In this study, the decision of dressing time for diamond wheel was analyzed by observing with acoustic emission signals and surface roughness, and also obtained the machining characteristics by weibull distribution plot for the values of bending strength. From the experimental study, it was possible to predict the time of re-dressing for the diamond grinding wheel with the analysis of acoustic emission signals and surface roughness values, and following conclusions were obtained. The root-mem-square values of acoustic emission signals were obtained low as the increased of table speed for different abrasive grain size. This is caused by the lack of grinding power which is not able to get rid of all real grinding mass of depth as the table speed is increased. The values of bending strength for ground $Si_3 N_4$ specimens were decreased for gain size of #400 than that of #60, but it was found that the surface roughness values for gain size of #60 were better than that of #400. As compared the shape parameter of weibull distribution plot for the values of bending strength, it was found that the reliability of bending strength for grain size of #60 increased than that of #400.

The flash point is one of the most important indicators of the flammability of liquid solutions. The flash point is the lowest temperature at which there is enough concentration of flammable vapor to form an ignitable mixture with air. In this study the flash points of ternary liquid solutions, n-nonane+n-decane+n-dodecane system, were measured using Seta flash closed cup tester. The measured values were compared with the calculated values using Raoult's law and empirical equation. The calculated data by empirical equation described the measured values more effectively than those calculated by Raoult's law.

The electrical conductance and UV absorbance of 4,N-dimethyl Pridinium Iodide (NDMPI) were measured in the ethanol volume percentage, 95, 90, 80 and 60 of an ethanol-water mixture at 15, 25, 35 and $45^{\circ}C$. Ionic association constants(K) of NDMPI were evaluated in accordance with a combined method of conductance UV absorbance. The ion size parameter (${\gamma}_{\pm}$) and dipole momemt (${\mu}_{A+D-}$) of NDMPI were obtained from the values of K and dielectric constant. The ${\mu}_{A+D-}$- values were in good agreement with the values of transition moment(${\mu}_{mn}$) which is calculated form the UV peak values. The large negative values of the electrical enthalpy (${\Delta}H_{el}^{\circ}$) and entropy (${\Delta}H_{el}^{\circ}$ ) have proved that NDMPI had a positive hydration. The positive values of entropy (${\Delta}S^{\circ}$) means the formation of NDMPI ion goes with dehydration.

This study is to figure out uncertainty relationship between input data and calibrated parameter on unsteady hydraulic routing model. The uncertainty would be present to model results as a variant water surface profile along the channel. Firstly, Manning's n is calibrated through the model with assumed uncertainty on input hydrograph. Then, spatially distributed n-values sets based on the calibrated n values are used to get water profile of each n-values set. The results show that ${\pm}0.002$ of error in Manning's n cause ${\pm}30cm$ of maximum water surface differences at the Sumjin river.

In this paper, we will give a characterization of the beta distribution of the first kind by considering conditional expectations of record values.s.

Statement of problem. In distal extension removable partial denture, the preservation of health of abutment teeth is very important, but abutment teeth are subjected to unfavorable stress. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the biomechanical effects of mandibular removable partial dentures with various prosthetic designs using strain gauge analysis. Material and methods. Artificial teeth of both canines were anchored bilaterally in a mandibular edentulous model made of resin. Bilateral distal extension removable partial dentures with splinted and unsplinted abutments were fabricated. Group 1 : Clasp-retained mandibular removable partial denture with unsplinted abuhnents Group 2 : Clasp-retained mandibular removable partial denture with splinted abutments by 6-unit bridge Group 3 : Bar-retained mandibular removable partial denture Strain gauges were bonded on the labial plate of the mandibular resin model, approximately 2 mm close to the abutments. Two vertical experimental loadings (100N and 200N) were applied subsequently via two miniature load cells that were placed at mandibular first molar regions. Strain measurements were performed and simultaneously monitored from a computer connected to data acquisition system. For within-group evaluations, t-test was used to compare the strain values and for between-group comparisons, a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used and Duncan test was used as post hoc comparisons. Results. Strain values increased as the applied load increased from 100N to 200N for all groups (p<.05). The strain values of group 1 and 2 were tensile under loadings. In contrast, strain values of group 3 were compressive in nature. Under 100N loading, group 1 showed higher strain values than group 3 in absolute quantity (p<.05). Under 200N loading, group 3 showed higher strain values than group 1 and 2 in absolute quantity (p<.05). Group 1 showed higher strain values than group 2 (p<.05). Conclusion. Splinting of two isolated abutments by bridge reduced the peri-abutment strain in comparison with unsplinted abutments. Strain of bar-retained removable partial denture increased much more as applied load increased, but was compressive in nature.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of enzyme activities on male Sprague-Dawley rats intoxicated by CCI4 on IS(Godulbaegi) diets for 4 weeks. We divides into 5 diet groups which were normal diet(N), normal diet intoxicated by CCI4(NC) and 3 IS diets ; leaves diet(ILC), roots diet(IRC) and mixed diet of leaves and roots which were also injected by CCI4 3 times for 4 weeks. The activity of glutamic pyruvic transaminase(GPT) in serum in NC was higher than in N as we expected. The GPT activites and the values of malondial-dehyde(MDA) of IS groups were all lower than in NC, IC as lowest. The activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) in NC was higher than in N and IS groups had values less than the values of N. Catalase showed similarity in results as above. The values of glutathione S-transferase(GST) and cytochrome P-450 in NC were lower than in N. IS groups had higher values than in NC. Godulbaegi might be important not only as one of the traditional Korean foods but also as therapeutic agent for hepatotoxicity and for shortening the recovery time in liver disease.

The purpose of this study was to predict the stability of the future marriage by understanding the values of marriage, child and sex role among pre-parents. For this purpose, the values of marriage, child and sex roles were compared between male (N = 340) and female (N = 363) university students, Tajeon. The data were analyzed by statistical methods, such as mean, standard deviation, t-Test, F-Test, Multiple-Regression and Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results of this study were as follows ; 1) There were significant differences between male and female students in the values of marriage, child and sex role. 2) The most important demographical variable influencing to the values of marriage, child and sex role was sex. 3) With reagard to the collections between the values of marriage and the positive values of child were negative. But the correlations between the values of marriage and the preference for a son were positive. The correlations between the preference for a son and the values of sex role were also positive. With reagard to the correlations between the values of marriage and the values of sex roles were positive.
