The modulo PLL was applied to the implementation of frequency synthesis with the narrow channel spacing, many channels and three different frequency bands. So , VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) designed In this paper is suitable for the device with three different frequency bands 10Hz, 40Hz, 400Hz channel spacing, and 512 channels.

The unsteady flow in three-dimensional cubic cavity with narrow channel at upper region is investigated experimentally for three kinds of Reynolds number, 1*10/sup 4/, 3*10/sup 4/ and 5*10/sup 4/ based on the cavity width and cavity inlet mean flow velocity. Instant velocity vectors are obtained simultaneously at whole field by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry). Wall pressure distributions are estimated using Poisson equation from the velocity data. Results of PIV reveal that severe unsteady flow fluctuation within the cavity are remarkable at all Reynolds numbers and sheared mixing layer phenomena are also found at the region where inlet driving flow is collided with the clock-wise rotating main primary vortex. Instant velocity profiles reveal that deformed forced vortex formation is observed throughout the entire region and spanwise kinetic energy migration is conspicuous.
From the viewpoint of the structural design, the principal problem of the heat exchanger is the potentiality of structural instabilities due to the fluid loading effect during operations. Excessive fluid loading may give rise to permanent deformation of tube and would enentually result in collapse of heat exchanger, which would cause an obstruction of the fluid flow in the narrow channels. In this study, a fluid-structural interaction model was developed to investigate analtically the vibration characteristics of thin rectangular tube used in the heat exchanger. The model consists of two flat plates separated by fluid. The effects of the fluid in the tube was stuided. For analyses, the natural frequency coefficients of the model were investigated for the plate aspect ratios, channel heights, and boundary conditions. As conclusions, the natural frequency coefficients of the tube is found to be affected largely by the fluid loading and the channel heights.
In this paper, we present narrowband interference (NBI) cancelling algorithm applied to wideband spread spectrum system. We introduce multi-carrier transmission technique to overcome hardware inplementation difficulty of wideband spreading above 40MHz and to enhance NBI performance. A direct-sequence spread spectrum receiver using both decision-feedback and two sided LMS filters for combating narrowband interference is applied. We show that performance of this receiver outperforms conventional NBI rejection systems in tone jamming, partial band jamming, and impulsive channel through the bit error ratio evaluation. In addition, we propose a new technique to improve the performance of time domain NBI rejection algorithm sensitive to impulsive channel.

In this paper, we design tripel-mode channel filter using iris optimization technique and investigate its response. The cavity diameter is determined to resonate three orthogonal modes coincidently and inter-cavity iris is optimized in which one slot control one TE-TE mode and other TM-TM mode couplings simultaneously. Since the electric/magnectic field is variable due to slot position, the center position of the slot which handle coupling coefficients of two modes should be designe dwith optimizatin technique presented here. The implemented triple-mode filter in this paper saves its mass and volume upto 33% relating to the dual-mode filter, caused by the reduced number of cavities.
Turbulent flow characteristics on the gap of two parallel channels are investigated using LES(large eddy simulation) approach. Two parallel channels have the same cross-section area and are connected by the narrow channel named the gap. Turbulent flow near the gap makes the flow pulsation along the streamwise direction of two channels. The flow condition is the Reynolds number of $2.5{\times}10^{-5}$. We compared the predicted results with the previous experimental results and presented the axial mean velocity, turbulent intensities, Reynolds shear stresses and turbulent kinetic energy.

The effects of secondary task on driving performance and subjective workload were investigated during a simulated driving. The driving performance was determined by the appropriateness of break timing. The driving simulator was provided by the Korea Road Traffic Safety Association. The subjective workload was tested by using a multidimensional measure such as NASA-TLX. Road was categorized into two types: narrow alley and wide street. The secondary task included pushing the number on the cellular phone, pushing radio channel, and conversing with a passenger. Seventeen subjects volunteered in the study. The data were analyzed by using SAS. Results showed that using the cellular phone and pushing channel during driving caused 3∼22% decline of driving performance and 42∼59% increase of subjective workload respectively. These results indicated that the secondary task could be potentially dangerous although there was not a significant performance decrease due to the notable increase of mental workload. In the future, if we can use a more sensitive and realistic driving simulator, the effects of secondary task under a dynamic driving situation can be investigated.
In the underwater communications, the acoustic channel is in poor communication conditions, such as long propagation delay, narrow bandwidth, and high bit-error rate. For these bad acoustic channels, we propose an efficient automatic repeat request (ARQ) for multi-hop underwater network by using the concepts of concurrent bi-directional transmission, multiple sub-packets, and overhearing data packet instead of the acknowledgement signal. Our results show that the proposed ARQ significantly reduces the transmission latency especially in high BER compared with the existing Stop and Wait ARQ.

In this Paper, a back propagation neural network learning algorithm based on the complex multilayer perceptron is represented for controling and detecting interference of the received signals in cellular mobile communication system. We proposed neural network adaptive correlator which has fast convergence rate and good performance with combining back propagation neural network and the receiver of cellular. We analyzed and proved that NNAC has lower bit error probability than that of traditional RAKE receiver through results of computer simulation in the presence of the tone and narrow - band interference and the co-channel interference.
Experiments are conducted to study bubble flow behavior during the instability of subcooled boiling under uniform and non-uniform transverse heating. The non-uniform heat distribution introduces nonuniform bubble generation and condensation rates on the heated surface, which is different from the uniform heating. These bubble generation and condensation characteristics introduce a non-uniform local pressure distribution in the transverse direction, which creates an extra non-uniform pressure on the flowing bubbles. Therefore, different bubble flow behavior can be observed between uniform and non-uniform heating conditions. In the uniform heating, bubble velocity fluctuations are low, and the bubbles travel straight along the axial direction. In the non-uniform heating, more fluctuation in the bubble velocity occurs at low mass flow rate and high subcooled inlet temperatures, and reverse flow is observed. Additionally, the bubbles show a zigzag trajectory when they pass through the channel, which indicates the existence of cross flow in the transverse direction.
