과학교육에서 인성교육의 필요성 및 인성의 구인에 대한 전문가의 인식 (Science Education Experts' Perceptions about Necessity and Elements of Character Education in Science Education)

  • 인성교육은 주로 도덕교과에서 교육하는 주제로 인식되어져 왔지만, 최근에는 다른 교과에서도 통합적으로 교육되어야 한다는 주장이 제기되었다. 과학교과에서도 인성교육에 대한 몇 가지 시도가 이루어지고 있으며, 과학교과 고유의 인성교육의 필요성이나 인성구인에 대한 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 중등학교 교사, 과학교과 전공 대학교수, 및 연구소 연구원을 포함한 과학교육 전문가들을 대상으로 설문조사와 포커스 인터뷰를 통해서 인성의 필요성 및 인성구인에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 전문가들은 과학자들의 활동에 내재된 인성, 학교현장의 요구, 탐구적 지식 습득을 위해 과학교육에서 인성교육이 필요하다고 인식하였다. 인성의 도덕교육적 측면과 시민교육적 측면을 바탕으로, 본 연구에서 본질적 인성의 구인 4가지(정직, 공감, 관용, 자아존중), 실천적 인성의 구인 7가지(개인적 차원; 성실, 책임, 자기조절: 사회적 차원; 배려, 개방성, 소통, 협력)를 제시하였는데, 전문가들로부터 타당성과 중요도를 인정받았다.

수학 교과에서 인성교육에 대한 일고찰 (A Study on Character Education in Mathematics Subject)

  • Character means a person's nature and the mind and behavior to lead a desirable life personally and socially. Also character can be changed with education and environment. Therefore character education will be possible to do practice through various educational activities and life experiences in school. In other words, we think that students will get person's character required to lead a desirable life personally and socially beyond what they just learn knowledge and skill, enter the higher schools and succeed one's way. This study accepts merits of existing character education policy through subject(mathematics) education and focus on direction for character education through subject(mathematics) education for systematic and synthetic approach for practice of character education. For this, we will see applicability of the plan for character education in the whole subject education, in particular focusing on cases of character education in mathematics subject.

타인의 정서 및 행동 추론 시 아동의 개인화된 추론 (Children's Personalized Inferences when Reasoning about Other's Emotion or Behavior)

  • The purposes of this study were (1) to investigate children's personalized inferences of characters emotional reactions depending on character's personality trait, emotional situation, children's age and gender, (2) to investigate children's personalized inferences of character's behavioral reactions depending on character's personality trait, emotional situation, children's age and gender, (3) to investigate differences between children's personalized inferences of character's emotional reaction and that of character's behavioral reactions. The subjects were 103 children from three age groups (thirty-four 3-year-olds, thirty-three 5-year-olds and thirty-six 7-year-olds). The statistical methods adopted for the data analysis were frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, repeated measure ANOVA and paired t-test. The result showed that there were significant differences in children's personalized inferences of character's emotional reaction depending on character's personality trait, emotional situation and their age. There were significant differences in children's personalized inferences of character's behavioral reaction depending on children's age and gender. There were significant differences between personalized inferences of character's emotional reaction and behavioral reactions.

근대 초 조선민족성과 조선미의식 담론의 논리화 방식 : 안확(安廓)과 야나기 무네요시(柳宗悅)를 중심으로 (A Study on the discourse about Chosǒn national character and Chosǒn aesthetic consciousness : focusing on the An Hwak and Yanagi Muneyoshi's discourse)

  • The purpose of this study is examining a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics of the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness by analysing the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character and $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness. As entering the modern period, we understood the nations as a unit of the artistic awareness. So, national art is defined as a national character expression from this period. The $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness by raising in this period, which is connected with the discourse of national character, carry out a discussional practice defining the Korean originality. However, there is a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics about the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness in the process of a discussion. For the most representative examples are 'the white-clad folk' and 'the beauty of sorrow'. An Hwak and Yanagi Muneyoshi are representative debaters who try to establish the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and their discussion supports these facts. As An Hwak regressing of the respect for high antiquity, he demolished the historical character from the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and overlooked aesthetic differences by a periodical change. Yanagi Muneyoshi totally separates arts from politics and disposes of Korean arts in an abstract timeless-space. The function of such an early-modern period's discourse about $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness is that $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character makes the dehistoricization and depoliticization.

협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델(CoProC)을 적용한 고등학교 화학 수업에서의 인성역량 평가 방법에 대한 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of the Method of Evaluation of Character Competence in High School Chemistry Classes Based on Collaborative Problem-Solving for Competency(CoProC) Instruction Model)

  • 이 연구는 협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델(CoProC)에 기반한 화학 수업을 고등학교 3학년 86명에게 적용하고 이에 따른 인성역량 변화를 인성역량 검사, 논의과정 분석, 반성 글쓰기 분석으로 알아보았으며, 평가 결과 간 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 세 평가 간 상관관계는 낮았으나 모두 인성역량 평균 점수가 향상되었고 세부 인성역량 요소에서는 차이가 나타났다. 인성역량 검사는 자기평가로써 학생들이 학습의 주인의식을 갖고 참여하도록 하였고, 논의과정 분석은 과정평가로써 학생의 말과 행동으로 나타나는 인성역량을 평가하기에 적합한 평가 방법으로 나타났으며, 반성 글쓰기 분석은 학생이 학습 전 과정을 되돌아보면서 행동으로 나타나기 어려운 인성역량을 분석할 수 있다는 장점을 보였다. 따라서 세 인성역량 평가 방법이 상호 보완적으로 함께 실시되면 학생들의 인성역량에 대한 세부적이고 종합적인 정보를 얻을 수 있다고 판단된다.

