  • Human Thioredoxin (TRX) with with redox-active dithiol (C-C-Y-C-) in the active site has been cloned as adult T cell leukemia derived factor produced by HTLV-I transformed cells.   • The epidermal growth factor (EGF) is an important signaling ligand for the mitogenesis of many cells. The EGF receptors use signaling molecule multicomplexes and dynamic protein networks for the transmission and amplification of the signals as well as for the regulation of the cellular responses. EGF signaling has been reported to be enhanced in various tumors by the overexpressed EGF receptor and/or the mediators such as phospholipase C-$\gamma$1(PLC$\gamma$1). (omitted)

  • This paper reviewed effects of global climatic changes on wetland biogeochemistry, Wetlands play key roles in global as well as local material cycle, which includes carbon sequestration, $CH_4$ emission and DOC leaching, Increased air temperature, elevated $CO_2$ levels and changed precipitation patterns are believed to affect those processes substantially by modifying oxygen supply, carbon sources, and decomposition rates. For example, elevated $CO_2$ may increase $CH_4$ emission as well as DOC leaching from wetlands. In addition, interactions of multiple effects warrant further investigation.

  • Brunei Darussalam is a Malay Islamic Monarchy practicing and upholding traditional heritage. Brunei Darussalam is rich with tangible and intangible cultural heritage shaped by its way of life. One of the traditions maintained and preserved in the country is traditional textile weaving. The tradition covers both consumption and production. In the context of consumption, traditional textiles have multiple roles and symbolic meanings. In the context of production, the tradition showcases great skills and the distinctive cultural, social, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional values of the people of Brunei. This paper will explicate the distinctive values and characteristics of Brunei people from the practices of textile weaving.

  • 최근에 무인비행체의 역할과 활용이 다양해짐에 따라 고 난이도의 임무 수행 요구가 증가하고 있으며 이를 해결하기 위하여 복수 소형무인비행체의 운용 및 관련 시스템 개발에 관한 연구가 활발히 수행되고 있다. 복수 소형 무인비행체 기반 응용 시스템은 관제요원이 여러 대의 소형무인비행체를 지속적으로 제어, 관리해야 하기 때문에 관제요원의 업무 복잡성이 증대되는 문제를 지닌다. 따라서 복수 소형무인비행체 기반 응용 시스템의 성공적인 구현을 위해서는 효율적인 관제를 수행할 수 있는 소프트웨어 플랫폼 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 복수 소형무인비 행체를 이용한 응용 시스템에 효과적인 지상관제 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 소프트웨어 플랫폼 개발에 필요한 요구사항들을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 소프트웨어를 설계, 구현한다. X-plane 비행시뮬레이터를 이용한 모의실험을 통하여 복수의 비행데이터들이 화면에 효과적으로 출력됨을 확인하고 다수의 소형무인비행체에서 전송되는 영상데이터들이 실시간으로 통합 시현됨을 보인다.

  • The Fashion Distribution Business (FDB) is thriving to such an extent that the current period is called "The Era of Fashion." This FDB shows tendencies towards specialzation, globalization and expansion. The domestic FDB has been rapidly globalizing, and thus it is time for us to recognize that the fashion business has grown beyond its former role as a production-oriented retail business to include multiple new roles. This strategy to plant Store Identity on customers is just a Visual Merchandising (VMD) Strategy. That is, a strategy to visualize the Product Planning, which can be called a Complex Visual Expressing Technical System that classifies and arranges products in order to be easily seen, chosen, and bought through exhibition and arrangement. My aim is to break away from the conept that has been focused only on display division and to present product scheme correctly and to establish a VMD Plan which can also contribute to sales promotion by providing infirmation and arranging Store Display efficiently for customers. Regional Relative Price Disparities and Their Driving Forces

  • This paper studies the long-run behavior of relative price dispersion among cities in Korea with a special emphasis on heterogeneous transitional patterns of price level dynamics. Formal statistical tests indicate considerable evidence for rejecting the null of relative price level convergence among the majority of cities over the sample period of 1985-2015. The analysis of gravity model suggests that the effect of transportation costs on intercity price level differentials is limited, while other socioeconomic factors, such as income, input factor prices, demographic structure, and housing price growth, play key roles in accounting for persistent regional price level disparities. Individual price levels are found to be better explained by a multiple-component model, and the deviations from PPP may be attributed to distinct stochastic common trends that are characterized by income and demographic structure.

아동의 또래괴롭힘 참여유형의 판별변인 분석 (Discriminant Analysis of Bullying Participant Roles among Children)

  • This paper was an examination of gender-specific behaviors in children and the types of bullying behavior among 1,181 fifth and sixth grade elementary schools student identified were then classified. Differences were identified in individual variables, family variables, and school variables. The data thus collected were subjected to descriptive and comparative statistical analysis using the SPSS software program. Our results showed that multiple discriminant analysis yielded a function of individual, family and school variables that proved effective in classifying bully, reinforcer, assistant, victim, outsider and defender types in boys. In girls, multiple discriminant analysis yielded a function of individual variables that was effective in classifying bully, reinforcer, assistant, victim, outsider and defender types.

SLIP CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM

  • Two major roles of the traction control system (TCS) are to guarantee the acceleration performance and directional stability even in extreme road conditions, under which average drivers may not control the car properly. Commercial TCSs use experiential methods such as lookup table and gain-scheduling to achieve proper performance under various road and vehicle conditions. This paper proposes a new slip controller which uses the brake and the throttle actuator simultaneously. To avoid measurement problems and to get a simple structure, the brake controller and the throttle controller are designed using Lyapunov redesign method and multiple sliding mode control respectively. Through the hybrid use of brake and throttle controllers, the vehicle is insensitive to the variation of the vehicle mass, brake gain and road condition and can achieve the required acceleration performance. The proposed method is validated with simulations based on 15 DOF passenger car model.

Hybrid combiner design for downlink massive MIMO systems

  • We consider a hybrid combiner design for downlink massive multiple-input multiple-output systems when there is residual inter-user interference and each user is equipped with a limited number of radio frequency (RF) chains (less than the number of receive antennas). We propose a hybrid combiner that minimizes the mean-squared error (MSE) between the information symbols and the ones estimated with a constant amplitude constraint on the RF combiner. In the proposed scheme, an iterative alternating optimization method is utilized. At each iteration, one of the analog RF and digital baseband combining matrices is updated to minimize the MSE by fixing the other matrix without considering the constant amplitude constraint. Then, the other matrix is updated by changing the roles of the two matrices. Each element in the RF combining matrix is obtained from the phase component of the solution matrix of the optimization problem for the RF combining matrix. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme performs better than conventional matrix-decomposition schemes.
