Development of Load Factors-Based Analysis Model of Optimum Reliability (하중계수에 기초한 최적신뢰성의 해석모델 개발)

  • This study proposes a Load Factors-based Analysis Model of Optimum Reliability for the High way bridge, which is most common type of structural design, and also proposes the theoretical bases of optimum nominal safety factors as well as optimum load and resistance factors based on the expected total cost minimization. Major 2nd moment reliability analysis and design theories including both MFOSM(Mean First Order 2nd Moment) Methods and AFOSM(Advanced First Order 2nd Moment) Methods are summarized and compared, and it has been found that Lind-Hasofer's approximate and an approximate Log-normal type reliability for mula are well suited for the proposed optimum reliability study.

  • There are about 2.4million disabled in Korea, 2009. Also, Korean society entered into an aging society. Therefore disable and elderly are getting more involved in our society. This study proposes simple ramp design for wheel chair users and welding method and condition for manufacturing. In the middle of ramp, screw jack and motor are installed so that ramp can be moved left and right side. To make the ramp moves easily, ramp was fixed by installing LM guide on both sides. Ramp production for using Nd:YAG laser certain dissimilar welding in stainless steel sheet and cold reduced carbon steel. The output was fixed by 3kW, the speed was increased to 2~7m/min, Argon was used as shielding gas and the flow rate was changed to 10~30L/min. The proper welding condition is the output 3kW and welding speed 2~5m/min.

Crystal Growth of $Nd:LaSc_3(BO_3)_4$ by Czochralski Method (융액인상법에 의한 $Nd:LaSc_3(BO_3)_4$ 단결정 성장 연구)

  • 융액인상법에 의하여 Nd3+ 이온이 15 at% 주입된 LaSc3(BO3)4 단결정을 성장하였다. 최적의 결정성장 조건하에서 성장된 결정은 결정형이 잘 발달되고 보라색 투명하였다. 편광 현미경에 의한 결정결함 분석결과 성장된 결정 중심부에서 0.1 mm 크기의 기포가 검출되었고, B2O3가 증발하여 결정에 증착된 shoulder 부위에서는 균열이 발생되었으나 body에서는 결함이 검출되지 않았다. X선 회절에 의하여 cell parameter를 측정한 결과 a=7.73 , b=9.85 , c=12.05 , β=105.48o 및 공간군 C2/c의 monoclinic 구조로 분석되었다. 양질의 단결정을 성장하기 위한 결정성장 요소는 회전속도 10 rmp, 인상속도 1.5 mm/h이었다. 성장된 결정은 808 nm에서 강하고 넓은 흡수대와 1050∼1080 nm에 걸친 형광 방출대가 관찰되었다. 성장된 결정을 이용하여 직경 3 mm, 두께 1mm 크기의 micro-chip laser 소자의 제조기술을 확립하였다.

  • Since the reports of CMR(colossal magnetoresistance) effects in some single crystal R-P phase $La_{1+x}Sr_{2-x}Mn_2O_7$, considerable researches have been carried out to find optimum composition and to understand the role of dimensionality in the CMR mechanism of this system. In this study, layered perovskite $Ln_xCa_{1-x}MnO_{4}$ (x=0.5, Ln=Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd) phases were synthesized by solid state reaction and their structures were refined by Rietveld method. Electrical and magnetic properties were measured between room temperature and liquid helium temperature and compared with those of two dimensional $La_{1.4}Sr_{1.6}Mn_2O_7$ phase.

