개방식 장치를 이용한 가연성 2 성분계 혼합물의 인화점 및 연소점 측정 및 예측 (Measurement and Prediction of the Flash Points and the Fire Points for the Flammable Binary Mixtures Using Open-cup Apparatus)

  • The flash points and the fire points for the m-xylene+n-propionic acid and n-butanol+n-pentanol systems were measured by using Tag open-cup apparatus(AS1M D 1310-86). The experimental flash points of two binary systems were compared with the values calculated by the Raoult's law, Van Laar equation and Wilson equation. The calculated values based on the Raoult's law on m-xylene+n-propionic acid system were found to be better than those based on Van Laar and Wilson equations. The calculated values based on Van Laar equation on n-butanol+n-pentanol system were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law and Wilson equation. The the fire points for the m-xylene+n-propionic acid system were about $7{\sim}8^{\circ}C$ above the flash points. In the case of n-butanol+n-pentanol system, the flash points and the fire points had been found to be identical.

  • The piezoelectric ceramics of PMS-PZT was made in the radial mode disk. As the results, in the application of filter required conditions: that is, higher-values for piezoelectric properties($K_p$, $Q_m$) and lower-values for stabilities of $F_{\tau}$(temp. coefficient, aging rate), 5PMS-51PT-44PZ composition statified well. This composition was made in the dot-ring type. Asthe results, with increasing $n^2$ both $Q_m$ and S had high values, decreasing $n^2$ both $K_p$ and BW had low values when the diameter of sintered bodies were constant. Therefore, curve of filter characteristic have sharped with increasing $n^2$ and BW broadened with decreasing $n^2$.

Solvolysis Reaction Kinetics, Rates and Mechanism for Phenyl N-Phenyl Phosphoramidochloridate

  • The rate constants of solvolysis of phenyl N-phenyl phosphoramidochloridate (PhNHPO(Cl)OPh, Target Compound-TC1) have been determined by a conductivity method. The solvolysis rate constants of TC1 are well correlated with the extended Grunwald-Winstein equation, using the $N_T$ solvent nucleophilicity scale and YCl solvent ionizing scale, and sensitivity values of $0.85{\pm}0.14$ and $0.53{\pm}0.04$ for l and m, respectively. These l and m values were similar to those obtained previously for the complex chemical substances dimethyl thiophosphorochloridate; N,N,N',N'-tetramethyldiamidophosphorochloridate; 2-phenyl-2-ketoethyl tosylate; diphenyl thiophosphinyl chloride; and 9-fluorenyl chloroformate. As with the five previously studied solvolyses, an $S_N2$ pathway is proposed for the solvolyses of TC1. For four representative solvents, the rate constants were measured at several temperatures, and activation parameters (${\Delta}H^{\neq}$ and ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$) were estimated. These activation parameters are also in line with the values expected for an $S_N2$ reaction.

경산지역 토양 및 수질오염에 관한 연구 (A Study of Soil and Water Pollutions in Kyungsan Province)

  • In order to provide the basic information on the environmental pollution of Kyungsan province, the contents of Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn and Zn in soil, stream water, aquatic sediment and groundwater were investigated, and also the values of pH, COD, $KMnO_4-C$,\;NH_3-N,\;NO_2-N,\;NO_3-N$ and $Cl^-$ of stream water and groundwater were determined. The results were as follows. The values of COD, $NH_3-N,\;NO_2-N$ and $NO_3-N$ of the stream waters were very low. The contents of Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu and Zn in the stream waters were respectively at range of $0.014~0.063 mg/{\ell},\;0.004~0.007 mg/{\ell$\mid$, 0~0.045 mg/{\ell},\;0~0.008 mg/{\ell}$\;and\;$0.001~0.175 mg/{\ell}$, and these values were much lower than those of contaminated stream water in Korea. The contents of Cd, Cr, Cu and Zn in the soils were respectively at range of 0.12~O.71 ppm, 0.88~2.65 ppm, 2.86~22.33 ppm and 3.89~26.39 ppm, and these values were much lower than those of ordinary polluted areas in Korea. The contents of Cd, Cr, Cu, As, Zn and Mn in the aquatic sediments were respectively at range of 3.05~3.81 ppm, 14.6~70.6 ppm, 13.74~61.59 ppm, 76.8~465.5 ppm, 12.56~190.83 ppm and 333.3~l188.3 ppm. The values of pH, $KMnO_4-C,\;NH_3-N$, and $NO_3-N$ of the groundwaters were respectively at range of 7.6~8.4, $0~3.95{\ell}$, 0.05~0.15 mg/{\ell}$ and 0.05~0.42 $mg/{\ell}$. The contents of Pb, Cd and Cr in the groundwaters were respectively at range of 0.015~0.061 $mg/{\ell}$, 0.O06~0.009 $mg/{\ell}$ and 0.005~0.045 $mg/{\ell}$.

