CuO 첨가된 저온소결 (Na,K,Li)(Nb,Sb,Ta)O3계 세라믹스의 압전 및 유전 특성 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Properties of Low Temperature Sintering (Na,K,Li)(Nb,Sb,Ta)O3 Ceramics Doped with CuO)

  • In this paper, in order to develop outstanding Pb-free piezoelectric composition ceramics, the $(Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3+0.3wt%Bi_2O_3+0.4wt%Fe_2O_3+xwt%CuO$ (x= 0~0.8 wt%)(abbreviated as NKL-NST) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been synthesized using the ordinary solid state reaction method. The effects of CuO-doping on the structure and electrical properties of the NKL-NST ceramics were systematically studied. The results show that the ceramics exhibit a pure perovskite structure with orthorhombic phase at room temperature, and secondary phase was found in the ceramics. The 0.4 wt%CuO added ceramics sintered at $950^{\circ}C$ showed the optimum properties of piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient(kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) : $d_{33}=213$[pC/N], kp= 0.43, Qm= 423,respectively.

NKN계 세라믹을 이용한 음향방출 센서의 감도 특성 (Sensitivity Properties of Acoustic Emission Sensor Using NKN System Ceramics)

  • In this study, in order to develop coupled vibration mode piezoelectric devices for Acoustic Emission (abbreviated as AE) sensor application with outstanding displacement and piezoelectric properties have been simulated by ATILA FEM program. And, From the results of ATILA simulation, the AE sensor specimen, obtained superior electromechanical coupling factor and displacement, when the size of specimen is $3.45mm{\Phi}{\times}3.45mm$ with ratio of diameter/thickness(${\Phi}/T$)= 1.0. Therefore, AE sensor was fabricated by (Na,K,Li)(Nb,Ta) $O_3$(abbreviated as NKL-NT) system piezoelectric ceramics using coupled vibration mode. The piezoelectric properties of NKL-NT ceramics was exhibited that piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), piezoelectric voltage constant($g_{33}$) and electro mechanical coupling factor($k_p$) have the excellent values of 261[pC/N], 40.10[$10^{-3}Vm/N$], and 0.44, respectively. The manufactured piezoelectric device with ratio of ${\Phi}/T$= 1.0 indicated the optimum values of resonant frequency(fr)= 556.5[kHz], antiresonant frequency(fa)=631.1[kHz], and effective electromechanical coupling factor(keff)= 0.473. The maximum sensitivity of the coupled vibration mode AE sensor was 55[dB] at the resonant frequency of 75[kHz]. The results show that the coupled vibration mode piezoelectric device is a promising candidate for the application AE sensor piezoelectric device.

무연 (Na1,K)NbO3 계 세라믹스를 이용한 AE센서의 감도특성 (Sensitivity Characteristics of Acoustic Emission(AE) Sensor using the Lead-free (Na1,K)NbO3 Ceramics)

  • In this study, Acoustic emission(AE) sensors were fabricated using lead-free piezoelectric ceramics for prohibiting environmental pollution. Structure of AE sensors were designed as Langvin type air backing form. Here, the piezoelectic element was used as PZT(EC-65)(AE1) and NKN(AE2), respectively. The measured resonant frequency, the maximum sensitivity frequency and sensitivity of AE sensors were as follows ; 143 kHz, 29.4 kHz and 69.3 dB in AE1 and 179 kHz, 29.4 kHz and 66.3dB in AE2, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop excellent lead free piezoelectric ceramics for piezoelectric actuators application, $Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.50}K_{0.50})_{0.96}[(Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.04})_{0.994}Co_{0.015}]O_3+0.0025SrO+0.15\;wt%K_2CO_3+x\;wt%Nb_2O_5$ (x = 0 - 0.5 wt%) (abbreviated as LNKNTSCS-xN) ceramics were fabricated by a conventional sintering technique. the phase structure, microstructure and electrical properties were investigated with a emphasis on the influence of the $Nb_2O_5$ content. High electrical properties of $d_{33}$=234 pC/N, kp=0.392, ${\varepsilon}_r$=1,395, ${\rho}=4.70g/cm^3$ were obtained from the specimen with x=0.4 wt%, which suggests that the composition ceramics is a promising lead-free piezoelectric material.

  • In this paper, in order to develop excellent Pb-free composition ceramics for ultrasonic sensor. The $SnO_2$-doped ($Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3$)(abbreviated as NKL-NST) ceramics have been synthesized using the ordinary solid state reaction method. The effect of $SnO_2$-doping on their dielectric and piezoelectric properties was investigated. The ceramics doped with 0 wt% $SnO_2$ have the optimum values of piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), piezoelectric figure of merit($d_{33}.g_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient($k_p$) and density : $d_{33}=195[pC/N]$, $d_{33}.g_{33}=5.62pm^2/N.kp=0.40$, $density=4.436[g/cm^3]$. suitable for duplex ultrasonic sensor application.