A study on the magnetic and optical properties of high $T_c$ superconductor (고온 초전도체의 자기적, 광학적 성질에 관한 연구)

  • X-선 회절 분석 및 적외선 투과율 측정은 실온에서 수행되었다. 또한 $Y_{1-x}$Nd$_{x}$Ba$_{2}$Cu$_{3}$O$_{7-y}$고온초전도체의 자기 임계전류밀도와 저항은 각각 30K와 80-140K 범위의 온도에서 조사되었다. 시료들은 고상 반응법에 의해서 제조되었다. 시료들의 결정구조는 X-선 회절무늬로 부터 모두 직방정계임이 판명되었다. 한편 x의 양이 증가함에 따라서 전이온도 T$_{c}$는 88K 근처의 값을 가지며 x의 양이 증가함에 따라 약간 감소하였다. 적외선 투과율 측정에서 날카로운 peak들은 472.23-618.87$cm^{-1}$ / 범위에 있었다. 이것은 특이할 정도로의 low-lying plasmalike edge와 낮은 에너지의 전자적인 여기가 존재함을 나타내는 것이다. 자기임계 전류밀도는 $10^{2}$~$10^{3}$A/$cm^{2}$ 범위에 있었다.있었다.

인산염계 유리와 BNT 세라믹 복합체의 저온소결 및 마이크로파 특성평가

  • 저온 소성이 가능한 유전체재료 개발을 글래스-세라믹스 복합체를 제조하고자 하였다. $BNT(BaO-Nd_2O_3-TiO_2)$계 세라믹스를 기본조성으로 하고, 인산염계 글래스 프릿의 첨가를 통해 제조된 글래스-세라믹스 복합체의 소결특성 및 유전특성을 조사하였다. 글래스 프릿의 첨가량이 증가하고 소결온도가 높아질수록 소결 수축률과 상대밀도가 증가함을 알 수 있었으며, 글래스 프릿의 첨가량을 첨가하였을 경우 BNT계 세라믹스에서의 주결정상인 $BaNd_2Ti_5O_{14}$와 더불어 Hexagonal system을 갖는 $KCaNd(PO_4)_2$을 확인하였다. 복합체를 소결한 후 유전특성을 측정하였는데, 유전율(${\varepsilon}_r$)은 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • By appliying an slternate pulsed magnetic field -generated by using a sequential ignition circuit and a magnet exciting circuit- with peak value of about 10 T to the rod type Nd based magnet Nd2Fe12.7Cr1.3B with length of 5 mm and diameter of 3.6 mm, the basic magnetic properties such as saturation magnetization, residual magnetization, coercivity, maximum energy products, magnetic anisotropy and anisotropic field are investigated with obtaining the major and minor J-H loops of the magnet. The increase in coercivity due to eddy currents in ac measurement of coercivity is calculated considering eddy current loss by analyzing a wave of generating magnetic field. The average coercivity calculated for the magnet is about 12.2 kOe, anisotropy magnetic field and anisotropic constant are measured as 60 kOe 2.43 Mj/$m^3$, respectively.

  • The fourth harmonic conversion(FHC) efficiency of high-power Nd laser pulse with wavelength of 1.054x10S0-6Tm using two KDP crystals(doubler adn quadrupler) was simulated numerically. Simulation results show that for the perfect phase-matching condition the FHC efficiency were 60-70% for several hundreds MW/cmS02T class and over 70% for GW/cmS02T class laser pulses. And the overall characteristics of FHC were discussed in terms of effects of input intensity, crystal length, and mismatch angle Δ$\theta$. Optimum method to FHC was type-II doubler & type-I quadrupler KDP crystal because type-II KDP doubler crystal has wide tolerance of acceptance matching-angle.

  • By addition of 1~5mol% CeO$_2$to powders with composition in the BaO-Nd$_2$O$_3$-TiO$_2$, temperature coefficient of permittivity of sintered ceramics may be decreased from approximately-140ppm/$^{\circ}C$~-65ppm/$^{\circ}C$. Dense, fine grained ceramics were prepared with permitivity within the range of 78~92 and Q above 1000.

  • We investigated response characteristics of twisted nematic (TN) cell with different nematic liquid crystals (NLCs) and cell gap d on a rubbed polyimide (PI) surface. High transmittance and fast response time of the TN cell on the rubbed PI surface were achieved by using high birefringence (${\Delta}n$) and low cell gap d. The transmittance and response time of the TN cell on the rubbed PI surface decreased with decreasing ${\Delta}nd$. The fast response time of TN cell using high birefringence with ${\Delta}nd=0.363$ on the rubbed PI surface was measured 5.1 ms.
