This paper describes the analysis on freeze and refrigeration capacity of cold storage facilities for fisheries products during the last 15 years. And based on the analysis results, we prospect the number and scale of cold storage facilities in the near future. The main analysis results are summarized by the followings; Under the present conditions, the number and scale of our facilities is 879 and 3,586,824 ton, respectively. In comparison of the present and last 15 years ago, the business number increases about 22%, the accommodation capacity increases approximately 80%. In the reported update reference with the related data during the last 15 years, the capacity of cold storage facilities in 2011 expects to reach up to 4,600,000 ton. The newlyestablished facility in 2011 has the function of a multi-purpose distribution center as well as the existing cold storage, but this facilities converges in the capital area. Therefore, in this paper, we provided the basic reference data for the present situation and prediction of our cold storage facilities. But it is necessary to investigate and analyse widely our cold storage facilities for fisheries products in the near future.
A numerical model of hydraulic resistance by hanging aquaculture facilities is developed and applied to a model basin and a field. A drag stress term formulated by the quadratic law of drag force is introduced Tn the equations of motion for a two-dimensional depth-averaged flow. In the model basin, numerical experiments ave tarried out for the various shape of obstructions, string density and layout of facilities etc.. The flow pattern around the facilities is affected sensitively by the density of string and the layout of facilities. On the other hand, the velocity decay due to the hanging oyster aquaculture facilities is observed in Kamak bay, where the maximum velcocity decay rate is $25\%$ in spring tide. The model is also applied to the field, Kamak bay. The velocity decay rate in the model is comparable with the field measurement data. The velocity decreases around the down-stream area of the facilities, .hut it increases in the other region. The water elevation decreases during the flood and it increases during the ebb.
Recently, as the number of landscaping plant nurseries have increased, environmental problems such as topographical damage due to indiscriminate changes in land use, increased non-point pollution, and increased impervious areas are also occurring. In this study, we propose eco-friendly facilities and a detailed maintenance manual that can enhance the eco-friendliness and scenic beauty of landscaping plant nurseries that are increasingly located near cities. By exploring previous reports on eco-friendly facilities and related laws, we cataloged the types of eco-friendly facilities, and by referring to examples of eco-friendly facilities introduced in overseas cases and the environmental functions of agriculture, we cataloged the types of eco-friendly facilities suitable for introduction in plant nurseries. The selected facilities are rain gardens, tree boxes, vegetated filter beds, bio-retention, infiltration trench, infiltration tanks, permeable pavements, and sand filtration systems. The maintenance tasks of eco-friendly facilities were categorized and management plans were proposed, which is expected to be utilized as a basic data to prepare eco-friendly space planning and operation management plans when creating a landscape plant nurseries in the future.

The purpose of this study was to derive and analyze the hub facilities that occupy major positions in the vehicle movement networks of livestock facilities. For this purpose, this study used the KAHIS data provided by Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency. The hub facilities were derived from the degree centrality & betweenness centrality. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, in a livestock facility's vehicle movement network, there are a small number of hub facilities with very high centrality indicator values compared to other facilities. Second, the hub facilities based on the degree centrality are the feed factory, the milk collecting center, slaughterhouse, slaughterhouse for chicken, and livestock markets. Third, the hub facilities based on the betweenness centrality are the livestock markets, the feed factory, and slaughterhouse. Fourth, hub facilities based on the degree centrality are concentrated in a particular area, but the hub facilities based on betweenness centrality are distributed relatively evenly.
Background: The food and food service influence the quality of life and the general health condition of older persons living in long-term care (LTC) facilities. Purchasing good food materials is a ground of good food service. In Korea, the residents in LTC facilities should pay for the cost of food materials and ingredients out of their pocket because it is not covered by LTC insurance. This study explored what factors affect the cost of food materials paid by LTC facility residents and which factor affects most. Methods: We used data from the study on out-of-pocket payment on national LTC insurance, which surveyed 1,552 family caregivers of older residents in LTC facilities. We applied conditional multi-level model, of which the first level represents the characteristics of care receivers and caregivers and its second level reflects those of LTC facilities. Results: We found that the facility residents with college-graduated family caregivers paid 11,545 Korean won more than those with less than elementary-graduated ones. However, the income level of family caregivers did not significantly affect the amount of the food material cost of the residents. The residents in privately owned, large, metropolitan-located facilities were likely to pay more than those in other types of facilities. The amount of the food material cost of the residents was mainly decided by the facility level factors rather than the characteristics of care recipients and their family caregivers (intra-class correlation=82%). Conclusion: These findings suggest that it might be effective to design a policy targeting facilities rather than residents in order to manage the cost of food materials of residents in LTC facilities. Setting a standard price for food materials in LTC facilities, like Japan, could be suggested as a feasible policy option. It needs to inform the choice of LTC users by providing comparable food material cost information. The staffing requirement of nutritionist also needs to be reviewed.