  • The piezoelectric properties and the doping effect of N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ and Mn $O_2$for 0.95PbZ $r_{x}$ $Ti_{x}$ $O_3$+0.05Pb(M $n_{0.42}$ $W_{0.26}$S $b_{0.32}$) $O_3$ compositions have been investigated. In the composition of 0.95PbZ $r_{0.54}$ $Ti_{0.46}$ $O_3$+0.05Pb(M $n_{0.42}$ $W_{0.26}$S $b_{0.32}$) $O_3$the Values Of $k_{p}$ find and $\varepsilon$$_{33}$ $^{T}$ are maximized, but $Q_{m}$ Was minimized ( $k_{p}$ =0.51, $Q_{m}$ =1750). The grain size was suppressed and the uniformity of grain was improved with doping concentration of N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ for 0.95PbZ $r_{0.54}$ $Ti_{0.46}$ $O_3$+0.005Pb(M $n_{0.42}$ $W_{0.26}$S $b_{0.32}$) $O_3$sample. The values of $k_{p}$ increased and the values of $Q_{m}$ slightly decreased when 0.5 wt% of N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ is doped. And the values of $k_{p}$ was the same formation of the N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ dopant when 0.5 wt% of M $n_2$ $O_{5}$ is doped. But the values of $Q_{m}$ was deeply decreased when 0.5 wt% of Mn $O_2$is doped. As a experiment results under high electric field driving, this piezoelectric ceramics are very stable. Conclusively, piezoelectric ceramic compsiton investigated at this paper is suitable for application to high power piezoelectric devices.. devices..ices.. devices..

Numerical modelling of stress and deflection behaviour for welded steel beam-column

  • In this study, stress and deflection behaviours of T-type welding joint applied to HE200M steel beam and column were investigated in finite element method (FEM) under different distributed loads. In the 3D-FEM modelling, glue option was used to contact between steel materials and weld nuggets. Geometrical model was designed as 3-dimensional solid in ANSYS software program. After that, homogeneous, linear and isotropic properties were used to design to materials of model. Solid-92 having 3-dimensional, 4 faced and 10-noded was selected as element type. In consequence of mesh operation, elements of 13285 and nodes of 28086 were occurred. Load distribution was applied to top surface of steel beam to determine behaviours of stress and deflection. As a result of FEM analysis applied with the loads of 55,000 N, 110,000 N and 220,000 N, maximum values were obtained as 116 N/$mm^2$, 232 N/$mm^2$ and 465 N/$mm^2$ for stress and obtainedas 1,083 mm, 2,166 mm and 4.332 mm for deflection, respectively. When modelling results and classical calculation values were compared, it was obtained difference of 10 % for stress values and 2.5% for deflection values.

  • In this paper, we present characterizations of the power function distribution by the independence of record values. We establish that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$. And we prove that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0; if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n+1)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$. Also we characterize that $X{\in}$ POW(1, ${\nu}$) for ${\nu}$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n)}+X_{L(n+1)}}{X_{L(n)}-X_{L(n+1)}}$ and $X_{L(n)}$ are independent for $n{\geq}1$.

  • 가연성 이성분계 혼합물인 n-pentanol+n-propicnic acid 및 n-pentanol+n-butyric acid 계의 하년 인화점이 상압 조건 하에서 Pensky-Martens 밀폐식 장치에 의해 측성되었다. 실험값을 라울의 법칙과 최적화 기법을 활용한 예측간과 비교하였다. A.A.D.(average absolute deviation)에서 알 수 있듯이, 최적화 기법을 활용한 예측값이 Raoult의 법칙에 의한 예측값 보다 실험값에 더욱 근사하였다.

  • This paper presents some characterizations of the Weibull distribution by the independence of record values. We prove that $X{\sim}Weibull(1,{\alpha})$, ${\alpha}>0$ if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n+1)}}{X_{U(n+1)}-X_{U(n)}}$ and $X_{U(n+1)}$ for $n{\geq}1$ are independent. Characterization of Heterogeneous Interaction Behaviour in Ternary Mixtures by Dielectric Analysis: The H-Bonded Binary Polar Mixture in Non-Polar Solvent

  • The heterogeneous association behaviour of various concentration binary mixtures of mono alkyl ethers of ethylene glycol with ethyl alcohol were investigated by dielectric measurement in benzene solutions over the entire concentration range at 25 ${^{\circ}C}$. The values of static dielectric constant $\epsilon_0$ of the mixtures were measured at 1 MHz using a four terminal dielectric liquid test fixture and precision LCR meter. The high frequency limiting dielectric constant $\epsilon_\infty$ values were determined by measurement of refractive index $n_D$ ($\epsilon_\infty\;=\;n_D\;^2$). The measured values of $\epsilon_0$ and $\epsilon_\infty$ were used to evaluate the values of excess dielectric constant $\epsilon^E$, effective Kirkwood correlation factor $g^{eff}$ and corrective correlation factor $g_f$ of the binary polar mixtures to obtain qualitative and quantitative information about the H-bond complex formation. The non-linear behaviour of the observed $\epsilon_0$ values of the polar molecules and their mixtures in benzene solvent confirms the variation in the associated structures with change in polar mixture constituents concentration and also by dilution in non-polar solvents. Appearance of the maximum in $\epsilon^E$ values at different concentration of the polar mixtures suggest the formation of stable adduct complex, which depends on the molecular size of the mono alkyl ethers of ethylene glycol. Further, the observed $\epsilon^E$ < 0 also confirms the heterogeneous H-bond complex formation reduces the effective number of dipoles in these polar binary mixtures. In benzene solutions these polar molecules shows the maximum reduce in effective number of dipoles at 50 percent dilutions. But ethyl alcohol rich binary polar mixtures in benzene solvent show the maximum reduce in effective number of dipoles in benzene rich solutions.
