새로운 분석법으로서의 2D NMR 분광법에 관한 이론적 배경 및 고찰

  • 분자구조, 동력학, 그리고 분자들의 화학분응에 관한 정확한 지식은 분자들의 기능과 성질을 이해하는 데 중요한 정보를 제공한다. 2D NMR 분광법의 개발은 용액상의 분자들에 관한 이러한 의문을 해결하는 데 결정적인 역할을 하게 되었다. 그동안 아주 다양한 NMR기술들이 개발되어 왔으며 현재 그들에 대한 이용이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 성공적인 2D NMR 분광법의 적용을 위해서는 적당한 기계뿐만 아니라 실험실의 정확한 선택 및 최적 조건의 변수들을 선택해야 하며 스펙트럼의 세밀하고도 정확한 해석을 필요로 한다. 곱연산자 방식(product operator formalism)의 도입은 펄스 FT NMR 분광학을 정성, 정량적으로 이해하도록 하는 것을 가능케 했으며, 이번 해설은 연속적으로 주어지는 펄스의 이해를 위해서 필요로 하는 상의 순환(phase cycle) 및 곱연산자 방식을 이용하여 다양한 2D NMR 기술의 이해를 돕고, 분석기기로서 2D NMR 분광법이 널리 사용 및 활용되어지고자 하는 데 목적이 있다.

1.5T 자기공명영상기기에서 수소 자기공명분광법을 이용한 모델용액 내 포도당의 정량분석 및 임상적용 가능성에 대한 연구

  • 목적: 1.5T 생체용 자기공명영상기기를 이용한 수소자기공명분광법으로 용액 내 물질의 정량분석에 대한 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 0.01%에서 50%까지의 여러 농도를 갖는 포도당+증류수 혼합액의 모델용액을 만들어 생체용 자기공명영상기기와 시험관 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) 분광기에서 각각 수소 자기공명분광법을 시행하여 스펙트럼을 얻었다. 또한 12명의 당뇨환자에서 방광내의 소변에 대해 생체용 자기공명영상기기에서 스펙트럼을 얻고 소변을 추출하여 시험관 NMR 분광기에서 수소자기공명분광법을 시행하였다 각각의 방법으로 얻은 스펙트럼 상에서 포도당 농도에 따른 포도당/물 피크의 면적 비의 변화를 구하였고, 통계처리는 상관분석과 단순선형회귀분석을 시행하였고 회귀식을 산출하였다. 또한 생체용 자기공명영상기기를 이용하여 얻은 결과가 객관적인지 알아보기 위해 시험관 NMR 분광기에서 얻은 결과와의 상관관계를 분석하였다.

Theory of NMR Spectoscopy and Its Application in Geoenvironmental Sciences (NMR 분광법의 원리와 지구환경과학에의 응용)

  • With the advent of super-conducting magnet, NMR spectroscopy becomes a very important tool in geology as well as in chemistry. $^{29}Si$ and $^{27}Al$ which are the main components of minerals and contain structural informations, are useful major targets for the NMR study in geology, but some other elements including alkali cations such as $^{23}Na$ are also one of them. NMR can be applied to many different fields. For example, it can be applied to study smaller range of structure (in molecular level) than XRD and TEM. NMR provides us with structural informations such as order-disorder in Al and Si distribution, oxygen coordination number, and distribution of other cations. Another important information that we can obtain from NMR is not only the static structural informations, but also the molecular dynamics. This dynamic informations of molecules also enable us to figure out the frequency of molecular motion and activation energy. Structure of amorphous minerals and chemistry and structure of natural organic materials are also studied by NMR.

