'research life cycle' and 'PID infrastructure maturity'. Based on the two selection criteria, it is proposed to prioritize research entity-PID pairs such as 'Researcher-ORCID', 'Publication-DOI', 'Data-DOI', 'Institution-ROR', 'Grant-DOI', and 'Project-RAiD' and expand to other research entities and PIDs in the emerging stage. The strategy for establishing and operating a PID consortium should encourage the participation of various PID stakeholders, identify the latest trends through collaborative networks with domestic and international PID organizations, lead education and outreach activities to raise awareness and increase utilization of PID, and secure policy support and financial stability. This is expected to lay the foundation for domestic research entities to gain visibility and accessibility at the global level.