The national loss caused by the periodic livestock epidemic is very large. In addition, vehicle movement is the main cause of livestock epidemics in Korea. In this context, this study analyzed the relationship between the degree centrality of livestock facilities and the outbreak of infectious diseases. For this purpose, a livestock vehicle movement network was constructed using the facility entrance data provided by KAHIS. Afterwards, the centrality index was derived for each facility in the vehicle movement network and the mean centrality index of the epidemic and non-epidemic facilities were compared. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, the degree centrality of epidemic facilities is significantly greater than non-epidemic facilities. As a result of the analysis of the entire period data and the period-based data, in most data, the degree centrality of facilities where livestock infectious diseases occurred was significantly greater than most non-occurrence facilities. Second, in the entire period data, the difference in degree centrality between the epidemic and non-epidemic facilities was smaller for HPAI than for FMD. On the other hand, no significant difference was found in the results of the analysis according to the divided period. The policy implications of the results are as follows. First, proactive management of facilities based on centrality is needed. Second, in the case of cloven-hoofed animal facilities, it is more urgent to introduce a management policy based on the degree centrality.
Small-scale wastewater discharge facilities account for 98% of all workplaces, but in the generation and emission of major pollutants, they account for 27.5 % and 23.5 %, respectively. Since the proportion of the emission load of the small-scale workplace is not large, the national environmental policy has been established mainly around large-scale wastewater discharge facilities. However, in the case of specific hazardous substances in water, the amount of the discharge load of the small-scale wastewater discharge facility was 2.4 times higher than that of the generation load. Certain types of specific hazardous substances in water, which have a higher discharge load than large-scale wastewater discharge facilities, account for 24 ~ 32 %. There are also cases in which the discharge load from a small-scale discharge facility is more than four times higher, depending on the specific kind of water pollutant. As a result of inspections, the violation rate of the small-scale wastewater discharge facility among the total violations by facilities is 93.9 ~ 97.5 %. As a result, the ecotoxicity value of small-scale wastewater discharge facilities was high in most industries, and there was a fluctuation in the measured value. This indicates that the ecological integrity of the water system can be largely influenced by small-scale wastewater discharge facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the environmental management of small-scale wastewater discharge facilities, and in some cases, the effect of the improvement in quality may be more significant than in the management of large-scale wastewater discharge facilities.
The purpose of this study was to investigate disinfection state and effective factors of foodservice facilities and utilities of elementary schools in Busan area. Foodservice facilities and utilities investigated in this study were ceiling, wall, floor, trench, greasetrap, hood, pest and dumb waiter. The questionnaire which was administered to 196 dietitians was used as a survey method. The results were as follows. The washing method of foodservice facilities and utilities was mainly used by detergent washing-natural dry. The disinfection method of foodservice facilities and utilities was mainly sanitized by sodium hypochlorite. Dumb waiter and hood were sanitized by 70% ethyl alcohol and iodine. In washing and disinfection frequencies of foodservice facilities and utilities ceiling was twice/year, wall, hood and pest control facilities were once/week, floor, trench, greasetrap and dumb waiter were everyday, respectively. Floor, trench, greasetrap and dumb waiter were disinfected properly, whereas ceiling, wall, hood and pest were not disinfected properly. The washing method was related to dietitian's marital status and education. The disinfection state was related to dietitian's age and career, having of sanitation check list. The disinfection method was also affected dietitian's marital status, number of employee, duration of foodservice, number of total serving and having of sanitation check list. Therefore based on the results of this study, it should be given to the microbiological study on disinfection of facilities and utilities such as ceiling, wall, floor, trench, greasetrap, hood, pest and dumb waiter and the dietitian and employee's sanitation training also should be conducted continuously.
This study was conducted to investigate the perception about situation about school foodservice facilities and utilities in Chonbuk area. Self administered questionnaires were collected from 222 dietitians. Statistical data analysis was completed using a SPSS v. 10.0 program. The results are summarized as follows: Among 222 school foodservice systems, 68.5% of schools prepared the meal with conventional way and 31.5% of with commissary way. As the results of condition of school foodservice facilities, there was significantly differences between conventional and commissary foodservice systems; wall and ceilings(p<0.05), lighting(p<0.05), kitchen ventilation(p<0.05), preparation facilities(p<0.01), washstands(p<0.05), dressing rooms for employees(p<0.001), rest, and showers(p<0.01). On the basis those result it was assumed that the status of facilities of conventional foodservice systems better than commissary ones. About 66% of conventional foodservice systems and 34.5% of commissary ones have conducted own dining rooms. As to situation of dining rooms, conventional foodservice systems had better facilities than commissary ones. Therefore, governmental regulation agencies have to review and approval of plans prior to new construction or extensive remodeling of school foodservice facilities. In addition, content analysis was conducted regarding to dietitian's opinions on foodservice facilities and utilities.

In Korea, it is difficult to secure student health and safe educational environment due to the rapid deterioration of many school facilities built in the 70s and 80s in the past. As a result, through the improvement of school facilities, social needs for safe schools from various disasters, accidents, Is increasing. The purpose of this study was to establish a standard for the establishment of the national and school facilities for the mid - to long - term plan for the improvement of the old school facilities, and to propose a framework for mid - to long - term and rational planning that can be used by the national and local government offices. The purpose of this study is to establish a mid - and long - term plan for the improvement of old school facilities. The appropriate repair cycle for the improvement of the school facilities set up in this study can be utilized as a standard for the mid - and long - term planning for improvement of the school facilities in the Ministry of Education and the School of Education. To this end, a standard model, It is possible to roughly estimate the overall improvement in the mid- to long-term facilities at the national and regional levels.