  • A series of substituted styryl 4-methoxy-1-naphthyl ketones [(2E)-1-(4-methoxy-1-naphthyl)-3-phenyl-2-propen-1-ones] were synthesized using facile method of microwave assisted condensation reaction. The yield of chalcones is more than 90%. They are characterized by their physical constants, micro analysis, infrared (KBr, 4000-400 cm?1) and NMR both 1H and 13C spectral data. From infrared spectra, the s-cis and s-trans stretching vibrations of carbonyl group, from NMR spectra the ethylenic proton and carbon chemical shifts (ppm) are assigned. These spectral data are correlated with various Hammett substituent constants. From the results of statistical analysis the effect of substituents on CO, ? and ? proton and carbons are explained.

  • Structural studies of membrane proteins, importantly involving interpretation of genomics information, many signaling pathway and major drug target for drug discovery, are having difficulty in characterizing the function using conventional solution nmr spectroscopy and x-ray crystallography because phospholipid bilayers hindered fast tumbling and crystallization. Here, we studied the structure of the pf1 coat protein in oriented phospholipid bilayers by home-built solid-state NMR probe. Bacteriophage pf1 was purified from Paeudomonas Aeruginosa and coat protein of bacteriophage pf1 was isolated from DNA and other proteins.

  • Xenon-129 NMR technique has been developed since 1980 as a new method for the characterization of microporous materials such as zeolites, activated carbons and alumina by using chemical shift and linewidth variations in $^{129}Xe$ NMR of adsorbed xenon gas. This NMR technique has been known to be very effective to probe the locational and the chemical changes of the supported metallic species as well as the physicochemical change of the support material. Recently, this method has been successfully applied for the characterization of amorphous materials such as activated carbons, silica and alumina. Basic principles, experimental techniques and recent applications of the $^{129}Xe$ NMR method for the study of heterogeneous catalysts are introduced in this paper.

1Determination of optical purity of N-acetyl-1-naphthylethylamine by chiral chromatography and NMR spectroscopy (키랄 크로마토그래피와 NMR 분광법에 의한 N-acetyl-1-naphthylethylamine의 광학순도 측정)

  • (R)-N-3,5-dinitrobenzoyl (DNB) phenylglycinol derived chiral selector was used as a HPLC chiral stationary phase (CSP) for the resolution of racemic N-acylnaphthylalkylamines. In this study, determination of optical purity was performed by both chiral chromatography and NMR spectroscopy by using the (R)-phenylglycinol derived chiral selector. The data of accuracy and precision of each optical purity value are calculated from the results of NMR and HPLC experiments by comparing with true value. Average error of the NMR method was +2.2% with average RSD of 4.54%, while that of HPLC method was -3.5% with average RSD of 3.23%.

  • $^{51}V$ NMR and cyclic voltammetry studies on the interaction of vanadate and N-benzyliminodiacetate (Bz-IDA) in aqueous solution have been studied. From the NMR spectra two $^{51}V$ NMR peaks resulting at -515.5 and -500.1 ppm, due to the complexations between vanadate(V) and Bz-IDA at pH 5. has been observed. From the cyclic voltammograms the reduction-oxidation of the vanadate(V) complex has been found to be one-electron reaction.

  • Alkylbenzenes used as synthetic lubricant base oils have been analyzed to find the quantity of mono- and di-substituted alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon compositions and the number of carbon atoms in alkyl chains by $^{13}C$-NMR, near-infrared, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Also, linear long chain alkylated benzene in the engine lubricants was analyzed quantitatively by infrared spectroscopy.

  • 분자 크기가 너무 커 가스 하이드레이트를 형성하지 않는다고 알려진 n-펜탄과 n-헥산이 다른 구조-H 형성 화합물과 혼합되어 사용될 경우 구조-H 동공 내에 함께 포접되는 것으로 확인되었다. 구조-H 하이드레이트의 형성 및 미세구조 분석은 고체 NMR 및 X-선 회절 분광법을 이용하여 확인하였다. 이러한 혼합 화합물에서 보이는 구조-H 하이드레이트 형성은 전체적인 구조-H 형성 화합물에서 나타나는 일반적 특징인 것으로 여겨진다.
