밀양강 중권역 오염부하 전망 및 삭감 시나리오별 하류 수질예측 (Water Quality Prediction and Forecast of Pollution Source in Milyanggang Mid-watershed each Reduction Scenario)

  • Milyanggang mid-watershed is located in downstream of Nakdong river basin. The pollutants from that watershed have an direct effect on Nakdong river water quality and it's control is important to manage a water quality of Nakdong river. A target year of Milyanggang mid-watershed water environment management plan is 2013. To predict a water quality at downstream of Milyang river, we have investigated and forecasted the pollutant source and it's loading. There are some plan to construction the sewage treatment plants to improve the water quality of Milyang river. Those are considered on predicting water quality. As results, it is shown that the population of Milyanggang mid-watershed is 131,857 and sewerage supply rate is 62.2% and the livestock is 1,775.300 in 2006. It is estimated that the population is 123,921, the sewerage supply rate is 75.5% in 2013. The generated loading of BOD and TP is 40,735 kg/day and 2,872 kg/day in 2006 and discharged loading is 11,818 kg/day and 722 kg/day in 2006 respectively. Discharged loadings were forecasted upward 1.0% of BOD and downward 2.7% of TP by 2013. The results of water quality prediction of Milyanggang 3 site were 1.6 mg/L of BOD and 0.120 mg/L of TP in 2013. It is over the target water quality at that site in 2015 about 6.7% and 20.0% respectively. Consequently, there need another counterplan to reduce the pollutants in that mid-watershed by 2015.

수질오염총량제 시행 이후 낙동강수계 41개 지점의 BOD와 T-P의 목표수질과 초과율의 공간변화 분석 (A Study on the Spatial Variation of Target Water Quality and Excess Rate at 41 Stations in Nakdong River Basin after the Total Maximum Daily Loads)

  • The objective of this study was to assess spatial variation of the target water quality criteria and excess rate in Nakdong river basin after the Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). For this, 41 total water quality monitoring stations were selected BOD and T-P data were collected from 2003 to 2019. The annual average water quality of BOD and T-P were calculated and compared with the target water quality for each stations by peroid. As a result of analyzing the BOD, Kumho A, Nakbon F, Namgang D, Miryang B, Wicheon B and Hoecheon A exceeded the target water quality criteria for two consecutive times. For T-P, Nakbon N, Naeseung B, Miryang A, Hwanggang A and Hoecheon A exceeded the target water quality criteria twice in a row. In the case of T-P, the target water quality excess rate was relatively low after the TMDLs implementation compared to before the TMDLs implementation. However, in the case of BOD, there was no difference in the target water quality excess rate before and after TMDLs. As a result, the overall annual average water quality shows a decreasing trend, but it is necessary to manage the water quality for the Nakdong river basin that exceed the target water quality.

동적수질해석모형의 개발과 낙동강에의 적용 (Development and Application of Dynamic Water Quality Model in Nakdong River)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 저유량에서 발산하는 문제를 해결하여 다양한 흐름과 불규칙한 하도단면을 반영하는 안정적이고 정교한 동적수질해석모형을 개발하는데 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 모형들의 저유량에서 발산하는 문제를 해결하고자 확산파 운동방정식 기법을 이용하여 수리해석모형인 DyHYD를 개발하였으며, 수질해석모형은 자생 BOD와 수온, DO, TN, TP 등 12가지 수질농도를 계산할 수 있는 DyQUAL을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형의 적용성을 검토하기 위하여 가상하도 및 실제 낙동강유역에서 모의를 수행한 후 실측치와 비교 검토함으로써 모형의 적용성과 신뢰성을 검토하였다. 모형의 수행결과를 관측치와의 비교를 통해 Nash-Sutcliffe 계수를 산정하였으며, 보정과정에서는 유량과 BOD, TN, TP의 Nash-Sutcliffe 계수는 0.391에서 0.591의 범위를 나타내며, 검증과정에서는 0.704에서 0.902의 범위를 나타내었다.

낙동강 중류부에서의 확정론적 수질해석 (Deterministic Water Quality Analysis in the Midstream of the Nakdong River)

  • 낙동강 중류부에서의 수질해석을 위한 확정론적 수질모형을 개발하였으며 확정론적 수질해석 모형 RQ1은 수리, 수문학적 해석을 위한 RQ1-1과 수질해석을 위한 RQ1-2로 구성되어 있다. 낙동강 중류부의 수질 해석을 위하여 왜관에서 진동에 이르는 이 유역의 월별 평균유량과 최소유량을 산정하였고 하도단면의 기하학적 특성을 기초로 하여 불등유해석을 실시하므로써 수질해석에 필요한 수리학적 특성치를 계산하였다. 확정론적 수질해석모형에 의한 수질해석 결과 BOD의 최대지점은 금호강 합류점 또는 진천천 합류점, DO의 최소 지점은 현풍하류부로 나타났다. 수질모형에 의한 계산결과치는 수개지점에서의 실측지와 합리적인 범위내에서 일치되고 있었으며 이 유역에서 목표수질에 도달하기 위한 금호강에서의 최대 BOD 허용부하량을 산정하여 제시하였다.

