Development of User Friendly Integrated Program and Teaching System for Automatic Polishing Robot System (자동 연마 시스템의 사용자 지향형 통합 프로그램 및 자동 교시 시스템 개발)

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. In order to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers, a user-friendly automatic polishing system was developed in this research. The polishing system with five degrees of freedom is able to keep the polishing tool normal to the die surface. The polishing system is controlled by a PC-NC controller. And, to easily onerate the developed polishing system, this stud)r developed a integrated program in the Windows environment. This program consists of 4 modules: polishing module, a graphic simulator, a polishing data generation module, and a teaching. Also, the automatic teaching system was developed to easily obtain a teaching data. The developed teaching system consists of a three dimensional joystick and a proximity sensor. In order to evaluate stability of the driving program and the leaching system, polishing experiments of the die of saddle shape were carried out.

  • 최근 포유동물의 유전체에는 알려진 것보다 훨씬 많은 RNA 전사체가 발현되고 있음이 밝혀지고 있으며, 그 중에 많은 부분이 non-coding RNA로 알려지고 있다. 세포 내에서 non-coding RNA의 기능이 훨씬 다양해지고, 중요해지고 있는 상황에서 새로운 non-coding RNA를 정의하고, 탐색하는 것은 가장 시급한 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 이전 연구에서 RNA 공통 구조 학습을 위해 제안되었던, esRCSG (evolutionary search for RNA common-structural grammar) 알고리즘의 성능 향상을 위해, committee machine을 도입한다. Committee machine은 마지막 세대에서 최적화된 RNA 공통 구조 기술자 (RCSD)와 차상위로 최적화된 기술자들 중 양성데이터와 음성데이터의 치역을 합쳤을 때 특이도는 거의 변화가 없으면서 민감도의 증가가 가장 큰 기술자들의 집합이다. Committee machine은 특히 family type의 서열의 가진 특정 ncRNA에서 좋은 성능 향상을 보인다. microRNA를 이용한 성능평가에서 특이도의 변화가 거의 없이 민감도의 성능이 약 1.5배 향상되는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 특이도와 민감도가 높은 기술자를 이용함으로써 새로운 non-coding RNA를 예측하는 것을 약속할 수 있을 것이다.

  • SB-LOCA, RCP Failure 등의 특정사고와 운전중의 과도현상의 발생시, 형성되는 자연대류의 PWR의 열수력학적 거동은 로심 잔열제거의 가능/불가능과 직결되므로 매우 중요한 PWR 안전성평가자료이다. 이러한 자료를 획득하기 위해, EG&G의 감독하에 수행된 Semiscale Experiment Program의 일부인 Semiscale Mod-2A실험들 중에서 S-NC-3과 5-NC-4를 REALAP5/MOD3로 모사하였다. 모사결과는 실험결과와 REALAP5/MODl을 이용한 모사결과와 비교 검토하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce the supermicro computer- based nonreal-time BTR type DNC system, which can provide valuable datas for production and management by monitoring the operation of NC equipments. (upto 48 NC machine) In accordance with manual job schedulinq, part program is combined with tool presetting datas and enables rapid downloading and uploading. An application to the production system of die & Mold plant is presented.

Assessment of genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships of Korean native chicken breeds using microsatellite markers

  • Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the basic information on genetic structure and characteristics of Korean Native chickens (NC) and foreign breeds through the analysis of the pure chicken populations and commercial chicken lines of the Hanhyup Company which are popular in the NC market, using the 20 microsatellite markers. Methods: In this study, the genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships of 445 NC from five different breeds (NC, Leghorn [LH], Cornish [CS], Rhode Island Red [RIR], and Hanhyup [HH] commercial line) were investigated by performing genotyping using 20 microsatellite markers. Results: The highest genetic distance was observed between RIR and LH (18.9%), whereas the lowest genetic distance was observed between HH and NC (2.7%). In the principal coordinates analysis (PCoA) illustrated by the first component, LH was clearly separated from the other groups. The correspondence analysis showed close relationship among individuals belonging to the NC, CS, and HH lines. From the STRUCTURE program, the presence of 5 clusters was detected and it was found that the proportion of membership in the different clusters was almost comparable among the breeds with the exception of one breed (HH), although it was highest in LH (0.987) and lowest in CS (0.578). For the cluster 1 it was high in HH (0.582) and in CS (0.368), while for the cluster 4 it was relatively higher in HH (0.392) than other breeds. Conclusion: Our study showed useful genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship data that can be utilized for NC breeding and development by the commercial chicken industry to meet consumer demands.

  • An algorithm and its computer program were developed for the computer aided automatic conversion from 2-D design drawing, which includes arbitrary curves, to a 3-D object, and the 3-D object obtained from the developed program was used to generate the tool path of NC milling machine. The algorithm and its computer program developed were applied to several real objects for their feasibility check and showed satisfactory results. Therefore, it was proved that the algorithm and its program developed can be applied to the CAM for the mechanical parts having arbitraily curved shapes by automatically generating its 3-D object. As a result of this study a basic theory for the integration of CAD/CAM was established which will prompt the improved quality and productivity.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple but optimized NC code generating technique for disk cams by means of tool path error control in a five-axis CNC machining center. Using the geometric theorem of the triangle made between manufacturing points and error checkpoint, the tool path error has been studied for disk cams profile generation and an improvement in the profile has been obtained. Then, based on the present manufacturing approach a computer program is developed on $C^{++}$ language to perform and to verify the shape design, the manufacturing simulation, and the optimized generation of the NC code.

Calculation of Economic CL Data for Sculptured Surface Machining (자유곡면 절삭을 위한 경제적인 CL 데이타 계산)

  • This paper describes a procedure of generating economic cutter-location(CL) data for the machining of sculptured surfaces on a multi-axis NC milling machine. Measures of economy are the machining time (cutter move distance) and the length of NC tape (number of CL data points). The presented procedure minimizes both the number of CL data and the total distance of cutter moves, for a given cutter (spherical end-mill) size and parameteric cutting direction, while satisfying given tolerance requirements. The procedure has been implemented in FORTRAN for a smooth composite Bezier surface. The maximum allowable cutter size is calculated by the program so that a user can choose a cutter size. CL data can be generated in both parametric directions u and v. Experimental results show that there are significant differences between the parametric directions, and that cutter size should be as large as possible in order to minimize the cutting time and NC tape length.

  • For machining auto-mobile cam, the developed biarcs-fitting method eliminates the ridge problems in conventional straight-line fitting approximation or single-arc fitting of curve tool path where it leaves ridges of tool marks on the machined surface of the workpiece. The powerful advantage of this biarc method is demonstrated by applying it to the numerically controlled machining of a curved cam profile, also verified by using a CNC simulating program for auto-mobile cam profile. As a result, this algorithm may be used in CNC milling and turning for cam profile machining with short block line.

  • A problem of relevant interest to some industries is that of optimum two-dimensional layout. The objective of this work is to allocate the shapes on a sheet in such a way to minimize the amount of waste. A nesting software has been developed to help user arrange the 2D parts effectively. It provides various functions, e.g., transformation, distance-check, NC post-processor, etc. This software is developed in X window system with C langusge. Final goal of this software is generating NC code data of the 2D parts on the sheet that can be directly used in NC machines.
