경삽묘 연령과 수확시기가 분무경재배 씨감자 '대지'의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Tuber Yield and Size Distribution of Potato 'Dejima' (Solanum tuberosum L.) Affected by Stem Cutting Ages and Harvest Time in Aeroponics)

  • 본 연구는 경삽묘의 생리적 서령과 분무재배시 수확시기가 감자 '대지' 품종의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 실시되었다. 경삽묘는 조직배양묘를 삽목하여 생산하였고 삽목 후 20, 30, 40, 50일된 경삽묘를 분무재배에 이용하였다. 분무재배시 정식 후 60, 70, 80, 90일에 각각 괴경을 수확하였고 수확한 괴경은 $1{\sim}5$, $5{\sim}10$, $10{\sim}20$, $20{\sim}30$, $30{\sim}40$, 40g 이상의 크기로 분류하였다. 삽목한 후 40일이 경과된 경삽묘의 평균 초장이 전생육기간에 걸쳐 가장 길었지만 정식 후 75일에는 모든 연령의 경삽묘 간의 초장에 대한 유의차는 없었다. 주당 괴경중은 정식 후 90일까지 꾸준히 증가하였으며 삽목 후 20일과 40일된 경삽묘를 정식할 때 가장 무거웠고 주당 괴경수도 가장 많았다. 그러나 50일된 경삽묘를 제외하고 20, 30, 40일된 경삽묘 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 정식 후 80일과 90일에 수확하는 것이 5g 이상의 괴경 수확을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다.

남해도 주변 해역에서 새우조망으로 조사한 수산자원의 분포 및 계절 변화 (Distribution and seasonal variations of fisheries resources captured by the beam trawl in Namhae island, Korea)

  • It was turned out by the beam trawl survey in 2009 that flora of three phylum 16 species and fauna of eight taxa 68 families 97 species were inhabited in the Seomjin River estuary and western coastal waters of Namhae island. Winter season showed the most various appearance of species with 63 species and markedly several kinds of algae species, while summer season showed the lowest number of species with 44 species. However, the indices of species diversity and evenness were highest in summer, and vice versa in winter. Major dominant species were Crangon hakodatei, Leiognathus nuchalis, Asterias amurensis, Thryssa kammalensis, Luidia quinaria, Amblychaeturichthys hexanema, Oratosquilla oratoria, Charybdis bimaculata, Cynoglossus joyneri, Pennahia agentata. The 10 dominant species occupied at 81.4% of catch in number and 49.0% of catch in weight. There were seasonal fluctuations and differences by station in the Seomjin River estuary and western coastal waters of Namhae island, which brought to the difference of length structures, that is, bigger-sized individuals of major dominant species at station A (near to river estuary) than station C (near to ocean). Species compositions by season and by station were separated to two groups. Winter season showed a separated species composition from other seasons and station A exhibited a different species composition from other stations, which was located at near to the Seomjin River estuary.

농업유산으로서 남해군 물건리 당산숲의 경관 특성 및 가치 제고방안 (Analysis of Landscape Characteristics for Enhancing the Value of the Sacred Dangsan Forests at Mulgeon-ri, Namhae-gun as an Agricultural Heritage)

  • Landscape characteristics and the culture of the sacred Dangsan forests located at Mulgeon village, Eunjeom village and Daejipo village in Mulgeon-ri, Namhae-gun were investigated. The potential of Dangsan forests for agricultural heritage, linked with paddy fields, has been discussed. Dangsan forest is a traditional village forest and a representative cultural heritage with a history of more than several hundred years. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea evaluates that the agricultural heritage is a new means and will provide a potential for the development of rural areas. The Dangsan forests were located in the neighborhood of paddy fields. The Dangsan forests are to be related to paddy fields in order to get attention as an agricultural heritage. Especially, the Dangsan forest of Mulgeon village was designated as Natural Monument #150 with the name, Windbreak forest of Mulgeon-ri, Namhae. It was suggested that the national monument to rename as Dangsan forest of Mulgeon village, Namhae. The size of this forest was measured to be 735 m in length and 31 m in width. Mulgeon-ri will be better recognized as a candidate place of agricultural heritage with three Dangsan forests associated with paddy fields.

흑마늘 추출물을 첨가한 돈육햄의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Pork Ham Containing Different Amounts of Black Garlic Extracts)

  • This study was performed to examine the quality and antioxidant activity of pork ham with various levels of black garlic extracts. Pork ham manufactured from black garlic extracts with 15 brix (1% (H1), 1.5% (H2), 2% (H3)) and 30 brix (0.2% (H4), 0.5% (H5), 1% (H6) were stored for 28 days at $8{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and analyzed with an interval of 7 days. In the sensory evaluation, the garlic odor was increased as the garlic extract adding level larger, whereas color, flavor, juiciness, texture and acceptability were not showed significant differences. The pH values of pork products were increased as the level of black garlic extracts increased. The shear force value of groups (H4~H6) with the addition of 30 brix extracts addition were significantly higher than those groups with 15 brix extracts addition (H1~H3) throughout the storage period. Furthermore, the TBARS (thiobarbutric acid reactive substance) content of the pork ham containing various levels of black garlic extract were lower than that of the control group as storage period increased. Thus, black garlic extracts have a potential application for the pork products to inhibit of lipid oxidation.