낙동강유역 과수재배지의 단위면적당 비점오염부하량 산정에 관한 연구 (The Calculation of NPS Load per Unit Area in Orchard to the Nakdong River Basin)

  • In this study, Calculated the nonpoint sources(NPS) load per unit area about various rainy events in vineyard of Nakdong River basin. NPS monitoring and calculation for NPS load per unit area were estimated from 'Investigation method of precipitation discharge(National Institute of Environmental Research, 2007)'. The evaluation of applicability for NPS load per unit by compared with prior research data and Total Maximum Daily Load(TMDL) data. Five target areas were each $2000m^2$, $1800m^2$, $1943m^2$, $2484m^2$, $864m^2$ and located in Gyeongsangbukdo Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbukdo Sangju, Gyeongsangnamdo Hapcheon in Korea. Since fruits were the only crop on the target area, the characteristics of stormwater discharge at survey sites could be evaluated independently. A total of 115 rainfall events in the Orchard area during five years(2008-2012) was surveyed, and 38 of them became stormwater discharge. In the Nakdong River watershed, average of event mean concentrations(EMCs) in Orchard area for biochemical oxyzen demand(BOD), Chemical oxyzen demand(COD), total nitrogen(T-N), total phosphorus(T-P) were 2.0mg/L, 10.1mg/L, 3.195mg/L, 0.578mg/L, respectively. NPS load per unit area in Orchard area showed BOD : $2.0kg/km^2{\cdot}day$, COD : $10.2kg/km^2{\cdot}day$, T-N : $3.220kg/km^2{\cdot}day$, T-P : $0.606kg/km^2{\cdot}day$.

낙동강 유역 BOD, COD 및 TOC의 수문학적 플럭스 추정 (Estimating BOD, CDO and TOC Hydrologic Flux in Nakdong River Basin)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 시행되고 있는 오염총량관리제 모니터링 시스템에 적용가능한 부하량 추정기법에 대하여 제시하였다. 수정 TANK 모형을 통하여 8일 간격 유량자료의 1일 간격 유량자료로의 확장을 시행하여 유황곡선의 작성을 가능하게 하였다. 7변수 대수 선형 모형 적용 통한 BOD, COD 및 TOC 부하량 추정에서 만족스러운 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 연구의 적용의 일환으로, 낙동강유역의 BOD, COD 및 TOC 항목의 부하량 유황 곡선을 작성하여 전체적인 분포를 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통하여 파악된 부하량 유황곡선은 해당 지점의 현재 전체적인 수질현황을 확률적으로 파악할 수 있음과 동시에 이를 시각적으로 도시할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다.

낙동강 본류에서 장기관측 자료를 이용한 DO, BOD, COD와 그 영향인자의 상관관계 및 TOC 분해율 (Analyses of TOC Efficiency and Correlation between DO, BOD, COD and Influence Factors using Long-term Observation Data in the Main Stream of Nakdong River)

  • Herein, we analyzed the spatial and temporal variation of DO (dissolved oxygen), BOD (biochemical oxygen demand), and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) with the monthly mean observed data for 10 years (2008~2017) in the main stream of the Nakdong River. The water quality of the stations declined in a downstream direction, with the BOD and COD showing their highest values at the ST5 station. From the analysis of the correlation of water quality components at 10 stations, the correlation coefficient between the DO and water temperature was more than -0.90, and that between BOD and Chl-a was 0.48~0.85, and that between COD and TOC was more than 0.65 except for the ST5 and ST10 stations. From the regression analysis using data collected from all stations, the water temperature and DO decreased linearly with a coefficient of determination of 0.90, and the Chl-a and BOD could be described by increasing power functions with a coefficient of determination of 0.83. The TOC and COD followed increasing logarithm functions with a coefficient of determination of 0.58. The TOC efficiency at the 10 stations was estimated and the average efficiencies of BOD and COD were 15.5~36.3% and 57.4~89.6%, respectively.

낙동강 중류유역의 지역별 비점오염 특성 (The Regional Characteristics of Nonpoint Source Pollutant Loads in Mid-stream of Nakdong River)

  • The characteristics of non-point source pollutant loads in middle-stream of Nakdong River Were studied through analysis of pollutant loads of 8 sub-watersheds divided based on administrative district. The pollutant concentration of each sub-watershed was collected from Nakdong-River Water Research Institute and Daegu Regional Environmental Office, respectively. Pollution items analysed in this study were BOD, SS, T-N and T-P. High degree of non-point pollution was observed from Gumi, Goryeong, Gyeongsan, Daegu and Sungju, and pollution was usually increased during rainy season. This result indicates that a given pollution condition within the watershed can be more sensitive than location factor to the level of water quality. The main sources of non-point pollution were population and livestock, as well as landuse factor, and were found to significantly contribute to the water pollution. Alternative solutions for controlling pollution sources, therefore, should be provided to meet target levels of water quality in this region.

Factor analysis of the trend of stream quality in Nakdong River

  • The goal of this paper is to investigate the trend of stream quality and the quality of water in Nakdong river by the method of factor analysis. It used the fourteen different monthly time series data such as pH, BOD, COD, SS, TN and etc. of the thirty four of Nakdong River measurement points from Jan. 1998 to Dec. 2006. The result of factor analysis is that the factor 1 results from organic water pollution is occupied 29.288% such as BOD, COD, TN and EC, and the factor 2 explained from sewage and a seasonal variation is occupied 16.467% such as SS.
