Computation-Communication Overlapping in AES-CCM Using Thread-Level Parallelism on a Multi-Core Processor (멀티코어 프로세서의 쓰레드-수준 병렬성을 활용한 AES-CCM 계산-통신 중첩화)

  • Multi-core processors are becoming increasingly popular. As they are widely adopted in embedded systems as well as desktop PC's, many multimedia applications are being parallelized on multi-core platforms. However, it is difficult to parallelize applications with inherent data dependencies such as encryption algorithms for multimedia data. In order to overcome this limit, we propose a technique to overlap computation and communication using an otherwise idle core in this paper. In particular, we interpret the problem of multimedia computation and communication as a pipeline design problem at the application program level, and derive an optimal number of stages in the pipeline.

  • The relationship of information collection and utility is relationship of man to man, but is developed object to object by information communication and control system. This paper suggests a multimedia collaboration environment based on M2M(Machine to machine). We propose a study on reliability for application QoS in distributed multimedia. When it recovers, the characteristic of this system is to use the same method to get back again it as it creates a session.

  • This study is to investigates a development of multimedia contents for the web-based education system. With the comming new millenieum, we have a lot of experience in pluralistic society. especially we are affected by multimedia data with information and knowledge-based society, and the development of information technology, that is we are a lot influenced by multimedia data. This study is to explore multimedia contents which have still and dynamic. With this discussed, teaching and learning from multimedia contents makes learners construct meaning knowledge through the seeing and hearing, interactive communication. thus we need to include the multimedia education in a curriculum.

Optimal Path Search Algorithm for Urban Applying Received Signal Strength on Satellite Communication Environment (위성통신 환경에서 전파수신감도를 활용한 도심지 최적경로탐색 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal path search algorithm that applies the received signal strength between a mobile device and a satellite. Because the common path search algorithm is only based on the shortest path search, it is difficult to provide stable multimedia services for the satellite mobile devices. The proposed algorithm provides the stable communication environment for the satellite mobile devices based on received signal strength. In Satellite communications, changes in the radio quality are severe depending on the receiving environment. Therefore, an accurate analysis of the receiving environment characteristics is very important for providing stable multimedia services of satellite communications. The causes of radio attenuation are atmosphere attenuation, vegetation attenuation and buildings attenuation. These factors were applied to analyze the received signal strength. The proposed algorithm can search the optimal path in urban for stable satellite multimedia services.

  • 본 논문에서는 충돌검출과 관련하여 연산량을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 이는 많은 양의 삼각형 메쉬를 가지는 객체의 충돌을 검출할 때 시스템 부하의 발생을 해결하기 위한 방법으로, 일정 비율로 삼각형 메쉬를 그룹지어 관리함으로써 부하를 줄일 수 있는 방법이다.

  • 현재 명함교환 App은 Bluetooth, QR, NFC 등의 기술을 이용하여 연락처 정보만 교환하는 방식이다. 이는 컴퓨팅 오브젝트의 저장 공간이 매우 한정적이기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로 웹페이지를 이용하여 연락처 정보와 디자인을 고려한 이미지까지 사용가능하도록 하였다. 연락처 정보와 디자인을 위한 템플릿 정보를 함께 압축하여 저장 공간의 효율성을 높이고 개인의 특색에 맞는 명함 디자인을 교환하는 방식이다.

  • Traffic specification plays a crucial role in the resource reservation for video services over the packet-switching networks. The current development of QoS-guaranteed service still leaves a wide space for the selection of traffic specification. We propose a new method to estimate the traffic specification of variable-bit-rate (VBR) video for deterministic service. The method is based on the concept of empirical envelope and the delay bound. The solution shows to be simple yet it provides excellent network utilization.

  • The wireless communication network is evolving toward the Personal Communication System to provide various multimedia services. In order to accomplish this goal, the effective schemes are required which can dynamically utilize the limited wireless resources based on traffic characteristics of each services. This paper proposes a novel call admission control scheme for the hierarchical macrocell/microcell structured PCS. It is based on the bandwidth reservation procedure performed in the macrocell or neighboring microcell. Its effectiveness is investigated by simulation.

  • This paper explains the design and implementation of the FDA(Fault Detection Agent). FDA is a system that is suitable for detecting software error for multimedia distance education based on home network environment. This system consists of an ED, and ES. ED is an agent that detects an error by hooking techniques for multimedia distance education based on home network environment. ES is an agent that is an error sharing system for multimedia distance education based on home network environment. From the perspective of multimedia collaborative environment, an error application becomes another interactive presentation error is shared with participants engaged in a cooperative work. Performance analysis is done by Comparison of Hooking with Snatching Method.
