어안 워핑 이미지 기반의 Ego motion을 이용한 위치 인식 알고리즘 (Localization using Ego Motion based on Fisheye Warping Image)

  • This paper proposes a novel localization algorithm based on ego-motion which used Lucas-Kanade Optical Flow and warping image obtained through fish-eye lenses mounted on the robots. The omnidirectional image sensor is a desirable sensor for real-time view-based recognition of a robot because the all information around the robot can be obtained simultaneously. The preprocessing (distortion correction, image merge, etc.) of the omnidirectional image which obtained by camera using reflect in mirror or by connection of multiple camera images is essential because it is difficult to obtain information from the original image. The core of the proposed algorithm may be summarized as follows: First, we capture instantaneous $360^{\circ}$ panoramic images around a robot through fish-eye lenses which are mounted in the bottom direction. Second, we extract motion vectors using Lucas-Kanade Optical Flow in preprocessed image. Third, we estimate the robot position and angle using ego-motion method which used direction of vector and vanishing point obtained by RANSAC. We confirmed the reliability of localization algorithm using ego-motion based on fisheye warping image through comparison between results (position and angle) of the experiment obtained using the proposed algorithm and results of the experiment measured from Global Vision Localization System.

  • Objectives : Ginseng Radix Rubra water extract(RGE) has been used in vivo test for its beneficial effects on neuronal survival and neuroprotective functions, particularly in connection with APP-related dementias and Alzheimer's disease (AD). APP derived from proteolytic processing of the ${\beta}$-amyloid precursor protein (APP), including the amyloid-${\beta}$ peptide (A${\beta}$), plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's dementia. Methods : We determined that RGE inhibits formation of APP, which are the behavior, and possibly causative, feature of AD. Results and Conclusions : In the cells, RGE significantly activated antiapoptosis and decreased the activity of APP-grim, a key enzyme in the apoptosis cell-signaling cascade. These results suggest that neuronal damage in AD might be due to two factors: a direct APP toxicity and multiple cellular and molecular neuroprotective mechanisms, including attenuation of apoptosis and direct inhibition of APP, underlie the neuroprotective effects of RGE.

나무 성장 시뮬레이션을 이용한 의자 모델링 기법 (Tree-inspired Chair Modeling)

  • 본 논문은 나뭇가지 패턴을 의자의 골격에 임의로 합성하는(Tree-Inspired Chair) 모델링 기법을 제안한다. 여러 개의 입력모델을 합성하는 기존 기법과 다르게, 제안 기법은 하나의 메쉬만 사용하여, 사용자가 원하는 부분의 contour mesh로부터 나무 성장 시뮬레이션으로 생성된 패턴을 갖는 의자 모델링이 가능하다. 우리는 나뭇가지 패턴을 생성시킬 영역 contour mesh를 효율적으로 추출하기 위하여 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 우선, 입력된 모델의 face 면적에 기반한 contour mesh를 생성하고, 그 메쉬의 앞뒷면 정보를 이용하여 연결정보가 복원된 skeleton mesh를 생성한다. 또한, 입력 모델의 형상과 유사하게 나뭇가지 패턴을 생성하기 위해 형상 표면의 tangent vector를 고려하는 3-way 나무성장 시뮬레이션 기법을 제안한다. 제안기법은 기존의 가구 모델을 이용하여 간단한 파라미터의 조작만으로 나뭇가지 형상과 가구 모델의 골격을 결합하는 새로운 형태의 가구 모델링을 보여준다. 우리는 실험을 통하여 제안 기법의 성능과 유효성을 보여주었다.

펄스 타이밍 제어를 활용한 Ka-대역 10 W 전력증폭기 모듈 (A Ka-band 10 W Power Amplifier Module utilizing Pulse Timing Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 7개의 MMIC 전력증폭기 칩과 박막기판을 결합하여 MIC 모듈을 구성함으로써 Ka-대역 중심주파수 영역에서 10 W 이상의 출력전력을 가지는 펄스모드 전력증폭기 모듈을 설계하고 제작하였다. 전력증폭기 모듈의 제작에는 밀리미터파 대역에 적합한 수정된 형태의 윌킨슨 전력분배기/합성기와 모듈의 조림과정에서 공진을 억제하고 작은 삽입손실 특성을 보이는 CBFGCPW-Microstrip 천이구조를 활용하였다. 전력용 MMIC 바이어스 회로에 사용된 큰 값의 바이패스 캐패시터에 의해 발생되는 펄스모드 출력전력의 감소를 개선하고자 TTL 펄스 타이밍 제어 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 10 kHz, $5\;{\mu}sec$ 펄스모드로 동작하는 전력증폭기 모듈에 적용한 결과 펄스모드 동작시간을 200 nsec 이상 개선할 수 있었고 0.62 W의 출력전력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 구현된 전력증폭기 모듈은 59.5 dB의 전력이득과 11.89 W의 출력전력을 보여주었다.