  • In this study, $(1-x)(Na_{0.52}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3-x(Bi_{0.5}(Na_{0.7}K_{0.3})_{0.5}ZrO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by BNKZ substitution using a conventional solid-state method to develop excellent lead-free piezoelectric ceramics for piezoelectric actuators; their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were then investigated. All specimens were in the orthorhombic phase. $NKL-NSTO_3$ ceramics with x=0.01 showed excellent piezoelectric properties. The density (${\rho}$), piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient ($k_p$), mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$), and dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$) had optimized values of $4.56g/cm^3$, 208 pC/N, 0.43, 96, and 975, respectively.

  • In this paper, piezoelectric ceramics with the composition of $(Na_{0.525}K_{0.4425}Li_{0.0375})(Nb_{0.8975}Sb_{0.065}Ta_{0.0375})O_3+0.3wt%\;CoO+x\;CuO$ ($0.005{\leq}x{\leq}0.025$) (abbreviated to NKL-NST) were fabricated for ultrasonic sensor application. The effects of CuO addition and sintering on the microstructure and the piezoelectric properties of the NKL-NST ceramics were systematically studied. Excellent piezoelectric properties such as electromchanical coupling $factor(k_p)=0.415$, piezoelectric constant $(d_{33})=166pC/N$ and piezoelectric figure of merit $d_{{33}*}g_{33}=5.47pm^2/N$ were obtained from the 2.5 mol% CuO doped NKL-NST+0.3 wt%CoO ceramics sintered at $1,000^{\circ}C$ for 3 h.

  • In this study, lead-free $(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5+X})(Nb_{0.96}Sb_{0.04})O_3+0.2mol%La_2O_3+1.2mol%$ $K_4CuNb_8O_{23}$ (X= 0~0.025) ceramics were fabricated by normal sintering method at $1060^{\circ}C$ for 5 h. Microstructures, piezoelectric and dielectric properties of specimens were investigated with special emphasis in the influence of Na excess addition. The grain size of specimen was slightly decreased with increasing Na content. In the 2 [mol%] Na excess addition of NKNS ceramics, density, electromechanical coupling factor, piezoelectric constant and electromechancal quality factor of specimen were found to reach the optimum values of 4.25 [$g/cm^3$], 0.4357, 154.43 [pC/N] and 580, respectively.

  • 현재 압전재료로써 사용되고 있는 PZT계 세라믹스는 우수한 압전 및 유전특성으로 초음파 센서, 압전변압기, 액츄에이터, 필터, 레조네이터와 같은 여러 응용분야에 널리 사용되어지고 있다. 그러나 납을 60%이상 포함하므로 환경오염에 의하여 그 사용에 대한 규제가 강화되고 있어 최근에는 납을 함유하지 않은 무연 환경친화형 압전세라믹스가 주목받고 있다. 현재 무연 조성 세라믹스에는 텅스텐-브론즈 형, 비스머스 레이어형, 페로브스카이트 형 등이 이으며, 그 중 페로보스카이트 혈을 제외하고는 보통 소성법 조제시 낮은 압전특성을 갖는다. 그러므로 압전특성을 증가시키기 위하여 Hot pressing, Hot forging, RTGG(Reactive Template Grain Growth), SPS(Spark Plasma Sintering), 그러나 이는 무연 세라믹스의 대량생산 과정에서 어려운 문제를 가지고 있고, 저가격 관점에서 볼 때 보통소성법이 보다 바람직하다. 그래서 보통소성법으로 NKN세라믹스의 소결성을 향상 시키고 비교적 높은 압전특성을 얻기 위해서 $LiSbO_3$, $LiNbO_3$, $LiTaO_3$, alkaline-earth(Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) 등을 첨가한 논문들이 보고되고 있으며, 이러한 재료들의 kp는 대략 0.3-0.4를 나타내고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 소결온도를 낮추고자 $Ag_2O$를 소결조제로 사용하였고 유전 및 압전특성을 높이고자 소결시간 변화시켜 시편을 제작하여 NKN 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전특성을 조사하였다.

전단 모드 압전 에너지 하베스팅용 친환경 세라믹 소재 (Eco-friendly Ceramic Materials for Shear Mode Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting)

  • Eco-friendly $(Na,K)NbO_3$ (NKN)-based piezoelectric ceramic materials were fabricated by conventional ceramic method for shear mode piezoelectric energy harvesting application. $NKN-LiTaO_3$ (LT) based compositions were adopted for the high $d_{15}{\times}g_{15}$ which is proportional to harvested energy density. The composition $0.935(Na_{0.535}K_{0.485})NbO_3-0.065LiTaO_3$ was found to be lie on the boundary of tetragonal and orthorhombic phases. With reducing Ta content, the dielectric constant decreased gradually while maintaining high $d_{15}$, which resulted in increased $d_{15}{\times}g_{15}$. The composition $0.935(Na_{0.535}K_{0.485})NbO_3-0.065Li(Nb_{0.990}Ta_{0.010})O_3$ was found to possess excellent piezoelectric and electromechanical properties ($d_{15}{\times}g_{15}=29\;pm^2/N$, $d_{15}$ = 417 pC/N, $k_{15}$ = 0.55), and high curie temperature ($T_c=455^{\circ}C$).
