  • Structure-borne noise is the interior noise that results from the low frequency vibrational energy transmitted through those body and joint parts. The relation between the excitation of powertrain and resultant interior sound must be analyzed in order to identify and predict the structure borne noise. The method of acoustic source excitation is preferred than the method of mechanical force excitation to measure the NTF(noise transfer function). Because acoustical method is more convenient and reliable. In this paper, to analysis and identify vehicle interior noise by powertrain is performed, and the vibro-acoustic transfer function is extracted from experimental measurement. These are important step of TPA(transfer path analysis) to identify effect of interior noise resulted from powertrain running excitation.

A Sham Experiment for the Measurement of Nonlinear Pulse Propagation Characteristics of Blood Vessel Using Bispectral Analysis (바이스펙트럼해석을 이용한 혈관의 비선형 맥동전파특성 계측에 대한 모의실험)

  • In this paper, a new try to measure nonlinear propagation characteristics of the pulse along blood vessel by using bispectral analysis is introduced, and the possibility of its application to the medical diagnosis is shown. In this method, the waveforms of pulse motion of blood vessel at two separated measuring points on the wall were detected from Doppler frequency modulation of transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then the auto- and crossbispectrum of detected waveforms are calculated to estimate the quadratic NTF (nonlinear transfer function) between the two measuring positions. In order to show relationships between the NTF and the nonlinear propagation characteristics, computer simulations have been performed. As the propagation distance increases, harmonic frequency components in NTF increases broadly due to the nonlinear effect in the propagation of blood pulse. In order to represent this phenomena quantitatively, we propose a new parameter, dispersion ratio of WTF. Basic experimental system was constructed by using 3.5MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the preliminary experiments were carried out on ague phantom and human body. Experimental results showed the validity of the measurement system enoughly.

  • Alternate Data Streams (ADS) in NTFS originally has developed to provide compatibility with Macintosh Hierarchical File System. However, it is being used by the malware writers in order to support hiding malwares or data for the purpose of anti-forensics. Therefore identifying if hidden ADSs exist and extracting them became one of the most important component in computer forensics. This paper proposes a method to detect ADSs using MFT information. Experiment reveals that proposed method is better in performance and detection rate then others. This method supports not only identification of ADSs which are being used by the operating systems but also investigation of both live systems and evidence images. Therefore it is appropriate for using forensic purpose.

Extraction behaviors of platinum group metals in simulated high-level liquid waste by a hydrophobic ionic liquid bearing an amino moiety

  • A hydrophobic ionic liquid including an amino moiety ([DiOcAPmim][NTf2]) was synthesized. Its extraction behaviors towards Pd(II), Ru(III), Rh(III) were investigated in nitric acid aqueous solution as a function of contact time, effect of concentration of nitric acid, effect of temperature, and effect of co-existing metal ions. The extraction kinetics of Pd(II) was fairly fast and extraction equilibrium can be attained within only 5 min under the [HNO3] = 2.05 M. When [HNO3]< 1 M, the extraction percentage of Pd(II), Ru(III), Rh(III) were all above 80%. When [HNO3] reached 2 M, all of the extraction percentage decreased and in an order of Pd(II)>Ru(III)>Rh(III). When [HNO3]> 2 M, the extraction performance gradually recovered. The effect of temperature can slightly affect the extraction performance of Pd(II). Furthermore, in simulated high-level liquid waste, [DiOcAPmim][NTf2] showed a better preference towards Pd(II) under the interference of various other co-existing metal ions.

  • 시스템의 안전성을 평가하기 위해 프롤로그 기반의 명세 언어인 SPSL을 사용하여 보안 모델을 정형적으로 설계하였다. 보안 모델은 시스템의 3가지 컴포넌트, 시스템 보안 상태(system security states), 접근 통제 규칙(access control rules), 그리고 보안 기준(security criteria)으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 NTFS의 다중 사용 권한에 대한 보안 모델을 만들어서 3가지 컴포넌트를 명세하고 안전성 문제 해결 도구인 SPR[1]을 이용하여 검증하였다.

Expressional Profiling of Molecules Associated with Epigenetic Methylation-Related Fertility in the Rat Testis during Postnatal Period

  • The male reproduction is precisely controlled by a number of intrinsic and extrinsic factors. These factors usually involve in expressional regulation of various molecules influencing on sperm production in the testis. A number of ways are employed to control the transcription of specific genes, including epigenetic modifications of DNA and histone molecules. DNA methylation of CpG dinucleotides is a commonly used regulatory mechanism for testicular genes associated with the fertility. Previous studies have demonstrated the infertility induced by improper DNA methylation of these genes. In the present research, we attempted to determine transcriptional expression of some of these genes in the rat testis at different postnatal ages using real-time PCR analysis. These genes include neurotrophin 3 (Ntf3), insulin-like growth factor II (Igf2), JmjC-domain-containing histone demethylase 2A 1 (Jhm2da), paired box 8 transcription factor (Pax8), small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide N (Snrpn), and 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (Mthfr). The expression levels of Ntf3, Igf2, and Snrpn genes were the highest at the neonatal age, followed by transient decreases at the prepubertal age. Expression of Jhm2da and Mthfr genes were continuously increased from the neonate to 1 year of age. The levels of Pax8 mRNA at the early ages were higher than those at the later ages of postnatal development. These findings suggest that expression of some fertility-associated testicular genes in the rat during postnatal period could be differentially regulated by the control of the degree of DNA methylation.

Esterification of Free Fatty Acids by Strong Acidic Ionic Liquids (강산성 이온성 액체에 의한 유리지방산의 에스테르화 연구)

  • The esterification efficiency of several ionic liquids has been investigated to determine the feasibility for the conversion of free fatty acids to alkylester. Five ionic liquid catalysts having strong acidity, BPC[$AlCl_3$], BMIM[$Bf_4$], BMIM[$Pf_6$], EMIM[$Ntf_2$], BMIM[Otf], have been employed in this work. BPC[$AlCl_3$] has the highest esterification efficiency among the ionic liquid catalysts. Over 90% conversion efficiency has been achieved in the esterification of the simulated used cooking oil by BPC[$AlCl_3$] with two hours reaction time. Since BPC[$AlCl_3$] has several advantages such as high esterification activity, ease of separation from reaction mixture and reusability after treatment procedure, it will be a promising catalyst for the conversion of free fatty acids to esters in waste fats.

Preparation of Silver Nanoparticles in Ultrasonic Vibration-Induced Nanodroplets of Isopropyl Alcohol in Combination with Ionic Liquids

  • Silver nanoparticles (<10 nm) were prepared in ultrasonic vibration-induced nanodroplets of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) in combination with hydrophobic room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs). The Ag-precursor used were silver (I) complex, Ag$_2$(ehac)$_2$(eha)$_2$ (ehac = 2-ethylhexylammonium carbamate; eha = 2-ethylhexylamine), in IPA, while 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium-based ionic liquids bearing $SbF_6^-$, $PF_6^-$ and $NTf_2^-$ as counter anions were used as RTILs. During sonication for 10-90 min at room temperature, uniform silver nanoparticles with mean sizes of 2 to 8 nm were rapidly synthesized. Transmission electron micrographs also confirmed that silver nanoparticles have a spherical shape and diverse sizes depending on the reaction time (10-90 min).