인삼윤폐산(人蔘潤肺散) 및 인삼윤폐산가미방(人蔘潤肺散加味方)의 효능(效能)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (Experimental Studies on the Efficiency of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangamibang)

  • Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effect of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangamibang on viscousity of mucin solution, pulmonary thromboembolism, oxygen consumption in $O_3$ - exposed and Lung TBA in rats and mice. The result was obtained as follows: 1. In the effect of Insamyounpaesan and I nsamyounpaesangami-bang on the rate of viscousity sampled from mucin, Insam-younpaesan and Insamyounpaesangamibang were revealed to have a significant effect of decreasinf the rate of viscousity (p<0.05). 2. In the effect of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangami-bang on sodium arachidonic acid induced pulmonary thrombo-embolism, Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangarnibang were revealed to have an effect of increasing the number of survival(p<0,05), but were not significant. 3. In the effect of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangami-bang on ADP induced pulmonary thromboembolism, Insam-younpaesangamibang were revealed to have an effect of increasing the number of survival(p<0.05), but were not significant. 4. In the effect of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangami-bang on oxygen cansumption values in rats exposed, Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangamibang were revealed to have a significant effect on the care of lung damages (p<0.05), but were not significant by Duncan's multiple comparision test. 5. In the effect of Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangami-bang on the lung TBA values in rats exposed $-O_3$, Insam-younpaesangamibang were revealed to have a significant effect (p<0.05) on the care of lung damages. In connection with the results of the studies, Insamyounpaesan and Insamyounpaesangamibang are concluded to be effective on the treatment of cough and lung and respiratory organ damages.

노인요양시설 활동공간 이용의 활성화를 위한 요소 분석 (The Analysis of the Elements for the Lively Use of Activity Areas in the Elderly Nursing Facilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the relations among the residents' characteristics, the policy of the facility, and the physical characteristics of activity areas, and to understand the elements for the lively use of activity areas in the elderly nursing facilities. The results of the study are as follows: First, there was a relationship between the characteristics of semi-public activity areas and the residents' management-control policy. The facilities having semi-public areas of living room type showed more flexibility in time and place and more respects for the residents. Second, the activity areas of connection type were much more used than the compartment type, especially in the facilities having more residents incapable of walking. On the other hand, the facilities having high control for the residents showed high using rate in public activity areas, and all those did not have semi-public areas or showed low using rate in there. Third, in the analysis of the relationship between the physical characteristics and the using rate of activity areas, the public activity areas having compartment type in the spatial composition and hall as a form were likely to have multiple usages. On the whole, the various form of activity areas, the area per residents, openness, accessibility and centrality were having interactions each other for high using rate in activity areas. Especially, many stimulations and the furniture arrangements that were good for the residents' interactions had a function of compensation for the poor physical characteristics of activity areas. This study investigated only the using rates to understand the lively use of the space. For the future study, it is suggested that the detail using behavior of the residents should be examined to understand the influential elements.

반복 반점화: 지각적 모호성이 물체 재인에 미치는 영향 (Repetition Antipriming: The Effects of Perceptual Ambiguity on Object Recognition)

  • 물체의 신경 표상은 시각 피질 전반에 걸쳐 분산되어 있고 다른 물체의 신경 표상과 중첩된 형태로 유지된다. 따라서 특정 물체를 반복적으로 접하면 그 물체의 재인은 촉진되지만 다른 물체의 재인은 상대적으로 손상될 수 있다. 이러한 현상을 각각 반복 점화(priming)와 반점화(antipriming)라고 한다. 본 연구는 반복 반점화 즉, 반복된 물체 자체가 반점화 될 가능성을 검증하였다. 학습 단계에서 참가자들은 다양한 수준으로 화질이 손상된 물체 사진들의 재인 수준을 평정하였고 검사 단계에서는 정상적인 화질의 물체 사진을 보고 범주 판단 과제를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 실험 1과 2에서 모두 학습 단계에서 쉽게 재인되었던 물체는 검사 단계에서 더 효율적으로 처리되었지만(반복 점화), 반대로 학습 단계에서 지각적으로 모호했던 물체는 검사 단계에서 비효율적으로 처리되었다(반복 반점화). 이러한 결과는 지각적으로 모호한 물체를 경험할 때 세부특징에 관한 감각 표상과 다수의 물체 표상들 간의 연결이 강화되어 후속 재인 과정을 방해하기 때문인 것으로 추정된다.

