  • 금형공장의 생산 일정관리에 있어서 실제 가공작업에 대한 실적데이터의 집계는 매우 중요하지만, 이러한 작업상황을 기록하는 것에 대해서 현장 작업자는 비협조적이고 반감을 갖고 있는 실정이다. 현장에서는 작업자의 개입없이 CNC 장비의 컨트롤러와의 직접적인 인터페이스를 통해서 신호를 추출하고 자동으로 작업상황을 파악할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하려고 시도하고 있지만, 컨트롤러 메이커마다 다르게 적용해야 하고 많은 비용을 요구한다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구에서는 저가의 PC 카메라를 장비에 설치하여 가공상황에 대한 동영상을 수집하고 영상처리 알고리즘을 적용하여 가공시간을 집계하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 CNC 컨트롤러에 독립적으로 운용되며 저렴하게 시스템을 구축할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 무인가공과 유인가공 상황에 시범적으로 적용 및 운영함으로써 시스템의 활용가능성을 살펴보았다.

Development of an Automatic Tool Compensation System in NC Lathe Machine (NC 선반가공에서 자동공구보정시스템의 개발)

  • Tool wear is one of major causes occurring defectives in NC machining. In this paper we developed an automatic tool compensation system for the NC lathe machining. The system compensates machining error without any help of operators whenever the specification of a part is out of a tolerance. The configuration of the automatic compensation system consists of a NC lathe, an autoloader, a sensor, and a PLC. The system is operated as follows. A workpiece loaded by the autoloader is machining on the NC lathe. Once the workpiece is machined to be turned to a part, it is moved onto the sensor to be measured. If the sensor detects a part out of tolerance, a tool compensation is made in the NC controller. The system gives a help in increasing the productivity by reducing occurrence of defective parts as well as by eliminating time for the tool compensation. Besides the productivity increase, the system calculates cumulative usage time of the tool and notices the tool replace time to a worker by an alarm signal. A case is introduced to show that the system can be applied effectively in a shop.

Study on UxNB Network Deployment Method toward Mobile IAB

  • In this paper, we propose a deployment and operation scheme of UxNB network toward mobile IAB. By operating a UxNB network based on SDN(Software Defined Network), UxNBs are deployed in areas where mobile communication services are desired. After deploying UxNB in the service area, IAB can be set up to perform mobile communication services. For this purpose, this paper first proposes a UxNB Network Controller consisting of a UAV Controller and an SDN Controller, and proposes the necessary functions. Next, we present a scenario in which a UxNB network can be deployed and operated in detail step by step. We also discuss the location of the UxNB network controller, how to deliver control commands from the UAV controller to the UxNB, how to apply IAB for UxNB networks, optimization of UxNB networks, RLF(radio link failure) recovery in UxNB networks, and future research on security in UxNB networks. It is expected that the proposed UxNB Network Controller architecture and UxNB network deployment and operation will enable seamless integration of UxNB networks into Mobile IAB.

  • The present so many systems are used by evolution of Program to expel DNC(Direct Numerical Control) Network Infra for many CNC Controller. However, these systems is an inefficiency side in case of mutual connection at a long distance between Server Computer and Machining center Also, the machining center have so many controversial points in data transmission-receiver from the NC data server. So, this thesis well constructed the remote control system from CNC(Computer Numerical Control) Controller to CAD/CAM Server Computer. This system have some kinds of merits. Firstly. the machining center's user can easily use the saved NC data transmission from the CAD/CAM Server Secondly, the remote control is possible without the mutual conversation between the CAD/CAM Server and the machining center.

  • Studies on the optimizations of machining processes use two different methods. The first is feed control in real-time by spindle load in a machine tool. The second is feed scheduling in NC code control by material removal rate using a CAD/CAM system. Each approach possesses its respective merits and issues compared to the other. That is, each method can be complementary to the other. The purpose of the study is to improve the productivity of the bulkhead, an aircraft Duralumin structure. In this paper, acceleration or deceleration of cutting tool by spindle load data is achieved using adaptive feed control macro programming in a machine tool.

PLC and Arduino CNC Control for Comparison of 2D Outputs (2D 출력물 비교를 위한 PLC와 아두이노 CNC 제어)

  • As the market size of 3D printers increases, the precision of the printout and the speed of operation by the motor are very important issues. In this parer, G-code of each output was generated using a CURA program to compare whether the output of the PLC equipment is the same as that of the Arduino CNC. And after conversion to NC File, a pen was attached to each device to output a result to A4 paper. As a result, the output time was measured to be 1m 39s for PLC equipment and 2m 5s for Arduino CNC. In addition, it was confirmed that the 2D output was equally from the two equipments.

  • In CNC machining, a 3D(3-dimension) linear segment and a 2D(2-dimension) circular arc are general forms given by CAD/CAM system. Generally, the 2D circular arc machining is processed using dividing into some linear segments. A 3D circular arc also don't exist in the standard form of NC data. This paper present a algorithm and method for real-time machining of a circular arc(not only the 2D one, but also the 3D one). The 3D circular arc machining is based on the 2D circular arc machining. It only needs making a new coordinate system, converting given 3D points(a start point, a end point, and a center point of a 3D circular arc) into points of the new coordinate system, and processing a inverse transformation about a interpolated point. The proposed algorithm was implemented and simulated on PC system. It was confirmed to give a gcod result.
