NHPP Unification Scheme for the Software Reliability Estimation (소프트웨어 신뢰도 산출에 관한 NHPP이론의 단일화 방안)

  • 본 논문에서는 NHPP에 기초한 여러 기존 소프트웨어 신뢰도 모델들이 가중 산술, 가중 기하, 또는 가중 조화평균의 개념을 적용하여 어떻게 유도되는가를 기술한다. 그 외에도, 이러한 3개의 가중치 평균에 근거하여 유사산술의 관점으로부터 좀더 일반적인 NHPP 모델을 제안한다. 상기 3개 평균 외에 변환의 파라미터 계열을 포함한 좀더 일반적인 변환을 공식화한다. 이러한 일반적인 프레임웍 하에서 기존의 NHPP를 입증하고 여러 가지 새로운 NHPP클 유도한다. 우리는 이러한 접근법들이 상이한 조건 하의 여러 가지 잘 알려진 모델들을 포함하는 것으로 한다.

  • Infinite failure NHPP models for a record value satisfies mode proposed in the literature exhibit either monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, propose comparative study of software reliability model using Erlang distribution, Rayleigh and Gumbel distribution. Equations to estimate the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation of infinite failure NHPP model based on failure data collected in the form of interfailure times are developed. For the sake of proposing distribution, we used to the special pattern. Analysis of failure data set using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, goodness-of-fit test, bias tests is presented.

The Comparative Study for Software Reliability Model Based on Finite and Infinite Failure Exponential Power NHPP (유한 및 무한고장 지수파우어 NHPP 소프트웨어 신뢰성모형에 대한 비교 연구)

  • NHPP software reliability models for failure analysis can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, finite failure NHPP models that assuming the expected value of the defect and infinite failures NHPP models that repairing software failure point in time reflects the situation, were presented for comparing property. Commonly used in the field of software reliability based on exponential power distribution software reliability model finite failures and infinite failures were presented for comparison problem. As a result, finite fault model is effectively infinite fault models, respectively. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation was conducted. In this research, software developers to identify software failure property some extent be able to help is considered.

A Study on Development Cost Attributes Analysis of NHPP Software Reliability Model Based on Rayleigh Distribution and Inverse Rayleigh Distribution (레일리 분포와 역-레일리 분포에 근거한 NHPP 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형의 개발비용 속성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, after applying the finite failure NHPP Rayleigh distribution model and NHPP Inverse Rayleigh distribution model which are widely used in the field of software reliability to the software development cost model, the attributes of development cost and optimal release time were compared and analyzed. To analyze the attributes of software development cost, software failure time data was used, parametric estimation was applied to the maximum likelihood estimation method, and nonlinear equations were calculated using the bisection method. As a result, it was confirmed that Rayleigh model is relatively superior to Inverse Rayleigh model because software development cost is relatively low and software release time is also fast. Through this study, the development cost attributes of the Rayleigh model and the Inverse Rayleigh model without the existing research examples were newly analyzed. In addition, we expect that software developers will be able to use this study as a basic guideline for exploring software reliability improvement method and development cost attributes.

  • The inverse Rayleigh model distribution and Rayleigh distribution model were widely used in the field of reliability station. In this paper applied using the finite failure NHPP models in order to growth model. In other words, a large change in the course of the software is modified, and the occurrence of defects is almost inevitable reality. Finite failure NHPP software reliability models can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, proposes the inverse Rayleigh and Rayleigh software reliability growth model, which made out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on mean square error (MSE) and coefficient of determination($R^2$), for the sake of efficient model, were employed. In order to insurance for the reliability of data, Laplace trend test was employed. In many aspects, Rayleigh distribution model is more efficient than the reverse-Rayleigh distribution model was proved. From this paper, software developers have to consider the growth model by prior knowledge of the software to identify failure modes which can helped.

  • In this paper we consider the NHPP software reliability model. And we deal with the maximum likelihood estimation and the Bayesian estimation with conjugate prior for parameter inference in the mean value function of Goel-Okumoto model (1979). The parameter estimates for the proposed model is presented by MLE and Bayes estimator in data set. We compare the predicted number of faults with the actual data set using the proposed mean value function.

A Study on the Property Analysis of Software Reliability Model with Shape Parameter Change of Finite Fault NHPP Erlang Distribution (유한고장 NHPP 어랑분포의 형상모수 변화에 따른 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형의 속성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Software reliability has the greatest impact on computer system reliability and software quality. For this software reliability analysis, In this study, we compare and analyze the trends of the properties affecting the reliability according to the shape parameters of Erlang distribution based on the finite fault NHPP. Software failure time data were used to analyze software failure phenomena, the maximum likelihood estimation method was used for parameter estimation. As a result, it can be seen that the intensity function is effective because it shows a tendency to decrease with time when the shape parameters a = 1 and a = 3. However, the pattern of the mean value function showed an underestimation pattern for the true values when the shape parameters a = 1 and a = 2, but it was found to be more efficient when a = 3 because the error width from the true value was small. Also, in the reliability evaluation of the future mission time, the stable and high trend was shown when the shape parameters a = 1 and a = 3, but on the contrary, when a = 2, the reliability decreased with the failure time. Through this study, the property of finite fault NHPP Erlang model according to the change of shape parameter without existing research case was newly analyzed, and new research information that software developers can use as basic guideline was presented.

  • Coverage-based NHPP SRGMs have been introduced in order to incorporate the coverage growth behavior into the NHPP SRGMs. The coverage growth function representing the coverage growth behavior during testing is thus an essential factor of the coverage-based NHPP SRGMs. This paper proposes a class of discrete time coverage growth functions and illustrates its application to real data sets.

  • 소프트웨어의 신뢰도는 하드웨어의 신뢰도와 고장메타니즘이 다르므로 하드웨어의 신뢰도 모델을 그대로 이용할 수 없다. 소프트웨어의 신뢰도를 추정하기 위한 방법은 그동안 Jelinski-Moranda(JM) 모델을 비롯하여 많은 기법이 연구되었다. 그러나, 아직까지 만족하다고 인정할 만한 신뢰도모델링은 개발되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어의 테스트를 통하여 검출되는 에러 개수의 추세를 가지고 비제차포아송과정(NHPP)의 파라미터를 찾아 신뢰도함수를 구하고자 하며, 아울러, 테스트중단시간을 결정하고자 한다. 파라미터를 찾는 방법은 maximum likelihood estimate(MLE) 기법을 이용하며, 테스트 중단시간은 구해진 파라미터를 신뢰도 함수에 대입하여 결정한다.