마을 아카이브를 도입한 백령도 탐방로 조성계획 (Planning for Baekryeong Island Trail Introducing Local Archive)

  • This study has set up a plan to establish a trail as a means of maximizing a community by using the residents' living materials and unused facilities that a village holds now. A local archive is a place where the records and living materials collected from a village are preserved, displayed and shared with others, serving as a complex space with multiple functions. To apply the idea of 'utilizing a local archive', the empirical study was conducted by making an analysis of trail resources of Baekryeong Island and local archive application resources. Local archive resources were selected through evaluation of connection of trail routes by investigating and discovering the unused facilities of Baekryeong Island village and the depreciation level and scale of them. And actual local archive living references were investigated and collected through in-depth interviews of villagers. Also, through planning of trails by region, limitations of investigation activities were improved and various tangible and intangible resources owned by Baekryeong Island were utilized to enable effective and distinctive investigation activities and experiences. Unused facilities were surveyed and chosen to take advantage of the local archive space, along with in-depth interviews with the residents living in Baekryeong Island. In addition, the current conditions for the trail routes were checked out in order to 'point out the final routes'.

  • Objectives : From Scrophularia buergeriana water extract(SBW), has been used in vivo test for its beneficial effects on neuronal survival and neuroprotective functions, particularly in connection with APP-related dementias and Alzheimer's disease(AD). $A{\beta}$ oligomer derived from proteolytic processing of the ${\beta}$-amyloid precursor protein(APP), including the amyloid-${\beta}$ peptide($A{\beta}$), play a critical role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's dementia. Methods : Using drosophila APP model on APP-induced neuronal cytotoxicity, we demonstrated that SBW prevents neurotoxicity of $A{\beta}$ oligomer, which are the behavior, and possibly causative, feature of AD. We investigated the neuroprotective effects of SBW against the effects of oligomeric $A{\beta}$ and fly behaveior and life span by UAS-GRIM/APP-GAL within transgenic flies. Results and Conclusions : SBW repaired damage leading to the behaveior of APP-induced fly and delayed life span. These results suggest that neuronal damage in AD might be due to two factors: a direct $A{\beta}$ oligomer toxicity and multiple cellular and molecular neuroprotective mechanisms, including attenuation of apoptosis and direct inhibition of $A{\beta}$ oligomer, underlie the neuroprotective effects of SBW.

멀티홈 모바일 호스트상에서 스트라이핑 전송계층 연결을 위한 적응형 버퍼튜닝기법 (An Adaptive Buffer Tuning Mechanism for striped transport layer connection on multi-homed mobile host)

  • 최근 무선네트워크 기술은 이동 응용프로그램을 위해 이종통신망 연결패스 상에서 병렬로 스트라이핑 데이터 기술을 이용해 고속 데이터를 전달을 가능케 한다 [2]. 전통적으로 대역폭지연프로덕트(BDP) 기반에서 고속전송은 송신자 측에서 다중 TCP 소켓의 튜닝을 요구한다. 더욱이, 메모리와 네트워크 요구의 균형을 유지하는 ATBT같은 기술은 유선기반의 단일 소켓상에서 하나의 플로우만 가정하여 설계되었다. 그러므로 본 논문은 여러 무선 패스를 경유하는 이종 무선네트워크 상에서 고속전송을 가능케하는 스트라이핑 전송기술에 적합한 버퍼튜닝 기술을 제안한다. 제안 기술은 이동성, 링크손실, 대역폭변동성 등의 특징을 지닌 무선 멀티홈 모바일 호스트상에서 작동하는 전송계층에서의 자원관리기술이다. 실험을 통하여 유선기반의 ATBT를 본 환경에 적용한 것보다 메모리, 평균 전송량에 있어 제안 기술의 성능이 우수하다.