가정내 인성교육을 위한 부모 역할 지원 방안 탐색 (Policy Study on Parents Support for Character Education within Family)

  • This study focuses on the roles of family and parents as primary environments for character education of children and adolescents, examines surrounding micro and macro environments in a bioecological model, and explores parent support methods for restoring character education in family. For this study, we had interviews with 54 parents(44 mothers & 10 fathers). Through the interviews we found difficulties of character education in family and analyzed them in children and teenagers, parents, school, and social-cultural dimensions based on the bioecological model. On the basis of the parents' perception for these difficulties, we proposed how to support the roles of family and parents for recovering character education in family. The policy methods were propsed in family, school, and society dimensions. This study is meaningful in that it suggests evidence base for making the parent support policy.

Classification of Behavioral Lexicon and Definition of Upper, Lower Body Structures in Animation Character

  • This study focuses on the behavioural lexical classification for extracting animation character actions and the analysis of the character's upper and lower body movements. The behaviour and state of characters in the animation industry are crucial, and digital technology is enhancing the industry's value. However, research on animation motion application technology and behavioural lexical classification is still lacking. Therefore, this study aims to classify the predicates enabling animation motion, differentiate the upper and lower body movements of characters, and apply the behavioural lexicon's motion data. The necessity of this research lies in the potential contributions of advanced character motion technology to various industrial fields, and the use of the behavioural lexicon to elucidate and repurpose character motion. The research method applies a grammatical, behavioural, and semantic predicate classification and behavioural motion analysis based on the character's upper and lower body movements.

다지 손을 이용한 문자 쓰기 : 파지 모델링 및 컴플라이언스 특성 해석 (Character Writing Using Multi-Fingered Hands : Grasp Modeling and Compliance Analysis)

  • When people write a character with a pen stably, proper compliance planning is necessary. In this paper, after investigating the property of character writing task, we propose a fundamental grasp model for character writing and also analyze compliance characteristics for effective character writing using multi-fingered hands. For this, the general stiffness relation of multi-fingered hand is firstly described. Next, we investigate the grasp configurations for grasping a pen and then, we analyze the conditions of the specified stiffness matrix in the operational space to successfully and more effectively achieve the given character writing task. Through the analysis, an effective grasp modeling for successful character writing is shown. And also, we conclude that the operational compliance characteristics should be properly planned for character writing, stably and precisely.

Automatic Generation of Training Character Samples for OCR Systems

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method that automatically generates real character images to familiarize existing OCR systems with new fonts. At first, we generate synthetic character images using a simple degradation model. The synthetic data is used to train an OCR engine, and the trained OCR is used to recognize and label real character images that are segmented from ideal document images. Since the OCR engine is unable to recognize accurately all real character images, a substring matching method is employed to fix wrongly labeled characters by comparing two strings; one is the string grouped by recognized characters in an ideal document image, and the other is the ordered string of characters which we are considering to train and recognize. Based on our method, we build a system that automatically generates 2350 most common Korean and 117 alphanumeric characters from new fonts. The ideal document images used in the system are postal envelope images with characters printed in ascending order of their codes. The proposed system achieved a labeling accuracy of 99%. Therefore, we believe that our system is effective in facilitating the generation of numerous character samples to enhance the recognition rate of existing OCR systems for fonts that have never been trained.

수학수업에서 인성 함양을 위한 중학교 교수·학습 자료 개발 연구 (A Study on the development of teaching and learning materials for character education in middle school)

  • 수학과 교육과정에서는 인성 교육을 강조하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수학교실에서 인성교육을 실현하기 위한 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 인성교육의 개념 고찰을 바탕으로 수학수업에서 고려해야할 인성 요인 3가지(이타성 요인, 합리성 요인, 과정지향성 요인)를 추출하였다. 수학교과에서 인성 교육을 위한 수업모형으로 존중적 수행 모형, 독립 수행 모형, 상호주도 모형, 자기주도 모형, 협력중심 모형, 자기이해 모형, 이야기 공감 모형 일곱 가지를 제안하였고, 수업모형에 기초한 교수 학습 자료를 개발한 후 현장 적용을 통해 그 효과성을 검정하였다. 본 연구에서는 교사 설문, 학생 설문, 현장적용에 대한 사전 사후 검사를 통해 수학교과에서도 인성함양을 위한 수학교수학습 실현이 가능하다는 점을 확인하였다.
