고속도로 WIM 데이터의 통계분석을 통한 교량 설계활하중 KL-510의 모멘트 효과 분석 (Analysis of Moment Effect of Bridge Design Live Load KL-510 by Statistical Analysis of WIM Data of Expressway)

  • 현행 국내 교량 설계기준의 활하중 모형인 KL-510의 하중 효과를 실측된 통행자료로부터 통계적으로 추정한 트럭의 연행효과 및 국내외 관련 설계기준이 하중모형과 비교한다. 과적단속 전후에 고속도로에서 측정된 트럭의 중량 자료를 이용하여 설계기준의 활하중 모형 결정과 동일한 과정을 따라서 트럭 중량을 산정하여 그 하중효과를 KL-510과 비교하였다. KL-510은 운행제한중량을 초과하는 트럭을 일부 포함하는 자료로부터 추정한 트럭의 연행에 의한 하중효과와 매우 부합하는 결과를 보였다. KL-510은 미국 AASHTO LRFD의 활하중 모형과 일관성 있는 결과를 주며, 기존 하중 모형인 DB-24보다 하중효과의 비율이 균일하였다. 이 연구의 결과로 가상의 하중 모형인 KL-510에 해당하는 실제 트럭의 조합을 구성하였으며, 향후 공용중인 교량의 평가와 허가차량의 하중계수 보정에 적용할 수 있다.

쓰레기 매립장 주변 농촌 주민들의 삶의 질 연구 (Does Living nearby a Garbage Dumping Site Degrade the Quality of Life? A Case Study based on Shin-dong Myeon Residents, Chun-cheon Si)

  • Objectives: This study aims to examine if a garbage dumping site has real and negative influence on the quality of life (QOL) for the nearby residents. The net effects of the residential distance from the garbage dumping site and from the garbage truck route were investigated for five domains of the QOL. Methods: Two hundred fifty seven Shin-dong Myeon residents, Chun-cheon Si, participated in a self-administrated survey. The Shin-dong Myeon garbage dumping site began operating in 1996. ANCOV A with generalized linear models and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: Descriptive analyses show that a residence nearby a garbage dumping site is negatively associated with the physical and environmental domains of the QOL. The residential distance from the garbage truck route does not exert any significant effect on various domains of QOL, except for the environmental domain. On the multivariate analysis, the residents living near the garbage dumping site tended to have a significantly negative QOL in the physical and environmental domains. However, the distance from the garbage truck route did not show a significant nor substantial effect on the QOL. The demographic and socioeconomic control variables are associated with a number of the QOL domains, and their patterns are consistent with the general expectations. Conclusions: The results indicated that a garbage dumping site is considered to be an environmental hazard among the nearby residents according to the lower scores on the physical and environmental domains of the QOL. The findings from this study provide comprehensive understanding on the residents' QOL, and they may help politicians and policy makers make decisions for appropriate interventions.

고속도로 영업소의 자동 요금 징수 시스템 도입에 따른 소형 경유 화물트럭의 배출가스 저감 효과 분석 (An Analysis on the Emission Reduction Effect of Diesel Light-duty Truck by Introducing Electronic Toll Collection System on Highways)

  • Electronic Toll Collection System (ETCS), so called "Hi-Pass" in Korea, has improved traffic flow at toll gate of highways. It is known that the improvement of traffic flow should reduce air pollutants and $CO_2$ from vehicles. In this study, real driving emission of a light duty truck with Portable Emission Measurement System(PEMS) has been measured to evaluate the emission reduction effect due to ETCS. The correlations between driving variables and emissions have been analyzed to verify its effect on traffic flow improvement and emission reduction at toll gate. We considered average vehicle speed, Relative Positive Acceleration (RPA), and the distance of queue as driving variables. Compared to passing Manual Toll Collection System (MTCS) lane without queue, ETCS was able to reduce 38.7% of $NO_x$, 21.6% of soot, and 27.7% of $CO_2$. The results showed that the higher the average vehicle speed, the lower RPA and no queue in ETCS contributed to the emission reductions. Linear equation models with RPA and queue have been established by the multiple linear regression method. The linear models resulted in the higher coefficient of determination than those with only average vehicle speed used for establishing vehicle emission factors.

이송장비 풀링(Pooling)과 우선순위 규칙(Dispatching rule) 조합에 따른 컨테이너 터미널 생산성 효과분석 (The Effect Analysis on the Container Terminal Productivity according to Combination of YT Pooling and Dispatching Rules)

  • 오늘날 컨테이너 터미널은 증가하는 물동량을 유치하기 위하여 치열한 경쟁을 펼치고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 컨테이너 터미널의 생산성 향상을 위한 노력의 일환으로 두 가지 야드 트럭 우선순위 규칙(Dispatching rule)을 제안하였다. 첫 번째 Multi-attribute Dispatching은 컨테이너 터미널 생산성에 영향을 미치는 복수 요인들의 가중합으로 구성된 할당 방법이며, 선박의 체류시간을 감소시키기 위하여 안벽 크레인의 작업량을 고려하였다. 두 번째 Cycling Dispatching은 터미널 생산성 개선에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 Double cycle횟수를 증가시키기 위한 할당 방법이다. 또한 본 연구는 풀링(Pooling)과 우선순위 규칙(Dispatching rule)이 터미널 생산성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 풀링과 우선순위 규칙을 조합한 8가지 시나리오를 구성하였다. 실험은 실제 컨테이너 터미널의 데이터를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 구현하였다. 실험 결과, 풀링과 우선순위 규칙 그리고 둘의 교호작용이 생산성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 8가지 시나리오 중에서는 터미널 기준 풀링과 Multi-attribute Dispatching의 조합이 GCR, 선박 출항지연시간 등 KPI 지표에서 우수한 결과를 보임을 확인하였다.

서울시 대기 중 이산화질소 농도와 천식증상의 비교 연구 - 2012~2013년 지역사회건강조사 자료를 중심으로 - (Comparison Study of Nitrogen Dioxide and Asthma Doctor's Diagnosis in Seoul - Base on Community Health Survey 2012~2013 -)

  • Seoul city has high population density as well as high traffic congestion, which are vulnerable to exposure of environmental pollutions caused by car traffic. However, recent studies are only on local regions about road traffic and air pollution or health effect of road traffic on residents. Thus, comprehensive study data are needed in terms of overall Seoul regions. In this study utilized the nitrogen dioxide concentration through the national air pollution monitoring network data, 2012 to 2013. It also divided regions into high and low exposure districts via the Origin destination data developed by the Korea transport institute to quantify and evaluate the effect of transport policies and analyzed a correlation of asthma symptoms with high and low exposure districts through raw data of community health survey from the Korea centers for disease control and prevention. Based on the collected data, the pearson's correlation analysis was conducted between air pollution substance concentration and high exposure district and multiple logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine the effect of traffic environment and factors on asthma symptoms of residents. Accordingly, the following results were derived. First, the high exposure district was higher concentrations of nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$) as per time compared to those of the low exposure district (p<0.01). Second, analysis on correlation between average daily environmental concentration in the air pollution monitoring network and road traffic showed that nitrogen dioxide had a significant positive correlation (p<0.01) with car traffic and total traffic as well as with truck traffic (p<0.05) statistically. Third, an adjusted odds ratio about asthma doctor's diagnosis in the high and low exposure districts was analyzed through the logistic regression analysis. With regard to an adjusted model 2 (adjusted gender, age, health behavior characteristics, and demographic characteristics) odds ratio of asthma doctor's diagnosis in the high exposure district was 1.624 (95% CI: 1.269~2.077) compared to that of the low exposure district, which was significant statistically (p<0.001).