The Effect of Soil Texture on Fruits and Growth Properties in Rabbiteye Blueberries

  • This study was conducted to compare the plant growth and fruit quality of blueberries grown in different soil textures of Korea, in order to utilize the results for stable production and soil improvement. Rabbiteye blueberry cultivars 'Tifblue' and 'Baldwin' were planted and grown for three years from 2013 in wagner pot (1 $2000a^{-1}$) in a greenhouse of Namhae Sub-station, Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science. The plants were grown in four soil textures, sand, sandy loam, loam and silt loam, and nutrient uptake and growth characteristics of plants were investigated. Leaf nitrogen and phosphorus contents of two cultivars grown in different soil textures ranged between 8.6 to $10.5gkg^{-1}$, which was lower than appropriate level for rabbiteye blueberry. However, the contents of potassium, calcium and magnesium in leaves were appropriate levels as $2.29{\sim}3.62gkg^{-1}$, $4.46{\sim}5.46gkg^{-1}$ and $1.45{\sim}2.12gkg^{-1}$, respectively. Nitrogen and phosphate contents in leaves were higher in the two cultivars grown in silt loam soil. There was no significant difference in plant volume and root dry weight among four soil textures in two cultivars. However, dry weight of leaves and branches were highest in loam soil. Fruit production was highest in loam and silt loam soil in two cultivars, showing negative correlation with the amount of sand in soil. However, sugar and acidity showed no correlation with sand content in soil. These results show the limit to the blueberry growth in soil that has no nutrient holding capacity; however, most of Korean soils that have good nutrient holding capacity can produce competitive fruits if the drainage is improved.

산지별 유자의 생리활성 (Biological Activities of Yuza Grown in Different Areas)

  • 거제, 고성, 고흥 및 남해산 유자의 생리활성 규명에 관한 연구의 일환으로 유자를 과육과 과피로 분리하여 주요 생리활성 성분을 분석하고 과피 물추출물의 전자공여능, 아질산염소거능 및 tyrosinase 저해활성을 비교하였다. 비타민 C 함량은 과육에서 6.34${\Pm}$0.12-10.74${\Pm}$1.25 mg/100 g의 범위였으며, 과피에서는 과육에 비하여 2.17-3.57배 정도 더 높은 함량이었다. 카로티노이드 함량도 비타민 C와 동일한 경향이었으며 고성산과 남해 재래종의 과피에서 6 mg/100 g 이상으로 타 시료에 비해 유의적으로 높은 함량이었다. 총 페놀 화합물의 함량은 남해 개량종에서 가장 높아 과육과 과피에서 각각 11.11${\Pm}$0.10 mg/100 g 및 31.76${\Pm}$0.30 mg/100 g이었다. Hesperidin과 naringin의 함량도 과육보다는 과피에서 4.81-7.80, 3.07-4.62배 정도 더 높은 함량이었으며, 과피에서 hesperidin은 45.30${\Pm}$1.18-85.76${\Pm}$3.72 mg/100 g, naringin은 28.69${\Pm}$0.85-44.96${\Pm}$1.75 mg/100 g의 범위였다. 과피 물추출물의 전자공여능은 5 mg/mL 이상 첨가 시 활성은 52.78${\Pm}$1.13-66.88${\Pm}$0.53%의 범위였으며 남해산 시료에서 유의적으로 활성이 높았다. 아질산염 소거활성은 0.5 mg/mL 농도에서는 10% 미만으로 낮았으나 시료의 첨가농도가 증가할수록 활성이 높아져 10 mg/mL 농도에서는 24.95${\Pm}$1.82-29.72${\Pm}$1.84%의 범위였다. Tyrosinase 저해활성은 2.5 mg/mL의 농도에서는 남해산 시료에서만 5.06${\Pm}$1.27%의 낮은 활성이 확인되었으나, 10 mg/mL 농도에서는 32.76${\Pm}$1.43-69.21${\Pm}$1.91%로 활성이 증가하였다.

Gametogenic Cycle and Fine Structure of Ripe Germ Cells in the Pacific Oyster, Crassostrea gigas on the South Coast of Korea

  • The gonadal development and the gametogenic cycle and the fine structure of ripe germ cells of the cultured Pacific oyster, Crassostrea gigas were investigated using oysters monthly collected from the southern coast of Korea from October 2000 to September 2001. Monthly changes in the condition index were similar to that of meat weight rate and the highest value was observed in between April and May, and the lowest value in August. The external colors of the testis and the ovary were milky white and yellowish, respectively. The spawning period of the Pacific oyster was continued from May to September, with a peak in July. The gametogenic cycle could be classified into five successive stages: multiplicative stage (December to March), growing stage (March and April), mature stage (April to June), spawning stage (June to August) and resting stage (August to January). Variety of egg yolk granules, lipid granules, mitochondria, and endoplasmic reticula were observed in cytoplasm of ripe oocyte. The spermatozoon consisted of the head, middle piece and tail; including cap-shaped acrosome with domed structure, elliptical shaped nucleus, four mitochondria, two centrioles and flagellum.

한려해상국립공원 지역의 관속식물상 - 남해, 가라산, 통영 지역을 대상으로 - (Flora of Hallyo-Haesang National Park - Case Study of Namhae, Karasan and Tongyong Areas -)

  • 본 조사는 1998년 5월부터 9월까지 총 8일간 한려해상국립공원 지역의 관속식물상을 조사한 결과 125과, 396속, 573종, 83변종, 11품종 3교잡종 총 670종류(taxa)로 조사되었다. 이 중 남해지역은 117과, 296속, 373종, 53변종 7품종, 3교잡종 총 436종류(taxa), 가라산지역은 73과, 129속, 153종, 16변종 2품종 총171종류(taxa), 통영지역은 97과 280속, 475종, 53변종, 5품종, 1교잡종 총 434종류(taxa)로 각각 조사되었다. 한려해상국립공원 지역은 도로와 이들 주변의 위락시설 및 관상수 농장 등으로 인해 다른 국립공원 지역과 비교할 때 식생의 파괴가 심각한 것으로 조사되었으며, 이들 지역의 특징적인 식생과 식물상을 적극적으로 보전하기 위한 대책이 시급히 필요하다고 판단된다.
